The little truck looks great. For the cracked windows, the driver needed some air. Martin the grille also looks like a 1959 or 1960 Ford pickup truck. I'll be looking for you next week. Thank you for sharing

Hi Martin, good choice this week ,just about to do the one i have ,will be easier now i have watched you do one ,great job ,cheers .
Cheers my friend have fun the only tricky bit was getting the rear body over the pins when putting it back together.
All the best Martin
Nice job Martin, first thing I thought wen I saw it was a notice board, Martin dares Diecast Restoration.
That's a good idea. Unfortunately, I can't do my own decals, and I am hoping to get a load printed with a name so I can put them on my lorrys and vans .
All the best Martin
Nice job mate 👌🏻it's amazing how heavy glass is no wonder you need a thumping big truck to transport it around on. Nice old casting that. I always remember getting my truck licence in Australia. The bloke giving me the test had relaxed a bit and put his foot on the dash board as he needed his knee to rest his clip board on as he was writing. As I came around a corner I came up on a roundabout a bit to quick so I slammed the brakes on. The poor bloke who was not wearing a seatbelt slipped off the seat and landed on the floor. He said oh well at least you had both hands on the wheel when you braked. I don't know if it was because he was embarrassed that he fell on the floor but he still passed me.😂😂👍🏻
🤣🤣 Nice one ,when I first drove a big truck my instructor said its not like driving a car be carful of the brakes because thay are air brakes and thay work instantly he wasn't wrong, the first time I used them I nearly broke my flipping neck ,I was certainly more carful after that .but good fun .
All the best Martin
Great restoration Martin, simple design compared to the last few you've done, like the glass added detail, Cheers mate
Thanks Tom ,yes it made a pleasant change to do an easy one .
All the best Martin 👍
Hi Martin another good job done there , those budgie toys were certainly made not to pull apart or refit going by the struggling to refit it
Cheers Kevin yes the re fit was a tough one to do without damage to the paint work .
as they used to say on Monty Python '' now for something completely different '' unusual choice mate love it !👍👍
Thanks Neil
Yeah I reckon it's a TK Bedford, Martin. You've done a superb job on it, the detailing is great as usual and the glass load really finishes it off. Looking forward to your next video. All the best. Peter.
Thanks Peter, I appreciate it my friend 👍
Hello Martin l like these Budgie models they made a lot more unusual models l have the foden aircraft tanker to restore this is a very unusual model olso the AA van to restore you have made a first class job of yours it looks great. Hope you and your family are keeping well regards Glyn
Thanks very much, the aircraft tanker is a great looking casting I haven't got one ass yet but hopefully son I have the AA lorry and trailer that one will be coming up this year some time .
All the best Martin
Turned out nice the glass really ads too it nice detail too
Thanks Dean glad you liked it 👍
Cool choice, nice detailing. Some say you should leave it original looking but you know if they had time on that production line they would have done the detailing also. Cheers ol' buddy! ✌️😎
Thanks Don ,yes I would agree thay probably would have tried, some castings just cry out for extra details.
All the best Martin
Hi pal it's definitely a tk Bedford but for some reason no side windows behind doors of the all the the lorries I've got never seen this model before lovely job mate
Cheers nigel yes your right if I find another one I might try cutting a small window out it might work.
All the best Martin
Well done Martin, another nice job never worked on Budgie toys got a couple but nothing like that. You are the master. Hope Mrs Dares is doing ok, or should I call her the paInt coordinator. Started dabbling with my repairs again after 6 months an hour every few days. Take care mate all the best Rob.
Thanks Rob yes the boss is doing good, still bending my ear .I am really pleased to hear you're doing a bit. That's great news take it steady.
All the best Martin
A++
Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated 👍
Great minds or small world? I just decided yesterday to do one of the UK Corgi Commer scrappers as a glass truck! I am scratchbuilding a body and mounting it on a cab and chassis. More later, since it will probably be painted blue.
Liked that little Budgie a lot - nice size, and nicer finish than the original. Funny the Bedford didn't get the badging... patent? No permission? Strange. Great result!
Cheers fraser, yes thay also forgot or couldn't put the small window in the back corners of the cab .
Yours sounds interesting all the best Martin
Ramsey's diecast model guide has this listed as a TK.There is,though,a blinding omission in this casting, the small window behind the door.I have a mate who own's a real TK,& he also collects models. He said he couldn't understand why that window was left out.Very good,if basic resto,Martin.
Side windows and two panels on hinges to get to the engine oil and water had one of these wagons in the 80s awful thing give a foden anytime
Thanks Terry yes it's a shame thay left it out it would be interesting to know why .a real T K very nice .
All the best Martin 👍
Don't let him drive under any low bridges!👍😀
🤣🤣 I certainly won't, all the best Martin
The old Bedford TK once all over the shop we even had them at Royal Mail with their unmistakable air brake sound it sounded like plysoooooo…. 😊,lovely job still makes me wonder how the get these awkward clips to fit in the factory ,all the best mate
Mark 😊😊
Thanks Mark, yes thay were every where but know where now , it certainly would have been fiddly putting the clips on at the factory that's for shore .
All the best Martin 👍
This channel makes me want to start collecting more dinky and Corgis 😂
Thanks very much, my friend. Enjoy the hunt for more castings I enjoy tracking them down
All the best Martin

Thanks Kenny much appreciated my friend
Very nice Martin. Your paint always looks amazing. You haven't said for awhile, do you use the same manufacturers primer, paint and lacquer? Thanks as always.
Thanks very much, we're possible I will use same brand primer paint and clear coat but sometimes it's difficult to get all the same when you need it if your in the UK I use hycote paint but unfortunately thay always seem to run out of primer and clear coat so I found halfords primer and clear coat works well with the hycote and I tend to use halfords colours if I can't find what I want in hycote plus now and again halfords have a clear out of discontinued paint and sell it of really cheap last time I got some it was £3 a tin .
All the best Martin
Another amazing job my friend!! Love the color scheme and that caustic soda is just amazing! Do you have away to fix cracked window glass? just curious. BG
Hi Mr B thank you very much ,the costic sodo is great stuff ,I haven't found a successful way of repairing cracks in the window units as yet but having said that I see you have a video in your back catalogue about this so I will be having a look latter and see if it will work for me
All the best Martin and thanks for your support my friend
Hi Martin put a bit of the old super dooper in the hole are they stickers or transfer’s if stickers let it be but transfer fill it fantastic job
Thanks Anthony, thy were decals my friend so had to fill the hole .
All the best Martin 👍
Great job, Martin. I dont have any budgie stuff, are they slightly smaller than corgi/dinky ? Although they look bigger than matchbox ?
Cheers Chris yes there some where in between corgi and matchbox a bit like lone star ,but still a decent size to work with .
All the best Martin
hi martin. cd case thats a nice idea keep em coming tips lol. nice looking tk now and what clear do you use with the wilko paint or is it the wilko clear you get to i know some paint react to others so just a q thanks.
Thanks very much my friend, I tend to keep to the same brand clear coat as the paint but having said that Halfords clear coat is a good all round clear coat and works with most brands I think wilko are discontinuing there rattle can paint but not 100% sure .
All the best Martin 👍
