Well, even though they didn't do a proper job explaining it, HR is, infact a tough job if you want to do it right. Many companies lack productivity because the HR department isn't that well. Look at most people in top B schools, they want to join specific companies, why? Because they know they'll have a great life there. That's because that company has a great HR department efficient enough to keep a good quality life for its employees. They want companies where they can grow, they can interact with others, where the company just doesn't extracts out of them, but also gives them a life worth living. That's all HR.
