    I think you should let the kid help it would be very enjoyable. That's what I used to do now we rebuild engines together.

    nice video. Ive got a 15 SGS also denim black with the med red pinstripe. are those slip ons made for the m8 motor and adapted to yours or they mount right up?

    • @boldfieldbbbbbb
      @boldfieldbbbbbb  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They mount right up. But yes they were made for the m8

      Rinehart has MotoPro45 Slip ons for Twin cam models and M8 models, but the DBX baffles will work in both. Just need to order the right Slip ons to begin with

      after removing the catalytic converter my 3.5 Rineharts hit like a drunk stepdad and it's much cheaper than a headpipe. the headpipe will accomodate wideband O2 sensors for more fine tuning but for the budget minded I'm super happy

    What model of Rinehart slip on pipes are those? And are they 4 1/2”

  • @Fatboy-Rob
    @Fatboy-Rob 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did the kit come with a new retaining plate to secure the new DBX baffle? I pulled my factory RH baffle out today. The retaining plate with 3 bolts in the video is tack welded around the baffle pipe on mine? Looks like it was done at the factory this way. IDK..

    • @boldfieldbbbbbb
      @boldfieldbbbbbb  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They shouldn’t be Tac welded. The kit doesn’t come with extra.

    • @boldfieldbbbbbb
      @boldfieldbbbbbb  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine were separate and they should be. Strange.

    • @shawnwright9187
      @shawnwright9187 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the first versions of these were tac welded but then they switched to a floating ring. Probably just call Rinehart and they can send you the rings

    Great video. Just got mine. Did you have any issues getting off your end caps? Removed the 2 screws and mine won’t budge.

    • @gregboutwell
      @gregboutwell 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm taking mine out right now. Soon as I got the two screws out mine would not budge either. I took the bag off so I could get directly over it and put my leg against the pip e and bumped the cap with my hand a few times on both sides and then I was able to twist it a little bit at a time and work it off. Reason I started watching a video is because when my baffle gets almost all the way out it's hanging up on something and won't come the rest of the way out and I can't see in there good enough.

    • @brians1524
      @brians1524 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gregboutwell thanks man. I did. Get mine off. I tried tapping with a rubber mallet but nothing. I ended up grabbing the end cap with both hands and rotating back and forth. There was high temp silicon holding them in. I ended up putting silicon back on after baffle replacement just for the hell of it. Sounds great now. New DBX baffles and new end caps.

    Hey there! I have the 2018 107 cubic inch Road Glide... Same exhaust as yours. What did the high performance baffles do for you? Any louder or deeper? My bike has the stage 1 on it and I'm afraid it could mess up back pressure if I remove or modify the baffles, your thoughts and input would be greatly appreciated sir.

    • @brodyoldfield7566
      @brodyoldfield7566 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely louder and whenever you let your engine breath better it will run cooler.

    • @brodyoldfield7566

    • @scotty2221
      @scotty2221 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@garylaurendeau628 I bought the high performance baffles and they sounded really deep and amazing. Always run baffles or it can hurt the motor with not enough back pressure.

      Well I guess I missed that but had no directions. I bought straight from rhinehart when they were in town and just went for it. That being said I’m not going to seal them. I have no rattle or effects from them.

    I gave you a thumbs down due to not knowing how to make a good video. ALWAYS ALWAYS RECORD IN LANDSCAPE MODE! How hard is it to turn your phone so you get a widescreen view? 👎🏻
