  • Revelatory interview with an Australian journalist in 1985 with an unguarded Paul McCartney talking about John Lennon - at one point he stops the interview - giving true insight into the depth of their relationship. McCartney also answers questions about Beatles influences, recording techniques and the state of music in 1985

I like that this interviewer asks a question and lets Paul answer it without interruption. Well done.

How people can watch this and say that it isn’t Paul is beyond me. I’ve watched every Beatles clip I can get my hands on over the years continuously. The people that say this must be daft. You see the little boy in him as he grows even today at 80. The little mannerisms and expressions - he’s right there and they’ve missed out on him as the amazing solo artist I’ve loved all my life as I was born 4 years after the group broke up. Disgusting and sad.

Just compare a photo of Paul in 1965 to a photo of him in 1967, definitely NOT the same person.

You can see the pain in his face and eyes when he talks about John. Paul is good at hiding emotions but sometimes you can tell.

I've just heard the song 'Here Today'. Knowing that it was a tribute to John makes it even more sad and beautiful of a song. Rest in peace John and George.

Lennon could not stand Billy/Faul/ Macca 2. I am not even sure if the real Lennon was shot. He may have had a double shot so he could escape from show biz and have his own quiet life back. The more you do research into the whole Beatles matter the fishier it gets.

@@allymayful Ok, the reason I couldn’t find it is because the date in the title is wrong. This was actually from 1982, filmed February 11th and broadcast on Good Morning Australia April 11th-15th. Then it was rebroadcast on other channels around the world. The interviewer is John Torv.
