I was trying to heat the gasket, but it didn't helped in my case. And I really see no difference in gasket even after long heating.
In your case, if heating the gasket did not help and you noticed no difference, it may indicate that the gasket is too degraded, made of a material that doesn't respond well to heat, or that the heating method used was insufficient. It's possible that the gasket needs to be replaced.
