When they all say “I’m going to get it all nice and coated” and then they put the smallest amount on. Literally every bleach video ever. You needed at least 3 kits to bleach your whole head. It is far better to get good quality stuff and in bulk so you can mix as much as you need. The blondeme range is really good.
Samantha Parrish we all make the same mistake. I did it once myself when I was 17 and I didn’t do it again until 10 years later when I was stuck in quarantine. The first bleach I didn’t have enough and stupidly thought “well I’ll make a start and then fix it when the rest comes”... thankfully the bleach didn’t really do much as I didn’t leave it in long enough and as I have blonde hair to start with it wasn’t horrible. When my big batch of bleach powder and developer came I mixed up loads and saturated everything. I did my roots first as they were virgin hair and then added some shampoo to the rest of my bleach to bleach bath my already lightened lengths. It came out so even that I was shocked haha.
I think you deserve more than a 5 out of ten it looks great on you even with the little splotches here and there it all pulls together nicely. Good job girl!
Honestly, I think a bleach wash on the darker sections might even out your hair and fix the situation. I bleached my own hair in the summer last year and I did a bleach wash with 30v/20v and shampoo
Alyssa K. I’m a hairstylist and even recommended a bleach wash in a comment lol her hair doesn’t need much more lifting and it’ll be easier to saturate her hair and be less damaging but splotchiness is hard to fix on your own but it would help trick the eye a bit more
Totally laughing with you! I just did mine in a quarantine crisis too, and I wish it had turned out half as well as yours did! It looks like you evened out a lot of the splotchy and gave your hair "dimension" instead, with the different shades. Great save, in my also-a-beginner opinion! It really does look pretty.
TheIrishlioness haha thank you!! I ended up doing a bleach bath and it honestly really helped my hairs suuuper blonde now. Definitely not perfect but for a quarantine crisis i cant complain haha!
Girlfriend, professional stylist here enjoying this clip. I'm still at the beginning but I have a few things to say 😂😂🤭 1. 40 volume is rarely touched. You have light enough hair to get away with 20 or 30 and having it process longer. Keeping you hair less damaged 😂 2. You can send fake a root smudge if you lift perfectly and use a variety of developer levels 3. If you are more yellow, milkshakes silver shampoo is the best toning shampoo out there. 4. If you are more copper/orange/looking like a #2 pencil, try matrix's blue depositing shampoo Purple cancels pure yellow to pale yellow Blue cancels out orange to yellow orange I'm going back to watching now. I'll add tips in here as I watch for you guys. Edit #1 As annoying as it is. Small inch thick sections are easiest to work with, even half inch. While applying bleach. Literally slop it on so heavy. You shouldn't see brown. While the bleach is wet and being applied you can use the wide side of a comb to comb through it to reveal any missed spots to put more bleach on. (only one pass with the comb) Using a brush will make an easier and even application. If you are toning. Yellow needs a violet then ash If you are orange. You need blue/ash then violet. When you were combing your hair, start from the bottom and work your way up. Why some of your hair was white than others is, that area had a heavier amount of saturation of bleach and more heat, causing it to lift MORE = yellow
I was a little worried, but you pulled it off! It looks good! If you do bleach again, a little pointer, if you have sections that are processed to the point you want, but aren’t ready to wash your whole head yet, you can spritz the “done” parts with leave-in conditioner to stop the lifting process
Carissa Smith omg THANK YOU!!! I am definitely trying this next time i touch up because that was literally the hardest part and i have so many spots that are developed and others that arent as blonde as i would like. Definitely giving that a try!
Leave in conditioner! What lol to stop the lifting process you want the bleach to dry. You want to deactivate the peroxide. You may just as well wash it rinse after squeezing out the excess product. Idk what leave in conditioner you have but it very well may not be a common product everyone owns.
