    Yeah!!
Recovering dairy-farmer here. 305 acres over half trees and side hills. poor grazing and plenty of need for winter feed doing cows in northern Pennsylvania USA. Great content. Thank you. Cows are getting top care. I like to eat cheap. Water water everywhere. The milk schedule is new to me. 2X, 3X but never every other. Nice. Cross breeds are my favorite on temperament alone.

Awesome setup. Great to see another Nz dairy farming channel on TH-cam. 2500 cows seems like so many, when I only milk 206😂. Great video

Just subscribed to your channel. Great to hear your comments about your staff. I admire a man who praises his best asset. Cows are looking awesome 👌. From the east of Ireland 🇮🇪.

Great Video, New Sub here, and an ex canterbury farmer, almost 30 years ago! a little bit of feedback your talking to camera is excellent, try and slow the turning as with a wide angle lens it can feel like the viewer is getting a dose of motion sickness! thanks for sharing

Thanks for subscribing to our farm channel! Lots more videos to come. It's amazing how different our New Zealand farming systems can be at opposite ends of the country hey.

The TH-cam algorithm has found you
I watch mostly 🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿dairy/beef/ sheep/agri farms as I connect more with supporting farms in my own country.
However I do watch farmers from across the 🌏
I support all farmers - NO FARMERS - NO FOOD
I am a carnivore as humans by nature are
Everyone has a choice of what they put in their body but we cannot go through life eating cheap food and plant based food
It’s probably quite costly to grow plant based by far
I know a friend who has been a vegan from when she was 14 - she is now 61
    She is always ill

Notice you are running a mix of Friesian & jersey cows

Yes that's right we have quite the mix at Single Tree but predominantly a kiwi cross herd aiming to achieve better productivity, fertility and longevity🐄

Just found your interesting dairy channel and am a new sub. Am wondering if the dark cows are Jersey cross or of the Australian Illawarra breed? Back in the day in your land herds were sometimes milked with a mobile unit that was taken to the pasture, are such dairies still in existence? Thanks for the interesting video! S. Carolina USA

Hey there, Welcome to the channel and thanks for subscribing! The cows at Single Tree dairies are the typical New Zealand kiwi cross. Jersey / Holstein Friesian cross. Launched in 2005 by Livestock improvement corporation and today the most popular breed of dairy cow in NZ.

Also most dairy farms in NZ are now equipped with the latest developing technology. But I'm sure there are still some old style mobile milking parlours in operation somewhere in NZ. It would certainly difficult to milk 2500 cows this way😅
