I shaved my head just before thanksgiving in 2021 and it was AWESOME, my hair also grows fast and honestly the grow out period wasn't too bad! You just gotta do your best to style it, and getting the sides trimmed up around month 3 really helps. I got trimmed around month 3 and then not again until around month 7.
I think part of the problem is you left out too much root. That’s what caused those really dark spots about an inch off your scalp. The heat from your head only effects about 1 cm of hair. Generally, it’s best to leave the roots for a separate application. Get the ends to the right color and then go back to the roots.
I shaved my hair 2 years ago, kept a pixie for a while, and then grew it out and now its just past my shoulders and I would reccomend it to anyone it was amazing and I genuinely loved every stage of the grow out process!

Normally a person would start with the lengths when bleaching. In this case however, your ends are prelightened. You have about 3 inches or less of grow out that is dark. You should have done those first, leaving a couple cm of root undone. Your sections are also much too thick. Lastly, your mids and ends had residual color still, and you should have used a remover first on those bits, followed by either a bleach bath or a low 10 v developer, and been careful not to overlap. Your saturation was great tho! Btw, you should never pile or bundle your hair when bleaching. The product needs to "breathe" and vent that heat it creates. Otherwise you will get hot spots and places where the product gets removed and stays dark. Youre gorgeous as a buzz queen tho!
Just for future reference, you ended up with brown spots because the chunks of hair you used were too big - even though they looked fully saturated, that’s just the outside of the chunk. If you were to open up those chunks of hair and look inside, those hairs are still untouched by the bleach. That’s why it’s helpful to use really small sections to make sure all of the hair is covered. But the final result looks great!

i shaved my head for the first time ever exactly two years ago next month, and after 2 years of hair growth, i shaved it again last weekend :) (kept it about one inch instead of half an inch this time) it’s soooo fun for someone like me who likes to change up my hair all the time because it’s a new length and style every month! you look stunning, so i’m sure you’ll love the growing out process. my hair was just touching my shoulders by the end of the first 12 months, so it looked like a really pretty layered cut. also hilarious how chill you were about shaving it all off. i was the exact same way! although i remember waking up the next morning shook as hell that i actually did it but the second time i shaved it, i woke up just as happy as the night before. since i lived with no hair for months before so it was just a continuation! wigs are also extremely fun to play with so… you’ll have a grand time if you’re into that!
I studied brad mondos videos and I bleached my hair 4 Times last year and I worked with olaplex and only 20%. I think your hair fell out because the ends were already very light. The shortcut looks soooo good on you! You have such a beautiful face and eyes! You look soooo good! Your hair will be so beautiful when it grows out.
Looks great! As a hairdresser I will tell you that bleaching a whole head of hair is difficult. Your main issue was that the bleach was too thick and didn’t saturate the hair well enough. You look so good with a shaved head though!