JKB do super thin sections and make sure you use more bleach that i did because thats where i honestly when wrong 😂 but good luck im sure it will go great!!!
You were off to a good start. The foils and sectioning were great! You just needed to apply more even bleach and do the roots at the last 5ish minutes.
Haha hair lightens faster at the roots because there’s heat from your head ❤️ it’s really hard to do your own hair tbh. I’m a hairdresser and I don’t trust myself to bleach my own hair so I get my coworkers to do it. Honestly I’m impressed at your end result. Happy for you ❤️
Not bad! U either need to redo all but the roots or maybe do a root shadow with a demi but go to a salon for that lol! But not bad at the end. U look great as a blonde!
I think you should even just try a bleach wash but avoid the light part on the top it will be less damaging and you don’t have to lift your hair much more the splotchiness will be too hard to fix without professional help
Well done this was funny😊i did the same this year from black and its not easy.If you dye it blonde colours and keep cutting ends you will fix it with 3/ 4 months if you wanna keep it but it suits u looks good now already 😊🎉
It’s so much easier for me to bleach the entire head and then add the root smudge after with a demi permanent colour ! Just on myself. It’s so much easier
You look a little like Mischa Barton 😍 Love the color you got at the end ! I wish we had these wella toner in Europe 😭😭 They look so easy to use and they give beautiful tones
Manic Panic bleach kit is junk I would use loreal quick blue. I have bleached my own hair for years and always use quick blue because it cancels out orange tones. You did a good job though considering it is your first time!
Whoaaaaa you should’ve applied a bit of heat to the foils at the ends of your hair and perhaps sectioned your hair of with clips not ties! You could try spot bleaching with a bleach wash and a protein filler added in- your hair shrinks when moistened so you needed very thin sections. Don’t panic but luckily you can still treat it lol it is particularly splotchy but ! You seem to be willing to take on some damage so always opt in for a weak developer and incubate with a cap or if you do use foils again try applying some heat next time without drying out your roots.
please please please have someone else fix it. bleach the ends and use a purple toner at the ends if they’re still darker then work up.always bleach darker spots first. if you’re going to fix it at home i mean. if not you can research which blonde dye to get and it will make the platinum color even to the bottom. the issue is..the level has to be the same or darker than the ends. good luck
I ended up doing a bleach bath to even it out and more toner to get rid of the yellow tones! I think it looks much better now im posting another update video soon
19:17 denial in its highest form 😅💔 you really need a Brad Mondo intervention 🙏🏻 Don’t get me wrong.. I think you are really beautiful and fun and your curls look pretty 🤍 .. but girl that’s really patchy 🙈 there‘s at least 4 different colors in your hair , it should be darker at the roots, lighter at the ends👌🏻 Thank you for the fun video 💕
Nãdâ Głåmbęrt it is really bad i have like a reverse ombre going on and not the cute kind 🙈 but im hoping to go get it professionally done after quarantine... my poor hair dresser 🤣
Professionals hardly use 40 vol with lightener. That should tell you something. Your hair is light enough for 20 vol. Small sections in foils. One lift. That's how we do it. 40 vol is hardly ever used. It's more for highlift blonde color
Hello, Great video! Question, Can I put this video in one of my compilations? I reach many viewers and I put the name of the creators in the video and in the description so they can find your channel. Hate commons and hate are not allowed. Let me now? stay safe 🙏
Amber Staufenberger at the time i think it was like a wella platinum toner but if you are that super bright like very yellow tone but not a lot of orange i would do t18. Ive been using it for months now and t18 keeps me really blonde
I think we need to get some kind of government program for all these ppl who damage there hair during corona lol we need to blame it on corona lol but to be honest it dosent look that bad u very pretty u can pull it off don’t feel bad
seriously? in the current age when there is a million hair bleaching videos out there on youtube, not to watch any??? there is even professional hairdressers telling you how to do everything..... this is just not funny...

