Fun fact: the police department my mum worked at was previously a monastery, or, moreso, just living quarters for monks. All the offices were quite narrow and the caffeteria was in the basement where you had to walk this windy corridor to get there. I think that fact is why appreciate when a police department is not just a plain old police department but has some history to it.
My dude Leon came into Raccoon City hungover and still put the beats on Birkin and Mr X as a rookie cop on his first day, all while dealing with an injured shoulder that took a bullet. Dude was a badass way before RE4 lol.

REfixed!! At least the new precinct in RE2Remake has a public bathroom AND two separate shower rooms. Still makes me wonder, Chief Irons had to travel a looong way, or the Lab that had a nap room yet no toilet!
No bathrooms are necessary. Police officers don't poop. It's a well known fact that they just don't have the time with all they do for our communities. Jokes aside (and I was serious about all they do for our communities), this woman has an incredible voice that makes their incredible content even more incredible.
I just wanted to say Rest In Peace Paul Haddad, the original voice of Leon in Resident Evil 2 (1998), who died only a few days ago. You helped an amazing game franchise blossom and become much more than it was. I will never forget you screaming the amazing line "ADA NO!" and making my day every time I heard it. You will be missed.
"It's up to us to take out Umbrella!" Entire cast of protagonists proceed to never stop Umbrella, Leon buggers off to work with the Government (the ones that were funding Umbrella oddly enough), and Wesker ends up destroying Umbrella AND killing Spencer...
Your story about your brother getting you RE2 was actually very touching. My older brother was who brought RE1 over, which lead to my everlasting love for the RE story. I still remember...that...first....zombie. I tell "What do I do?!?" and my brother Jeff yells "Run, bitch, run!!!" Oh, the memories these characters have made. Great Work, TSH.
Heyyyyy! Thanks for the shoutout! I gotta say, this video hit all the right notes. I agree with everything you said....... except for 1.5's precinct being boring looking. I don't know, something about it just feels lonely and scary. As a side note, I never noticed the were no bathrooms in the rpd. Haaa!
Avalanche Reviews, yeah, also 1.5 has some locations that was partially used for RE2, and seeing them gets kind of strange feeling, like differences in Raccoon City street ways in RE2 beta’s.
No prob! Yea I get what you mean about 1.5 feeling lonely, I actually didn't mean to sound so hateful when I said it was boring, hehehe. I'm just in love with the RPD that we got! Thanks for watching too!
+Avalanche Reviews What?!? So cool to see you round these parts...you Sphere Hunter and Score PN are my fave channels to watch especially for RE content. Love you guys 😻
something so soothing and compelling about your voice and reviews. Such a refreshing contrast to the bombastic landscape of TH-cam these days. Keep doing your thing:-)
@@GeorgeZimmermen is that what you're putting on the shirt? Did you get some notes from your marketing team? Seems like a lot of extra letters to print.
Ohhh man, this game will always hold a special place in my heart. It was July 28th 1998, i just turned 12 and my parents got me this game for my Birthday. My sister and I spent all night trying to beat the game as Leon A. Ill never forget seeing the sunlight peek through our basement windows as im finally reaching the bottom platform after beating Birkin, feeling just as exhausted as Leon looked. Such good memories, this game is a treasure.
@@GeorgeZimmermen Did you have to take notes to remember to bring what where? And Conker’s Bad Fur Day zombies scared the fuck out of me when I was 12, I can imagine how much this game would have fucked with me.
The RE PS1 trilogy is literally the original Star Wars trilogy. RE1 = A New Hope (story and setting takes precedent), RE2 = Empire Strikes Back (more action - the perfect sequel), RE3 = Return of The Jedi (more action, conclusion and big finale for Racoon City)
The RE Ps1 trilogy is good trilogy all around. Their no stinker in those 3 all 3 go hand and hand. While the remake trilogy has stink bomb in . RE 1 remake the finished masterpiece the true vision of what they wanted when they made the game. RE 2 after seeing the RE 1 remake wanted a remake. did not get it exactly but still a nice follow up . RE 3 : stink bomb/elephant in the room they were looking to RE 8 and the RE 4 & CV remakes.
