    Hi! Greetings from PR! I hope you are doing well today. You've been an inspiration for me to start with sublimation, so I appreciate the awesome content that you put out there; it's helped me tons👍. I have a question. My printer is an Epson ET 2760, and when I print I see the so called "pizza roller" marks on my image. I have search for the best settings for my printer; they have reduced somewhat, but they are still there. I've read about buying a sublimation paper with less grams in order for it to dry quicker (I've been using A-sub 125g), I've read about cleaning cloths (my printer is new so I haven't tried that yet...) and have watched many videos but to no avail. I don't know what to do as I think I've tried everything. Is this a normal occurrence that the rollers press on the paper so much that it leaves an imprint? Is there any way to reduce this even more? I appreciate your help. Have a great day and God bless.

  • @olivia8979
    @olivia8979 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I realize you can't possibly have everything and try everything. Especially since printers cost a lot of money. But I am thinking about another option and wonder if you tried it at all.
    A lot of printers an easily be turned into white toner printers - for example there is a long list of Canon and HP printers where you replace the black with white toner. (there are also dedicated white toner printers which are probably better but very expensive). And there is a smaller list of printers that can use the ghost white "sublime" toner which can print on copy paper and become a sublimation printer.
    No doubt there are limitations to going that route. But you can use the white toner to make transfers for dark fabrics - or really any fabric. And you can do sublimation without all the technical issues people have converting the Epson.
    It might still be too expensive for me. But I can use the black toner for my foiling, white toner for a form of sublimation, and sublimation toner for actual sublimation ... plus use it as my regular printer. All from one machine.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not tried that! At least yet!

      @@AngieHolden If you are interested, there is great information on the Ghost White Toner YT channel. It looks like the toner is quite expensive. But one machine that can easily convert from regular color laser printer to white toner printer to sublimiation printer and back again without altering the printer sounds quite interesting.
      I might get it, but not get the sublimation toner yet as it is quite expensive.

      If you are struggling, I would cut out a piece of paper the size you think you want the logo and put it on the shirt to get an idea if that looks right. Keep trying until you get that right then make the logo the same size in photoshop before printing.

    Hi Angie, Really not sure if you know this but I guess it won't hurt to ask you.I took your advice on buying an ecotank printer as my sublimation printer, I got the Epson ET 4800. 3 days after buying it my regular everyday printer "died". I never really liked that printer to begin with as it used cartridges and they would never last long at all. The ET 4800 was still on sale so I bought another to use as the everyday printer. So I guess my actual question is will it be ok to have BOTH of the printers connected to the same computer and just use the regular ink printer for everyday stuff and switch over to the sublimation ink printer when I do sublimation prints?

    Mine says Project incompatible. "This project is not supported by your current machine selection." When this happens with my basic cricut cuts, i just put a shape over it and slice it to remove the white around my design, but even if i design on photoshop and save as a png, it puts that white box around it and i can't get it off.

    • @AngieHolden

      First, make sure you have an Explore or Maker as your machine selection as Joy does not work with print then cut. Then make sure your maximum size is not more than 6.75x9.25 inches.

    Hi. I love your videos, they are so informative. I'm planning on making care bear t shirts for Halloween and am struggling with how to make them. I bought the svgs for the different bear characters. I plan on using the coordinating colored t shirts to go with the bear. Do I use HTV using the layering technique, or print and cut on printable vinyl or do I use a sublimation printer? I just bought an epson to convert but haven't started yet. It's all a little intimidating. I appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you in advance.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First, for sublimation you would need polyester shirts that are light colors. So I would say HTV would be best. I just use the complexity of the design to decide between layered and printable HTV.