Little mistakes aside, the blonde suits you so well! Even the yellow tone looked really good on you!
For your first time, you did great! Nothing a little bleach bath and a shadow root can't fix. Good job boo 👏👏💜💜
I laughed so much when you showed the back of your head 😂 but in the end it's not sooo bad, blonde really suits you ! 😊
Janie Langlois-Brunet thank you!! Hahaha i expected it to be bad but when it was that bad i was FREAKING out 🤣
I think you deserve more than a 5 out of ten it looks great on you even with the little splotches here and there it all pulls together nicely. Good job girl!

I’m subscribing. Not for the video, but your spirit and personality. It’s so refreshing! Keep the videos coming!
LOL I was laughing and crying with you the whole time 😂 I think you did a good job fixing it tho, I doesnt look bad at all!
Annette's Makeup Corner hahaha thank you it started out rough i was so worried i wouldnt be able to fix it 😂
I honestly didn't think you could salvage a decent look from those applications 😆😆 but you did and I think it looks lovely.
Hahaha thank you, i was rlly crying on the inside it was rough :,)
@@samanthaparrish9880 Awww 😂.
Girrrrl you look absolutely amazing!!! Your hair is beautiful!! You stressed me so much lmao but it turned out to be great. I’m happy for you
laurilogioia aww thank you!! I was stressing so hard I literally had no clue what i was doing but i really like the blonde!
I think you did an awesome job! It's not even bad, I like it a lot😊
I LOVED THE FINAL RESULT! YOU LOOK BETTER WITH BLONDE HAIR! 👏
The blonde is so cute on you! I love the way it turned out. Not going to lie, at first I was terrified lol

this is risky lol bleach is very strong. keep a close eye if you do try this
Awe, bless you!!! Not a bad job tbh! You're so sweet 😊
It looks ok and your hair still looks in really good condition! Well done 👏🏻👏🏻
girl!!! that worked out and it actually suits you so much!!!
thank you!!
Also, you have some level 7s in there. Orange tone lives in a level 7
It looks great that toner really helped. About to bleach my hair too and hope it comes out good. Just watching a bunch of bleach videos first 😂

You can dilute 40 vol developer by adding water. Use 3 parts developer and one part water and you receive 30 vol. developer.
I think you should even just try a bleach wash but avoid the light part on the top it will be less damaging and you don’t have to lift your hair much more the splotchiness will be too hard to fix without professional help
Michaela, hi, what's a bleach wash? If you don't mind 😊.
New subscriber I totally adore you and you're braver than me I love your hair honestly it looks great I think blonde looks good on you 👍☺️

I think it looks good-it’s like u have highlights and some low lights which give it dimension:). 💗❤️
It's not 100% perfect, but what blonde shade is honestly. It looks REALLY good! You did a great job!
Also.. you look STUNNING as a blonde 😍😍
If you can still see the hair its not saturated
it was NOT ENOUGH at alllll hahaha

You bleach it to what level? Does the colour fade fast after?
You sounded like you were on the verge of tears the entire time 😭😭
I love the results

Hahahaha of course! Its all for laughs so share away
you look so much better blond
Thank you!
I love how you apologised to Brad
You got lucky on the toner. That's the only one with blue and purple pigments. Blue gets rid of orange and purple gets rid of yellow.
Dilute 40volume with water or conditioner. 1:0.75 ratio will bring it down to 30volume.
What toner did you use?
Amber Staufenberger at the time i think it was like a wella platinum toner but if you are that super bright like very yellow tone but not a lot of orange i would do t18. Ive been using it for months now and t18 keeps me really blonde

candi 1152 thank you! I just graduated highschool :)
The first “at home” bleach job NEVER goes well, especially if you have long hair and no one to help you. It’s a process.
For future reference HAIR DOESN’T BREATH 😩this is how I make lots of money , fixing all of the mess ups people make then have to come to the salon 🤔
😢 I hated that you started to cry. I've seen and done worse 😂 it will be okay,.
You literally only need 20 volume max with olaplex
I might shoot a reaction video to this

Ok but blonde is so your color !!
Midnight Peonies thank you!
I feel like blonde is definitely your colour!!!
You did NOT saturate your hair at all .. it needs to look white with bleach
Your pretty face saved it
The messiness off the application is killing me. Cleaner parted smaller sections would have been such an easy focus to help the process
Hello Samantha 👋we share the same name 😆😝
Feels pretty saturated. Put literally no bleach on lol
Okay okay this videos is the only bleach video I ever watched that made me mad lol... stop combing ur wet hair ! Be gentle with her :(