@@BTLAGS, fair enough. I think the RE2 Remake was perfect in a lot of ways. My only complaint with it was 3 or 4 I consistencies between the two character journeys. RE3 on the other hand, they had a great game, but took away two key things that cannot be so easily overlooked. Nemesis being nerfed and mostly scripted. Only 5 1/2 hours on average of gameplay. If I had to rank the three, it’d be... RE1 Remake 10 (Best video game reboot ever) RE 2 Remake 9.5 (I prefer this over the first, but I am being objective in overall rating). RE 3 Remake 7.0 (Too short, Nemesis lost fear factor, and a few physics scenes that lost my immersion)
Hey listen, I know that this is a message on a 2-year old video so it's like whatever. But this analysis was really fantastic and I really appreciate the effort you put into this. I just finished playing through RE2 Remake (my first RE game ever) last night and it was SO much fun. I really had an incredible time with it. It legit has me thinking about checking out other games in the series. And videos like this really help sell me on that idea. So thank you!
Projection much? I only see a man mourning over the loss of a friend's daughter. How is that creepy? Unless something written says otherwise in the game that I missed. On it's own he's not scary. Obviously that "He wanted to taxidermize the girl" is BS. He gave up taxidermy. I'm ashamed that Capcom (once again) departs from the source material to align with psychotic fantasies that these morons want to see.
@@coreym162 Word of advice: If you want to join in on a conversation, read what's been said already. We were talking about the upcoming RE2 remake, where there's a cutscene of Sherry and Claire trying to escape the police station from the parking garage, and Chief Irons shows up all like "Oh, Sherry, there you are. I've been looking all over for you.", and then takes Sherry away from Claire at gunpoint, while Sherry shows a very obvious desire to _not_ go with him. Like I said, implications. No confirmation yet, and there might never be, but the implication is there. Oftentimes, the implication is scarier than knowing for sure.
The main police station soundtrack is so damn spooky to me. When I was around 7 I played my first RE game, which was RE3. When I was met with Nemesis outside the police station, I got pretty scared. Then when I escaped into the police station, I went up to the entrance door and Nemesis started banging on it from the other side. That made me think that he will enter any second and I was trying to hurry up and get into the next room as soon as possible. However that soundtrack spaces the sounds within it so perfectly in a way where each time I'd hear that slam of a door within the music, I'd slightly flinch, thinking Nemesis was coming for me. It's just so masterfully building tension. You feel so alone, yet you know something horrible is closeby and waiting for you.
that's the same magazine i saw on walmart as a kid that catched my attention, but i was a nintendo fanboy back then so i brushed off.... then a friend at a new school invited us to his house where he had a PSone...and he had...resident evil 2...i tried it out first...and died on the first screen because i didn't knew how to move. The next summer i borrowed his PSone (he borrowed my N64 with Ocarina of Time) so i could play it and finish it myself...the next xmas i got my own PSone and bought all 3 mainline RE games.
Makes sense. In Leon A, Ada was falling to her death, so she woudn't be able to help out Claire B with the rocket launcher to take out the Tyrant. Also in Claire A, Sherry needed the serum.
More than five, theres around 20 RE games counting the various non numbered games like Code: Veronica. Not saying they are all deserving of REmakes but a few would be cool to have modern versions of.
I remember playing this game without knowing what the Leon B and Claire B campaigns were. After I beat both "A" scenarios, I then went back and said, "sure, why not?" and did Claire B and was blown away that there was another side to Chris' campaign. Then of course did the Leon B campaign. Of course this was before we had internet, I didn't have any friends that played these types of games, and I didn't have any place to get a video game magazine (small desert town) so It was a shock that a game would have this much content.
One of the things that really helps build the tension in RE games is the collection of files you find scattered around. There’s the classic “itchy, tasty” one from RE1 but they’re a great way to deliver narrative and atmosphere in all the games. The ones pertaining to Chief Irons like the secretary’s diaries really build him up as an eccentric scum bag so when you meet him you already know he’s bad news. Anyway, this is one of my favourite games ever so thank you for going into it like this.
