Loved B J s music since I was a teen. Years ago. Good to still see him performing! Prayers for his wife Gloria for recent surgery. I relate. Had open heart
In 2018. Wish her great recovery !

I grew up in Houston...circa 60's as a teen. First heard him in '67.. I saw him play very early-on at Taylor Hall on S. Richey in Pasadena. They let me in with a 'no-beer pass' as I was 18...and Texas law was 21. I love your music. The Burt Bacharach/Hal David medleys are precious and golden. Love R&B and you would be good at it....just make your voice the 'lead'

I love your interviews. I've watched a few of them thus far. Farewell, BJ. Even in his late seventies he looked fantastic. He could've passed for someone at least twenty years younger than he was. I'm glad he was able to do this with you.

Great interview Tom. BJ's stature grows when I hear him interviewed. He's incredibly grounded; knows what he has done but isn't full of himself. You do a very nice job of allowing your listeners to get a sense of the man. Thanks! 🥇

Thanks Tom, all things considered, a wonderful interview. BJ, always smiling, looking on the bright side of things. And I noticed ha was concerned about you and GB IN GENERAL.

I grew up with BJ in the Rosenberg-Richmond Texas area. Went to the same High School (Lamar Consolidated) and would see him around town with his brother Jerry. Absolutely love his voice. First heard him in the school choir and his first local hit was "Lazy Man".

Hi Efrain, Can you please tell us what B.J.'s brother Jerry was like and what happened to him? Thanks

@@regknit I really don't know. Last I heard of Jerry, he had a falling out with BJ due to his drug dependentcy.

@@efrainvillagomez3332 Thanks for your time to speak about Jerry. That was interesting and glad that you had seen both of them at that time.

BJ...When was the last time you hooked-up with Michael Berry/KTRH for a live radio interview. You have lots of fans in Houston...You two could blow it out in the AM or PM hour. Keep on Singing!!!
