lots of negative traits that combo well with positive traits. prone to illness is mostly cancelled out by outdoorsman, giving a +2 net gain. thin skinned is only risky early on, and can be mitigated with sewer, using very common denim or the more rare, but better leather for a net gain of +4. over/underweight and fit trait gets a +1 to fitness for 0, and over/under can be lost once your weight is between 75-85, losing the secondary drawbacks. over weight being good, for games with low food, so you can starve for a literal week, (losing at most 1 unit of weight/day, or gain 2 per day by eating all the ice cream, canned cornbeef, and chips you can get your grubby little hands on) hard of hearing, is free points, just turn up the game volume. the zombies still come within "visual range" at the same distance from behind, it just gives you a smaller circle where you see "the world" behind you; the zombie still appears the same tile distance, just has more "shadow fog" behind you. agoraphobic and adrenaline junkie, gives you a free speed boost when outside, for walking/sprinting/running because you always panic for a -4 total, but making it much easier to escape a hoard without burning extra calories by running. over time this panick generates slower, and failing that, beta blockers are fairly common on corpses. fear of blood, is basically free points, in solo play, and if oyu have to change bandages without panicking mid fight, pop a beta blocker. high thirst, is not an issue, carry 2 water bottles instead of 1, once water shuts off. pacifist is mostly negated by taking fast learner, with a bonus xp gain to all the other non combat skills at no additional cost, your xp gains with combat skills will be 97-98% of the normal 100% this way. short sighted? free points just wear glasses. weak stomach isnt even that bad, with uncooked meat once you have antibiotics from a doctor's office. dont bother with eagle eyed. its kinda useless for a positive trait. only slightly larger field of view, and nothing at night. cats eyes is way better. can see in the dark, your field of view remains larger compared to normal/eagle eyes during night time, and improves foraging both during day and night. (and foraging in combat stance, will improve your searching even more, while also leveling the nimble skill) slow reader is considered free points, if oyu dont care about optimizing your skill books with life and living tv, cus oyu can fast forward time. if oyu care about optimizing your reading for life and living just give yourself 1.5 hrs before the show to grind the book, uninterupted, with out fast reader, and 1 hr with fast reader. (not worth it) some consider disorganized free points. ( i dont when it hurts your bag capacity to be only 70% of the max) but if you travel light, have low loot settings, or just have LOTS of base storage and a big ass truck with a trailer, its more than manageable. Car seats say they only hold 20 units, but can hold larger weight items like generators, those big water cooler things, antique wood stove, and fridges which weight 30-40 units, IF nothing else is occupying the seat. making those 6 seat "free candy" vans optimal for hauling several heaving items while leaving the back trunk and glove box for smaller loot, letting you squeeze alot more than the maximum weight. (works with ANY open car seat though, not just vans) Thats my ted talk: (this is TL:DR so congrats if you made it this far.)
I call BS with him missing with the Shotgun. Unless you are actively moving constantly while firing, and even then, you'll hit one of the group... Shotguns are the way to get level 2 aiming, which then most guns become fairly usable.
what took me a couple of hours is learning how to get a small flock to follow you, all on one side, then walk, right click turn backwards and hit them, turn and walk normal... learning to let go of the right mouse button seems to be the hardest... what, are you crazy, turn my back on them? but once you get that trick right... you basically conga them to oblivion... and of course also the situational awareness, don't go backwards too far, avoid drawing in more zombies, that's also something that takes practice... and when you see the 'drowsy' moodle it's time to call it a day.
Every asks how can you miss with a shot gun in this game. To that a reply "you know that first time you played. You panicked and tried to hit 1 instead you hit Q. Yeah your character can paniced too.". Ever shot a gun while moving? Yeah only shooting I've done is standing in one spot. Ever shot a shotgun? I have and i will tell you the first time you do you're going to remember it an so will your shoulder. This is why you're level 1 you just don't know yet. On most things or everything depending on what you profession is. Maybe it is how you are or how you grew up. Me I got a few combat skills. After the tutorial I knew these Developers was sadistic. Yet they didn't want to be completely evil. Just enough for you to have a learning curve. Yet we been growing up with games that play like games as if things are common sense. When in reality seeing is knowing. However someone might be ignorant enough to break glass and just hop in barehanded. You first death might be for a few reasons. Yet if you die a dumb way. You just learned what is common sense in games isn't reality or at the very least those games aren't this one. You got something to learn and actually use your comment sense before just running around like real life and got a stamina bar to make you realize you're tired. This one doesn't it's call the lungs moodle. Sure you can keep running some. Yet you ever get so warm out you feel like laying down. Yeah its like working out fatigue. It makes you a zombie snack.
if you are using guns pls dont move while aiming, stop and wait until the outline is lime green, oanic will also mess up your aiming so chug some booze or some meds and you are gtg
The problem you had with aiming is you have way more accuracy if you stand still while shooting you missed all those shots becuse you where moving alot while shooting
So true, I thought about making a video on those triple a games that are pretty much movies because all they have going for them are good graphics but no actual gameplay.
There's not many triple a zombie games compared to fantasy and sci fi genres, the only massive amount of zombies games are really bad cash grabs no ones ever heard of littered on steam and ios like that one you cherry picked at the start.
The last of us is the most unrealistic game out of all the zombie games with its awful ai partners. Lol and limited interactions with zombies and humans.
Keep it up dude. Great videos.
Ayo, first time didn't notice it's TH-cam's random recommend. nice video, feel very professional.
I'm surprised you don't have at least 1k subs yet. This is quality content man, you'll get there very soon!
Just a freaking good video man keep it up!
underrated channel
Not really, the video is great and all, it's great content, but it is cringe hearing a squeaker all the time.

missing with the shotgun is impressive, not gonna lie.
Even more when you miss a blob😂

it was on him he was moving. you can easily hit shots with a shotgun on aiming 0
@@Anschlagen we were moving while shooting and had like 10 shots each but we fired while they were far away because we're stupid.

I can say I that I was here before you got famous… 👌🏻

great video bro
I'm surprised you didn't mention the 4 choices when creating a new game (Apocalypse, Survivor, Builder, and Custom Sandbox).
I mentioned survivor mode briefly but you're right. Looking back there's so much more I could've touched on
My biggest regret when it comes to this game is, I wish I woulda got the game far sooner than I did. 10/10
Project Zomboid is heavily inspired by CDDA, which is the concept of no graphics all gameplay taken to the extreme. I suggest looking into it
Well when Build 42 will come out that will be so much more !!!

We didn't know what the outlines around the zombies meant and we shot at them while the outline was red
epic
Not enough footage of sotf to make a video 1tb MAY suffice
Yeah I noticed that while editing
Mmm engagement
That yummy yummy engagement that I so desperately need
Playing against random zombies on normal pop is stressful sometimes, but fun.

Thx for the tip, at the time of recording me and my friend were new to the game so we didn't know that.
I've been playing this game wrong! I run everywhere and use shotguns D=

Realism-ish. You can get the flu from being cold in PZ which is not possible IRL. If they removed that, then yes.
Sorry, but I checked and it's possible to get sick from being cold.
outdoorsman
Shitty looking simulators are very common. Just look at NASA and you'll know what I mean.
PLEASE DONT PICK SUNDAY DRIVER ITS SO NOT WORTH THE +1 POSITIVE TRAIT (speed demon also sucks)
these graphics are sick. im not interested in movielike "games" from sony
