Nice video! This is a very important topic. I think every writer of a book/manga/movie/TV show needs to see this. The use of color provides a very effective storytelling aspect that helps people understand the weight of the situation that the characters are in.
Holy Shit! You've done earned yourself a subscriber. Very nice editing and truly my favorite new anime. After watching the first episode when it came out I rushed to read the manga, I felt a joy and giddiness I hadn't felt since reading One Piece. I'm so glad I found this series, something to last for years to come and it will keep delivering if the manga is anything to go on. Great video and great series, I hope you keep doing little analysis videos from popular anime/cartoons/movies.
The series has gotten worse and better at the same time as it's been going on. The story needs to go somewhere obviously, but sometimes it just gets insanely boring even if it's important. It's losing what was amazing for the show.
Episode 2 got me hooked. Season 1 got me hooked.
Season 2 second half made me lose intrest a bit..
Season 3 was good.. second half.. was getting boring again..
Season 4.... first half.. was bad.. and boring.
season 4 second half.. was what I NEEDED! I LOVE THE SHOW AGAIN! The cultural festival arc was amazing and the pro hero arc with Endeavor vs High End was amazing!! I loved it! It made me love the show again! I soon went to read the manga.
and was amazed. The first arc in season 5 is important and is.. i guess kinda enjoyable.
Season 5 second half made the story have more depth and be more complex aswell as deeper. The story is getting very very dark and serious now.. Even though I just said that I don't like that.. the manga just does it better.. It feels good. The escalation to things are good. wowie.

I just realized that the sunset behind All Might when he says he wants Izuku to be his successor symbolizes the end of All Might as a hero.
Star Light actually his life as a hero ends after his fight against all for one, cause he can no longer stay in his muscular form

The color during the "You Can Become a Hero" moment was so beautiful. Combined with the rest of the scene, the pure emotions that it exuded...it actually made me cry. No anime has ever made me do that.

I remember watching behind the scenes for Breaking Bad, and they put a lot of emphasis on colors as well. All the way down to what characters wore, depending on what they were dealing with emotionally and whatnot.

I wish the quality would be the same every episode, it looks so god damn beautiful with the gold and pink cherry blossoms and to me was so visually appealing. Who knew this one little aspect can make an anime so much better than it already is, also a very interesting aspect in stories in general.

red, blue and yellow are alwo primaty colours, often connected to heroic characters
Really enjoyed your insight, some constructive criticism though, slow down with your narration a bit, feels kinda tense and rushed & really takes you out (especially when you have to catch your breath so often), you've got good insight man youre channel will probably blow up soon keep up the good work man =)

I like Boku no Hero Academia because it's style and manner of going about things is way more important to the show than the actual plot. Like if you look at the plot so far in the anime, he's been going to the school, fought a villain, and then next year he goes into a tournament and loses and now there's another villain. That's not very interesting considering you're in a world full of superheroes doing crazy shit every day. Boku no Hero Academia has a setting that could easily make it a show like Paul Dini's Justice League Unlimited where every episode involves countless unique heroes doing crazy shit all the time. But instead it focuses on the little things. And while that should be boring, the colors they use, the music, the motivations behind each character, and so much more make it all entertaining.

the thing that people don't notice is that there is no correlation between subscriber counts and vide quality. Ok I lied, but just cuz someone doesn't have 100,000K subs or even 1K doesn't mean they can't edit or their videos aren't that good. Imagine if this guy had 1M subs, less people would be saying "omg this is surprisingly good!" or "The editing is so good how did you do that? (etc)"

OnEiNsAnEmOtHeRfUcKa haha. I think Bleach had something more to give on the earlier arcs.....but...stories afterwards though......I think "bleh" is a modest reaction compared to how I think it ended up lol.
But I figured i should give it a shoutout because it did at one point had some pull and it did play some role in getting personal friends I know into anime.
+Nerdy Shenanigans Yeah, it did have some sort of a legacy back in the day. Didn't seem to last long though, and it was always kinda the runt of the pack trying to follow "The Big 3" around.
By the by, I feel like I should mention that your editing is actually f*ing fantastic for a channel of your size.

Er, Bleach *was* one of "The Big Three". Just a fact. Dragonball manga had ended before them all. Bleach had great style, character designs, and anime music. It was a unique gateway drug for a generation. Then it overstayed its welcome many times over and ended with some unfortunate editorial time pressure (take your time with the last arc, then suddenly YOU MUST END NOW). If it weren't for its mythical big three status it wouldn't have been forced to go so long. Oda's way better at extended serialization than any of his peers, but that's because he's a monster.

Imperfect's World I start with a script. Get it reviewed by a few people and I visualize how I would want the video to look! Go into premiere to edit and after effects to create the graphics and transitions!

Cites color in boku no hero but doesn't mention the fact that MIDORIya name is pretty much "green". His hair is greenish, his uniforme is green...
This really differs from an anime like Attack on Titan. I guess it's because of a completely different time period. AOT is set in a period of war whereas BNHA is set in the modern area.
HxH is also a great shonen title btw

I disagree with the thesis statement of this video whole heartly. The vibrancy and freshness of this series does not come from its color, but instead originates from its ability to portray emotion properly.