January 25th can't come soon enough. This game was a big part of gaming for my brother and I as well. We played this game so much that when my brother got his PS1 slim 2 years after I got the game we would play the game in tandem. We would set up our TVs next to each other and he would play Leon A while I was playing Claire A. We got so good at it we could end the scenarios close tot he same time so we could go through the B story without having to wait on each other. We would sometimes do this daily.
William Rosen that's awesome man my brother is 2 years younger than me, and while I would play games like RE and kingdom hearts growing up my brother was more into first person shooters like halo lol
You're right, Leon is a cutie. I would also mention that Leon B and Claire A are canon, which is weird considering that Leon's disk comes first in the case so you're prompted to play the non-canon scenarios first. The game is really one of the best in the series. As a kid, I was too scared to play it and when I did, it seemed too hard. I have much fonder memories of RE3 since it scared me more but was also easier to beat. That being said, RE2 as a sequel is pretty much everything you'd want from the next installment. It stuck to the core of what the other game felt like, but improved on visuals, gameplay, story, and overall quality. Let's just hope this RE2 remake can capture the magic of the original like the RE1 remake did.
@@WeCareAlot4693 I'm not sure, but I've found posts as old as 2009 confirming that Claire A and Leon B are canon. www.ign.com/boards/threads/going-by-dsc-its-now-confirmed-which-scenario-is-canon-in-re2-spoilers.186977536/ Other references point to Resident Evil Dark Side Chronicles being the source of confirming that Claire A is canon. projectumbrella.net/forum/Resident-Evil-2-Canon-Scenario "Claire A / Leon B Were used as scenario basis for RE:DSC." gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/179835-resident-evil-2/76699906 "Almost all media shows Claire A/Leon B as the canon (I'll throw in Wesker's Report to the mix here)." For some reason, I really had a hard time finding any official confirmation of what the actual canon scenarios are. I never played Dark Side Chronicles and I don't remember Degeneration that well, but I think most people agree that the later games point to Claire A being canon. Maybe this remake will change or confirm what we think. For example, Leon hangs out with Marvin in the Remake, which is not part of Leon B, but perhaps Capcom is only worried about the major details in the scenarios like Sherry getting infected, Leon fighting Mr. X, and Ada not falling into a huge pit. Certainly Mr.X is a classic Leon B scenario villain, so it seems like the original canon still stands.
If You Look At The Very Begining Of The A Scenario It Always Starts On The Passenger Side Of The Car And B Scenario Starts On The Driver Side So Ive Known Before RE6 The Claire A And Leon B Was Canon Story
It's obviously posthumously cannon. It was their only way to make the story more convoluted. I don't believe it because, it doesn't matter because, the franchise and original cannon has tanked.
I remember putting so many hours into this game when it came out in 1998. The soundtrack though out the game is amazing. Perhaps the best of all RE games. I love how you put this game together. For me personally it seemed like a run through in a certain way and your voice along the story put an ice on the cake. Your voice goes very well with your videos. Great job to you because I enjoy watching your videos. I am a huge fan of Resident Evil and have been playing this series from the very beginning in 1996. Resident Evil games are my all time favorite games and always will be til the day I die. Thank you again for all your hard work. TH-cam videos are hard but fun to put together. Before I leave I just want to say one thing quoted from the first Resident Evil game. “Death is only the Beginning”
All employees proceed to the emergency car at the bottom platform. Repeat, all employees proceed to the bottom platform. Repeat, all employees proceed to the bottom platform. Repeat, all employees proceed to the bottom platform. Repeat, all employees proceed to the bottom platform. Repeat, all employees proceed to the bottom platform.
Why does that woman have such an awful accent and intonation and why did they think it would be a good idea to earrape the players with that same line every 5 seconds for the last minutes of the game?
The first floor of the police station, in addition to no bathrooms, is also impossible. There is a ramp in the main hall that sets the West office higher than than the west corridor, but there is no ramp up in the West Corridor, the stairwell or the evidence room that lead back into the West Office.
I LOVVVVVEEEEE your production value of your videos. Not to mention your voice is calming and matches with the tone of the videos. It doesn't sound super scripted either which is a A+.
