James, the episodes don’t need to be crazy, but unhook the camera and take other shots. The Karate Kid episode has plenty of visual gags that made it iconic.
With all due respect, I enjoyed the early AVGN character more. He was upset but never went on long yelling rants. He was angry but calm. It was funnier that way.

It's that episode you talked about Roger Corman, I realize the charm of AVGN is actually the spirit of guerilla filming. I learned film for a while and made some film, but never made something satisfying. I was taking it too seriously and expecting too much of it. The things I still enjoy watching is actually goofy stuff I filmed and edited for friends back then.
In terms of future reviews, I have thoughts. If it's another RPG episode, I think Chrono Trigger would be amazing. There's a lot of material there for a game that would usurp Earthbound in epicness. I'd LOVE to see a Kid Chameleon review. That game isn't "bad" at all, but there's a lot to be said. And maybe a Streets of Rage retrospective.
I always found it weird that James was able to beat all sorts of incredibly hard games while single handedly writing the AVGN episodes, yet never seemed to display much skill or knowledge during James and Mike Mondays
Mike played a lot, James did early on too. I remember they used to record gameplay on a vcr, when something happened in game they wrote the timestamp down from the vcrs recording timer lol. Must have been a lot of work.
