I would never leave. Kitchenette, quilt cabinet, design wall, cozy chair, big windows, long arm, lots of storage, room to move around! ❤❤ My family would never see me again. My favorite… I love the sewing nook.
You are so very lucky to have such a great space. I have a huge bedroom which I can store & sew in. I have a wall also & designed my own cutting table. So lovely to design it all yourself 💫
I am about to move into a one bedroom apartment. This really inspires me. I was down in the dumps because on my social security budget all I can afford is a one bedroom apartment. The bedroom is going to be pretty small. But the living/ dining area is decently sized. Seeing your sewing room, which is significantly larger makes me realize if I do it right, my multi media art area and quilting and sewing area are actually beautiful. I could shop local flea markets, thrift, and garage sales looking for cute furniture and storage type furniture to make it really cute. A dining table could double as a cutting table. But I have a huge Horn quilting and sewing cabinet. And it is open just about all the time because I use it every day. But if I quilt some cute covers for my serger and sewing machine instead of the plastic transparent ones that came with it, just making it into a cozy retreat area so to speak.
You did a beautiful job. I like you painted the kitchenette. The green is soothing. I’m like you, no favorite color, just depends how I’m feeling what I gravitate towards. I’m a color-combo girl. Drawn mostly to orange blue combo.
Finally! Someone who has a studio! I have one a little smaller that I'm designing. I love your groupings. I do similar categories. I really like your idea of hanging your batting on your longarm work structure, plus the lighting bar. So jealous. I think I'll try to hang my roll of architectural vellum like that. It would be so much handier to use and store. I'm glad I'm not the only one with multiple machines. I'm going to need to have a cabinet to store them to keep them dust free. I use a curio cabinet about the size of yours for fabrics to keep them dust free and visible. I have a huge armoire for supplies, fasteners, etc. There's a mini rolling cart of threads for my various machines. We keep my yarns in a tall cubby style shelving unit in the family room where I do my needle arts. Yarns are all color sorted and beautiful. I'm going to paint a mural on my studio wall of tropical plants. They inspire me and make me happy. I also want a sitting area for customers. Perhaps a pair of overstuffed chairs in pretty colors?
Fabulous sewing room! It is much larger than mine. I have to put my longarm machine in my family room. Love your organization and creating the cabinets. Thanks for sharing.
Love your craft room, I’m jealous! You have more counter space in your kitchenette than I have in my kitchen. I would love to have your cabinet maker recreate your sewing nook in Lu sewing room.
It’s been fun to visit a beautifully designed sewing studio that looks so loved and is a functioning workspace. You have done a lot in eighteen months.
Thank you so much! Yes I just stumbled across a video of when I first moved in and I have definitely filled it. The craft supplies just keep growing. :)
Love your design wall . I only wish for wall space that big. Your sewing nook is my favorite. The light from outdoors, the setup … Congratulations on your ideal studio.
Amazing job designing this room. I dream of a room like this. My space is small. How did you become an ambassador? How did you get started in the quilting industry? I'm so interested but unsure of the right place to start. Sorry for all the questions, just trying to collect information and so impressed with your journey, what I know of it. Thank you
Wow! You have designed a beautiful and functional space! I do not have near as much space but will incorporate some of your ideas into the good space that I do have. I’m curious, what is the length and width of your room, not including the window alcoves? Also, I’m a new subscriber as your video popped into my YT today!
Oh thank you so much! I think it is 16' x 30'. It was supposed to be more like 16'x24' but our architect said it could be bigger as everything else around it fit. Lol. So I wasn't going to say no. :)
You sewing room is magnificent! Thank you so much for the tour. How long is your quilting frame? I am hoping to get a long arm soon. I was thinking about getting the new Moxie. Are there advantages to the Grace machines compared to Handi Quilters?
Hi! It is an 8ft frame. But there are longer versions of the same one. I am not sure of Handi quilters as I have had Grace for over 4 years. I just liked the price point, the reviews of the company were/are excellent when I purchased and they are beginner friendly imo. I am more than happen to share more and I have discount affiliate codes fro grace on my site so definitely use those discounts if you go with Grace. woollypetals.com/shop/ they are at that link.
Hm... I should know this as My husband just calculated for tax purposes. I think it is around 400-500. He teases me that it's the largest room in the house.
I would never leave. Kitchenette, quilt cabinet, design wall, cozy chair, big windows, long arm, lots of storage, room to move around! ❤❤ My family would never see me again. My favorite… I love the sewing nook.
Lol! I hear you. It's hard to leave at the end of my work hours.
This is a most special place any Quilter or Crafter would enjoy immensely! Great design and comfortable to work and relax in. TYFS♥️🌲

What is the name of the green on your cabinetry? Love your studio!
Hi, I it is a Benjamin Moore Color called Basil. I have used it in multiple houses and it's a great color.
WOW!!
Everyday I think that.
How big is your room please?
I am pretty sure it is 16'x30'. Now that I am not deep in the building trenches I forget the dimensions exactly.
Now I want to see the rest of the house 😂
Right
Lol. I may share some here. But you can check out my Kristinrauchinteriors account on Instagram and see a bit of it.
How did you become an ambassador

Hm... I should know this as My husband just calculated for tax purposes. I think it is around 400-500. He teases me that it's the largest room in the house.