I've played RE2-Remake and I love it. But watching this...brings back all those wonderful memories of playing RE2 with friends...and all of us screaming whenever Mr X jumped in. Thank you for making this :3
love your great video! When I was a kid in the 90s' I finished my first 'playthrough' by watching my older brother playing it. It was my first time in my life had a real spooky dream in the night. Your experience is so relatable and instantly put me in a sweet nostalgia.
A perfect love letter video to one of my favorite sequels in gaming. RE2 was my first Resident Evil game as a child, growing up with the series has been a great experience, and with the really impressive RE2 remake on the horizon. I simply cannot wait to revisit more RE2 goodness. Thank you for your dedication in the this retrospective series.
Here is something no-one has EVER mentioned. In RE3 the east and west doors of the main lobby are boarded up. But in RE2 these doors are "electronically locked". I didnt notice this until my back to back playthroughs and am wondering why they didn't remember that detail. Or have the doors unboarded and have Jill comment "Now isn't the time to get distracted." Or even... "The door is securely locked."
I noticed that myself actually, which got me to wonder whether RE3 is set before or after RE2, especially since Jill finds Marvin dead, but he does not look zombified.
I now declare vengeance on the youtube algorithm for not recommending this series to me before despite resident evil being one of my most looked up games on youtube
I found your channel reminiscing while the new version was downloading. Your videos are very well written and presented, and it is nice to hear someone who loves and know these games deeply still be able to be considered and fair in there commentary about them, keep it up!
Loved this. I remember not being able to play the original RE 2 and 3 so my dad got me the toys of the first 2 games which I loved. That part was touching, love the content!
27:15 *"The creature falls over the railing of the walkway into a huge vat of flammable liquid."* Mr. X falls into a vat of flammable liquid huh? Where have I seen this idea before? Hmm..... Ah. Now I know. Terminator 2. Now there's a franchise you wanna emulate, eh, Capcom?
Something I find funny about that comparison you've drawn is that IIRC one of the reasons that the RE1.5 build got scrapped was that they felt like it wasn't enough of a leap over the first; they wanted the game to do for the RE series what Mega Man 2 and Street Fighter II did for their respective series. Or in other words, they wanted to make a Terminator 2, and not just a standard sequel.
This is one of my favourite videos on RE2! Great job on the video! I remember watching my brothers play this game with their friends in their room in the dark. RE2 is my first introduction to the franchise. It’s one of my favourites memories from my childhood and it’s my favourite game in the series (possibly my favourite game of all time). I’ve beaten this game multiple times on different platforms and it’s one of those games where I can just pick up and play anytime and the excitement in playing it is still there for me. Great amount of analysis you’ve put in the video. Very impressed. I look forward to your future videos. Also, can’t wait for RE2 remake! :D
Biohazard 2 is my fav I remember the demo and I just played it over and over and over after that I really wanted the game fast forward and I have played most versions except Dreamcast plus I own it on PS Vita
Not only do you put together a great analytical review, not only do you have a great voice and presentation skills, but you clearly love the games. This is why I've been binge watching your channel!
Re 2 is an amazing sequel to the first re. Lot of re fans love this one and it's not hard to see why. Like Chris and Jill, Leon and Claire are very memorable characters and both have different stories as well that are very memorable. The atmosphere and horror is just as great along with its very memorable soundtrack. A great entry in the franchise. Hell the remake is amazing too.
I love the little change in the intro with the police car depending on who you play as first, playing as Leon first has it spin out and rear end the street sign but if you choose Claire first it hits the sign head on. I just love those little changes that set the game up appropriately.
I, too, have a sentimental attachment to this game. Now, with the remake, I’ve thoroughly been enjoying it all so much again. So now that I’ve been watching/enjoying all of your Resident Evil videos, I’m wanting to start streaming again and making videos of my play throughs and speed runs. This series is the ONLY speed running I do. I normally can’t stand speed runs, but there’s just something about RE runs. Anyway, I digress. I absolutely love this game and your videos! I’ll be keeping up with you!
In reference to my quote from the last video, your final thoughts segment where you talk about the memories of playing the first time ♥️ deserves a heart. It really hit home for me. I love your videos, so great.
