Hello, I took the ECPE exam on may 21th this year and this morning I received my ECPE Certificate and results, I want to thank you because your videos are great and helped me a lot. Keep up the great job¡¡
For anyone interested in taking the ECPE EXAM, I have just created a Facebook group called ECPE EXAM. From September I will be posting tips and resources on a regular basis, so please join if you are interested! Thank you!
Can I make a question? In part 2 where we do paraphrasing do we have to analyse the points? For example if it says that a school has a great experience do I have to tell why it is important and why it is an advantage or just paraphrase ? ❤
Good question!!!!! In stage two yo only have to summarize the information to your partner. So, you don't need to go into detail of why it's important, this is what you do in stage 3 after you have picked 2 of the options. So, in stage two just summarize the information using your own vocabulary and expressions as much as possible. As long as you do this in a clear way, so your partner can understand your points and options you will get high marks!!!!
Well generally make sure you do this- in stage 1 expand your answers in stage 2 summarize by using your own words in stage 3 work with your partner, and compare and contrast all points in stage 4 be as persuasive as possible and in stage 5 acknowledge what the examiner says and explain why it will not be a problem. Yes, definitely! Comparing the disadvantages is a must!!! Especially when one of the options has a major drawback. So, comparing the disadvantages is something you should definitely spend time doing!
To be honest, yeah it is! I have had many students achieve a PASS which is 750-830, but very few achieve above 840 for a HIGH PASS! I would just focus on doing your best, don't worry about the end result :))))
I'm currently working on some more videos focusing on this part, but they won't be ready until Friday :( However, we have just posted a stage 2 paraphrasing post on our Facebook page and there will be another one tomorrow! Enjoy!
