    So far as the question of, is Venables ready to be a head coach? He worked and studied under three hall of fame coaches. He began his coaching carrier as a graduate assistant under Snyder in 1993 and was promoted to linebackers coach in 1996. He held that position until 1999 when he went to OU and coach under Stoops. While looking up exactly how long he had been DC at OU I saw that for the last 7 of the 12 years he coached under Stoops he was listed as (AHC/DC/LB). Then in 2012 when OU told him they were bringing back Mike Stoops to be Co-DC with him he took the job at Clemson under Swinney and build some of the best defenses in the game while OU's defense began it's slide into mediocrity. I would have to say that he should be about as well prepared to take the reins as one could be, at the job he always wanted and with a fan base that wants his style of football brought back to their school. He also has Bob Stoops right there in town to call on for advice and support.

    let me put it this way Ou with this defense is about to be unstoppable.. Ou hasnt had a good Dline in over a decade and thats about to change we got some DUDES on Dline and it will show this year.. the lack of Dline play made the corners look worse then they were.. the corners are ELITE this year and with new Dline getting sacks again Ou wont be giving up 21+ points per game this year and Ou ALWAYS averages 24+ points per game on offense.. Ou will shock the world this year i see Ou going 10-2 possibly 11-1!

    Sharp will be TE1. I also believe if they are going to have the best 5 OL on the field then Taylor will be LG and Brown RT.

    i disagree with most that SEC is that much of a step up from BIG 12.. i think yes the defenses are a step up in competition BUT i think big 12 offenses OVERALL are better than sec teams..

      almost agree but i see it as defense wins championships so i give the edge slightly to SEC but barely

    Another great vid, my Brother! You are one of the best! My beloved Sooners have the
    talent! Someone told me Phil Steele has OU at #7 in power rankings for talent!
    But rated several slots lower because of their schedule. Given fexas weak axx
    schedule, the preseason win total would have been much higher! Lets see what fexas
    would have with this year with bamo, Lsu, Ol Miss on their schedule! Regardless, keep
    up the good work Hombre!

      agree JA wouldve got smoked a few times in the spring game if ppl paid attention.. especially one time JA was holding the ball and wouldve got blind sided by Ethan Downs and i mean he wouldve got buried!

      @@OkieTradez Spring games are incredibly hard to judge because there's so much restriction. IMO the best takeaway from spring games is QB receiver connection.

    You can nullify the big 12 years, child's play, refs game. Real football begins at sec. It's the year one.

    • @OkieTradez
      @OkieTradez 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      agree refs are trash in big12 but mainly gave Ou too many hold calls that were bs.. lets see if those hold calls go down in sec.. if they do sec should be concerned!

    Stutsman missed 1.5 game with injury or he'd have eclipsed last years production with ease.👍