Funny how when later on when they were working on Resident Evil 4. Hideki decided to scrap what they developed for 4 and would instead use what they had to bring the Father of all action games: Devil May Cry. Game Development is a crazy business.
Admittedly it’s videos like this that helped me not only get into the series but also appreciate them more than I probably would have if I played it on my own. Great Video!
This game means a lot to me. My father when I was younger was one of the people who got me into Resident evil. RE 2 was the first game I ever beat when I was 9 or 10 years old. I remember playing it so much my Leon disk stopped working. It is without a doubt not only my favorite Resident Evil game but my favorite game of all time.
@@FIREDAN075 I like it for the most part. Wish they would have done a proper a/b senarios. Could have done more with it, but over all I realy like it. Wish my dad could have seen it. Thinking of playing both again soon.
I liked your video not only for the amazing quality, but for your memories about how you started playing. It was touching and something different from the usual retrospectives. Really awesome work
I absolutely adore your videos, I played all the early RE games throughout my childhood and watching these brings all the memories back, I need to play them all again now I’m older!
17:47 and so the best ost of the game begins, very fitting and also originated a few memes like "there was a spider in the living room, when u get back with a broom its gone, this music starts, let the fight begin"
Maybe it’s been explained already so pardon my lateness. However, as it been explained why Claire and Leon didn’t run into Jill during the events of RE2. I know the first half of RE3 takes place before RE2 and the second half takes place after. However, inbetween why didn’t Claire or Leon run into or see nemesis during the events of RE2. I think it would be cool if in the RE 2 Remake you hear a subtle “staaaaaarsss” in the distance. Then have Leon or Claire is like “Hmm wonder what that could be.” kind of like a throwaway line, but to acknowledge that both RE 2 and 3 are taking place at the same time.
Capcom recently lifted the time limit on the 1 shot demo they released in Re2 remake, as u go to enter the police station as leon their is a building on your left, approach it and u can hear Nemesis say "STARS", i played it today and as a fan of re3 it sent SHIVERS down my spine
The reason why they don't run into each other is literally just that they don't ever end up in the same place at the same time. Leon and Claire don't move around the city much, they stay almost exclusively in and around the RPD, and the only major change of scenery they get is when they go to the Umbrella Nest facility, which is underground and far away from where Jill or Carlos are at. As for not seeing Nemesis, Nemesis spends all of his time hunting down Jill after he kills Brad, so once again, he's never around to be seen by Leon or Claire.
A random Devil May Cry 4 video in my recommended has led me down a rabbit hole of content. It seems we both grew up playing similar games so hearing the way you talk about them gives me all the right feels. Thank you very much. Even though you'll never see this since this is over a year old hahahaha.
I can't wait for the Alligator fight in the remake! Also wish the Man-Spiders creatures from 1.5 were in the final game because the concept art for them looked horrific.
It's a shame remake not only didn't add any new enemies but also cut a bunch of ones that were there in original (roaches, crows, spiders, vines, moth). Now DLC is adding purple smoke guys instead.
God, I played so much of this game when I was about 15 or 16. I had a good time and unlocked everything. I loved how mature it was and some of those scares were legit, especially when Mr. X busts through the wall. I recently obtained a Dreamcast copy for my Dreamcast and did a full playthrough of Claire A in 1:38! Thanks for doing this video, as I am also running through these games again in anticipation of Resident Evil 2 remake.
@ the sphere hunter : was just curious about what you find “weak” in playing as sherry ? the fact that she cannot defend herself? I find it actually adds more to the horror as a small child can die in a video game . This also caused some problems with the game being released in europe, as in england children cant die in video games . so we are actually stuck with the USA version of the game on psn. just a small fact I thought Id share with you :) other then that very enjoyous to see you do these retrospectives. Cheers
After just finishing the game, I can only assume she doesn't like that Sherry lags behind and sits down if you get too far away from her resulting in you having to go back and pick her up
This is my personal favorite RE game. As a kid, I used to play this game with my sister. She chose the Clair-first scenario, and I played the Leon-first scenario. We would each alternate between playing and watching the other play as we progressed. Seeing the differences in the story while we played through our A-B scenarios made it feel special to us, like we each got a different game. Years later, in college, I was living with my buddies in a townhouse, and we had a Playstation with RE2. One Friday afternoon, before a party was scheduled to begin, I decided to start playing, and as the night progressed, I basically ended up performing a live "let's play" for my friends and all the guests (before let's plays were even a thing). I managed to complete both scenarios in around six and a half hours, while being fairly drunk by the end. Good times.
