- Today’s video we are checking on how beef cattle are getting on, look at how calving is going. Getting the beet chopper out and in use and finish off with some footage of feeding the beef cattle.

For the cattle, they do look good. Though I think most of your pens have too many cattle in. The low ranking ones can’t find a feeding place.
I only put as many cattle in a pen as I have feeding places.
Nice mix on today’s video. Cattle look in great order, hopefully prices get a bump ahead of Easter.

Cattle are looking great Gerry . Hope your flu and colds are over you sometimes when you get a bad dose it knocks the sh1t out of your immune system no harm to get a tonic to boost you up I’ve been taking cod liver oil for the last ten years it’s a great job but it takes a while to get the benefit of it .
Sorry to hear you've had several bouts of winter sickness. As you get older, you need to prioritise your health. Get the annual flu vaccine if you don't already.
Vaccines are what make you sick,
The speed of the chop is incredible. Have you modified the mechanism, ours is slightly slow in comparison x
Gerry just get some cheep white vinegar of the internet, mix it with 3 parts water and spray it on the green moss, kills it a treat and won’t hurt the livestock if they get at it, that beat chopper works a treat, so fast with very little hp.

Just wondering how come you don't just put the beat into ur feeder mixer to get chopped up with the feed instead of getting it chopped up in de beat chopper
The feeder has full set of knives but would never chop beet enough for feeding unfortunately so hence why we have the chopper specifically for it

What feed are ye currently feeding the finishing cattle.
Wheat , barley , ground maize, beet, spuds, carrots, potatoes ale syrup, straw and silage
@@gerry6420 Is their a need for the carrots, potatoes and ale syrup. Would the wheat, barley, maize, beet, silage and straw be a sufficient feed for them and reduce costs also

You have a lot of bullocks in a pen, and they don't have much room to move around and know bedding
They have plenty of room, all can eat, all can lay at same time.Dont use bedding apart from calves and sucklers. Use slatted tanks in our sheds. Slatted vs bedding has pros and conns for both. I like slatted
Hey devon... mine have to take turns to eat, same with lying down. It's really cruel because iv some really lazy cows, and they don't get up in turn to let others get a chance to lie down, then they all collapse into a heap😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
