I can't tell you how much these left hand tutorials have meant to me. I've been crashing nearly my entire life, beading, weaving, etc., but the major crochet projects always eluded me because no one could ever properly shore me, a lefty, just how to do the stitches. These videos have opened a new world of crafty fun and the ability to make wonderful things for my grandchildren, family and friends. THANK YOU!!!
I have to say a thousand thank you's to you! I've never beeen able to do a magic ring! I can do extremely challenging patterns, this absolutely eluded me! Ever since i taught myself to crochet, at 17, I've learned everything right handed, because they didn't make left handed patterns, in the 70's, I guess because southpaws were sub humans. Lol! You, after watching at least a dozen tutorials & was ready to chuck the tablet across the room. Then, after I came to bed, I thought I'd try one more time. And, there YOU were! Your only thing I wished for, is raise your voice a bit. Other than that, I learned how to do a magic ring tonight! Your turorial is a God send. You have no idea! Thank You! A million times, Thank You! God Bless You & Your Family, Always...
I have watched so many left-handed magic ring circle videos and this is the only one that has explained it the correct way to a beginner compared to all the others. Thank you!
I literally went through like 5 tutorials and it didn’t work. The first time I did this tutorial and it worked. I tried it 5 times and it worked every time. Thanks a million your an amazing teacher.
I've been practicing all day and I've finally got it. It will make so much difference to my work as I mainly do toys for my 7week old granddaughter. I'm a 63 yr old man and wanted to do something totally different for her arrival, so I learnt how to crochet from all the great tutorials on here, and made her two lovely blankets, beanies, mittens and now toys. I REALLY appreciate all the work that people like you put into these tutorials. Thank you.
Oh man. Thank you so much for this! I have struggled for YEARS, trying to understand the circle. Being left handed, and learning from right handers, has its limitations. This was awesome!
The left handed tutorial was a life saver people don’t understand just how backwards everything other tutorials look to a left handed person. Thank you so much ❤❤❤
I just started a pattern calling for an adjustable ring. I watched numerous videos done by right handed people but just could not get it right. After watching your video once I was able to follow along, pausing and rewinding a few times as needed and I am happy to say completed my very first magic circle!! Thank you for your left handed videos! They truly mean the world to me!
I never realised how different is it just to try it in my dominant hand, I’ve been trying to do it in my right coz lots of the videos are right handed. I just couldn’t do the magic circle like that though and this is so much better! Going to look up more left handed Tutorials from now on
At long last I have finally learnt to do the magic ring looking at your left handed video. I cant tell you how often my wool and hook went flying across the room!
Ok. Seriously. Thank you so so much. I have been trying to to a magic loop/ring since like September/October, so like 4 or 5 months. I was never able to get it cause I couldn’t tell what they were doing, or the pictures didn’t show it well, or they went to fast, or they didn’t really explain it. BUT I JUST DID IT FINALLY!!! And I think watching someone do it left handed helped ALOT. So thank you so so much
Thank you so very much!! I like many in the comments are so very grateful for the tutorial. I adore crochet and I have been trying to learn more complicated projects. :) Thank you!
I still haven't got the hang of it! I ended up in such a tangle. I guess I will have to just make a circle with chains, join the end with a slip stitch and work over the tail as I have alwaysdone. I'm disapponted as was hoping to find an easier and more effective way but thanks for trying to gain entry into my very, very left handed brain! Crochet has been one of the many bains of my life!
Watched this as a refresher on how to do the magic circle, and found it much more clear and logical compared to how I was doing it before! Love how this version lets you weave the tail in too - much more tidy! For those who were finding it goes too fast, I watched it through a couple of times, then had a few goes following the video, pausing it at each stage to allow me to try it slowly. I've saved the video to my faves in case I have another brain fog in future - thank you for your help!
I tried many different tutorials, and almost decided to just not learn crocheting after all, I watched this tutorial and I instantly knew what was going on, thank you so much for the help!
Thank you very much for this tutorial. Now I can help my little lefted handed grand daughter in learning the magic circle. She was asking me to teach her; however, I couldn't because I was right handed. I will have her watch your tutorial along with me so I can help her. But this video was so clear to understand. Thank you once again!
THANK YOU!!!!!!! I’m the left sided mirror twin, so I was near tears by how confusing the right handed tutorials were for my swapped brain. This makes 10x more sense!!!!!L
I have been trying to do a magic circle for a couple years now, and I haven't been successful with any of the tutorials I've watched. Until using your video today. The tip you gave about keeping the tail on the same side as the working yarn was the game-changer. Thank you so much!
This has been a life saver! I am left handed and can follow along with other stitches okay (I do crochet a bit funny as I cannot pull the needle through as of yet as i am still quite new to it and feels funny as i'm left handed) but i've been watching magic circle videos for blimmin aaaaages and i just couldn't do it until i found your video, so THANK YOU IMMENSELY!
You are amazing! Love your videos and the fact they are for us Left handed folks how struggle looking at patterns with pictures because they are all backwards. Thanks again!
Thank you so much! I am 60 years old and despaired of ever being able to enjoy more than loom knitting! Your simple easy to follow directions have allowed me to crochet! I have accomplished much in my life but finishing my first dishrag using left over yarn was thrilling!! Jacquie, lefty all the way!!
Thank you!!! I was working on amigurumi as a gift and didn’t know what the “magic ring” meant, but kept ending up with those openings/holes where I knew there shouldn’t be any! I Googled magic ring and found your video for lefties!!!! I’m going to redo the “ears” properly now!!!
I spent the last three days trying to get this right for a matching hat and blanket for my nephew. Being left handed everything looks wrong so this was very helpful
I appreciate your taking the time to post this tutorial, but it went way too fast, especially at 1:55. I watched that part 5 or 6 times and I have no idea how to do this.
THANKS YOU SO SO SO MUCH!!!! I haven't been able to figure this out and I watched numerous video tutorials and written instructions and still hadn't figured it out until now that is. Yay! Now I can do, thanks to you. You're amazing! ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺
Thank you so much! I have struggled with the magic circle for almost a year and you showed me how simple it is! Being left handed, this was so useful for me!
THANK YOU!! I have been looking for videos like these! I used to do this then i stopped for years and now I wanted to learn it again but since I'm left handed it was so hard for me to learn it again and i was about to quit but then i saw your video and i was so happy! I'm subscribing 😄
Ive been crocheting for a while now and i kept having so much trouble with the magic circle ... I usually can follow rightys but i could never learn this ... Thank you so much I literally made 10 of these 😂 this lefty can finally do it woohoo! Haha
THANK YOU! I tried to learn this thing from other videos with no results and started to feel hopeless, but finally, FINALLY I managed to do it correctly. I don't usually mind being a lefty but in crocheing it's such a pain bc nobody knows how to teach me 🙈
I had to watch and start at the beginning a few times then I finally got it. I ended up watching this after doing another circle with too big a hole. Thanks so much for this one
Thank you so much ive been trying for like 20 min. Lol. Usually i can flip things around in my mind to make it work since im used to doing it that way for everything else but this just kept becoming a knot lol.
I can't tell you how much these left hand tutorials have meant to me. The left handed tutorial was a life saver people don’t understand just how backwards everything other tutorials look to a left handed person. Thank you so much ❤❤❤
You're welcome and thank you for letting me know that these tutorials are really working!!