2:38 Nemesis is much more relentless, Mr. X appears always at exactly the same places and times, you just have to evade him and exit the room, and you're safe, but when Nemesis appears is more unpredictable, and he chases across the rooms and keeps stalking you. I think that Nemesis is scarier than Mr. X.
Its kind of insane how much of a leap forward RE2 was over RE1. Id be hard pressed to think of another sequel that improved over its predecessor so much. Playing the RE2HD mod and the game is honestly still not bad looking at all even in 2021. And DAT SOUNDTRACK. Absolute god tier stuff.
The first time I played this game I was 8, with a school friend in 2002. I didn't know anything about the saga and my dad bought the game with a buch of other used games. The impact of the zombie figures gave me such a creep and fear of the dead that I had nightmares for months. I literally had to start thinking that zombies were my friends to start sleeping well at nights.
I've played these games and watched so many videos about them you'd think I'd have heard it all before...and I pretty much have. But this video(like your others) are so much fun to watch. You did a great job. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on re threemake. Thanks for the fun!
Greatest HORROR game? Silent Hill 2. It's not even close, and I LOVE the RE games. As far as actual horror games go, however, the first four SH games are unmatched.
Lol, as much as RE2 is a decent action-adventure game with horrible combat mechanics, as horror it's pretty lackluster. It's NOT SCARY AT ALL. In fact, it's the least scary game in the franchise, there's no suspense or creepy atmosphere of RE1, no adrenaline rush of RE3, and none of the constant scare factor of 4. Only parts where 2 is able to evoke a jumpscare (cheapest form of horror) is that one licker in art room, and maybe hands through the window part. Maybe, like... one more mildly scary part. Compare this with the dread of Silent Hill, Fatal Frame or Dead Space. Hell, Tomb Raider (a non-horror game) had more scary moments than Resident Evil 2! XD Even Bioshock's body horror is more effective than RE2. Now remake IS a bit scary. But original? It managed to make dogs and the Tyrant into a joke. It had great story with four campaigns, art direction, and overall balance, game and level design. It's still not RE3 or 4.
Back when I was a kid, I got this game on the N64. My brother and I became *obsessed* with it and its secrets. We ended up playing through the game like a dozen times, getting better and better at it each time. When they announce the RE2 remake, I was ecstatic....and now posting from a future where it has come out, I can say that it surpassed *almost* every expectation I had. It's phenomenal, and will go down in history, just like this game. It's also funny that you talk about the influence this game has had on the industry at large. One of my favorite moments playing through Zeboyd Games' *Cosmic Star Heroine* was returning to the first world to deal with the corrupt Police force and finding they'd all turned into zombies...and finding that their front hall had a Goddess statue in it XD Even 20 years later, this game is still fresh in peoples' minds, including game devs!
Every time I play the original RE2 and RE3 and make it to the 2nd floor on the west side, I say aloud “Now HERE’S a weird fuckin’ door.” I’m playing through Claire B right now and legitimately can’t help myself.
My god, why is your voice so soothing ??? Also, this IS the best one in the series. The first one that got me into the series and the first one I’ve beaten. I play it at least once every year.
Resident Evil 2 is kind of like Terminator 2. It's undeniably bigger, slicker and there's just MORE of everything. But I still prefer the original in both cases! The genius simplicity, the athmosphere(especially). The story in RE2 is great, but it's more or less all spelled out for us, in RE1 there's the wysiwyg element but also the "unknown" which I really like. P.S 2nd Malformation of G is the best boss theme, and the save room theme is also best in RE2-
This is the first time i watched a 39 min review about a RE game and i gotta say, the way you explain the whole story is pretty entertaining, also the little things you say about certain moments in the game that made it special for you as a child, i can relate to that since i have really memories about RE nemesis. Love your videos, you're doing a great job, keep it up.

You can make that comparison, yes
The RE Ps1 trilogy is good trilogy all around. Their no stinker in those 3 all 3 go hand and hand. While the remake trilogy has stink bomb in . @@BTLAGS, fair enough. I think the RE2 Remake was perfect in a lot of ways. My only complaint with it was 3 or 4 I consistencies between the two character journeys. Word of advice: If you want to join in on a conversation, read what's been said already.
Corey M wtf are you even talking about?
Leons "Game over," remark towards Mr. X is nowhere near as cool as Claires condescending "You LOSE big guy."

Excellent video as always Sue, you best review re3 in your jill outfit

I like how this is Claire A, Leon B. The way that GOD INTENDED
Wow, do you have footage of that sounds special! My first game magazine had re2 on the front with Leon and Claire side by side
Im gonna cry and feel so old when the updated version of this video comes out
You're right, Leon is a cutie.
Chesterfield to be fair, did they decide that order of scenarios specifically was canon until Sherry ended up in RE6?
@@WeCareAlot4693 I'm not sure, but I've found posts as old as 2009 confirming that Claire A and Leon B are canon.
www.ign.com/boards/threads/going-by-dsc-its-now-confirmed-which-scenario-is-canon-in-re2-spoilers.186977536/
Other references point to Resident Evil Dark Side Chronicles being the source of confirming that Claire A is canon.

"Claire A / Leon B Were used as scenario basis for RE:DSC."
gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/179835-resident-evil-2/76699906
"Almost all media shows Claire A/Leon B as the canon (I'll throw in Wesker's Report to the mix here)."
For some reason, I really had a hard time finding any official confirmation of what the actual canon scenarios are.
If You Look At The Very Begining Of The A Scenario It Always Starts On The Passenger Side Of The Car
And B Scenario Starts On The Driver Side
So Ive Known Before RE6 The Claire A And Leon B Was Canon Story
Well yes they are canon but from what I hear there are elements of the other two scenarios that are actually canon.

Mr. X falls into a vat of flammable liquid huh? Where have I seen this idea before? Hmm..... Ah. Now I know. Terminator 2. Now there's a franchise you wanna emulate, eh, Capcom?
I also loved the T2 references in RE4 with the lava pit and the liquid nitrogen.

I love the little change in the intro with the police car depending on who you play as first, playing as Leon first has it spin out and rear end the street sign but if you choose Claire first it hits the sign head on. I just love those little changes that set the game up appropriately.

After just finishing the game, I can only assume she doesn't like that Sherry lags behind and sits down if you get too far away from her resulting in you having to go back and pick her up

Good times.
God I LOVE your voice! It's so infectious..... in a good way!
No mention of Tofu Survivor?
No survivor,I've eating it.
Like “tofu” 🥡🥢😋
The original 1998 Resident Evil 2 is not only the greatest RE it’s the greatest Capcom game ever. I personally think it’s the best horror game ever.
Greatest Capcom game? I strictly remember Lost planet being s Capcom game.
@@blakechandler167 WHOAAAA NOW...Lost Planet isn't even in the same ballpark as RE2 man. Don't be ridiculous lol.
I played that other game.... It was no re2 and that isn't a good thing
This game and RE4 are my number 1 favorite in the series, with RE1 Remake being number 2!
I think that might be everyone's top 3
@@JayRosieGames With RE 2R being 3rd
I love your videos. How in depth you are, perfect narrative voice, and your choice of re music mixed in. Can go on and on.
Lol, the captions called Ada Wong, “Eight Along.”
Thanks to you and your videos, I've finally mustered up the courage to play the RE2 remake. I love it so far. Thank you
The 2019 remake is one of my favorite games ever, but I feel the portrayal of Chief Irons was better in the original game.
P.S 2nd Malformation of G is the best boss theme, and the save room theme is also best in RE2-
"You have once again stepped into... The world of Survival Horror... Good luck~"
Mr X bursting through the wall in the Leon part made me jump lol
I'm soooo glad I stumble upon your channel like 10mins ago. It's almost asmr like with a zombie twist!
