For loudness purposes I'd have to go with larry, overall tone I gotta go with chomper. But my favorite of all your trucks is Baby squat. It was the best sound . I loved it!!!
@@kev_lsn7042 Jesus lol, these 5.0’s are loud as hell. Mine is in a Mustang but it’s about the same volume with a Roush kit and an H-Pipe. Love the RCSB F150’s after I saw what midnight performance has been doing with them
Larry is definitely louder, but I think Chomper sounds a bit cleaner. I don’t think Chomper sounds enough cleaner to make him win on that alone though. So, I’m giving Larry the trophy yet again!!! Basic, fun, and rowdy all day. (Please do more content with Larry btw.)😂😂
This is an interesting challenge for me. I happen to own a 2007 F-150 with a 5.4 Triton. Love that truck! It's a TRUCK! I've had it for about 8 years and I use it as a TRUCK! Last year I bought a 2019 GMC SIERRA AT4 with the new 5.3 for my wife. One of the first things we did was just take the muffler out. Sounds PHENOMENAL! So having both trucks, it's hard for me to pick a "winner". I have to say there really isn't one! Larry is definitely the loudest. It is so raw, mean, sgnarly, and just plain loud! Chomper is just such a different beast all together. Very throaty, rumbley, and more "tone" than volume. Larry is that guy that people look at and see all the signs of hard living and makes people say "DO NOT mess with him." Chomper is the guy that has a manner and presence that make people say "You PROBABLY SHOULDN'T mess with him." And they would be right to think so...😉
Larry is definitely louder, but I think Chomper sounds a lot better , the tone of Chomper is much better , some folks like it loud , mostly the younger folks , but I am more perfomance oriented , loud does not mean fast or powerful , it just loud I like a car or truck that is mellow when puttering around at low speeds , then when you get you foot in it , it comes alive and screams like a roaring Lion , you can hear the throatiness over the noise a friend has a 69 Mach 1 with the 428 SCJ , when driving around town it is purring a nice burble , sounds great , when he puts the pedal to the metal and does burnouts , even though he has a Built 428SCJ Engine with Headers , you can hear the tires spinning as they melt the pavement
I've owned both. The 5.3Ls sound better and let's be honest the 5.3L is a much more reliable engine. When I owned both the 4.6 and 5.4L Tritons I was always having to pull over and put a couple of the spark plugs back in and the 5.4L's cam phaser eventually crumbled.
I’m a 4.6L 2V man because of my 2010 Crown Vic PI. Still being unbiased though, I think in general, GM trucks with the Vortecs always a little better coming out the exhausts, I guess because whatever they use for their cat converters. But the Ford Modular engines themselves sound a lot better to me, rather you’re in the cabin, or hearing just the engine scream standing outside, without counting the exhaust. But if you gave them the exact same exhaust setup, it would still be the same way, because GM is pushrod and is a little slower and lower, and Ford Modular is SOHC, a little faster and very slightly higher. You can say the exact same thing for the 4.8L Vortec and 4.6L Modular as well.
I love how these 2 are the right generations to compare them to, instead of people comparing trucks just because they are same year. This f150 started in 1997 and ended 2003 and in 1997 the 1988-1998 Silverado/Sierra already existed then in 1999 GM released released their trucks to compete with the 1997-2003 f150, which this Sierra falls under. Then in 2004 Ford released their new f150 but unfortunately people were coming the 2004 f150 with the 2004 Sierra/Silverado which was old already for 3 years in a row then in 2007 GM released their Silverado/Sierra to compete with the 2004-2008 f150 then in 2009 ford released their f150 while GM 2007-2013 Silverado/Sierra already existed and again people were comparing them ignorantly, then in 2014 GM released their trucks to take on the 2009-2014 f150 but in 2015 Ford released their trucks while the 2014-2018 Silverado/Sierra already existed then GM released their trucks in 2019 to take on the 2015-2020 f150 but once again ford released their 2021 new generation while GM 2019-present already existed we are waiting for new generation from GM currently
And bc its a pos 5.4 id still take n like the 5.3 chevy even if it wasn't loud....reliable wins every time...make the ford as loud as ya want...its still a ford

The modular engines from the 4.6 to the 5.0 sound insanely good, every Ford engine does. But no resonator is not the way to go on anything. It’s unbearable for daily driving.

I think Chomper won but Larry does sound good and they both honestly sound pretty darn close against each other but I do thank Larry is louder but chomper has that nice an clean rumble it's hard to pick but I think chomper keep up the good work on the vids
I think Larry is a clap wagon almost all the time but chomper above 4k has way more pops, but under 4k is more daily driver friendly, so I think Chomper wins on the fact that he can do both
The 5.3 has a much cleaner sound to it. The 5.4 sounds alright but has a lot of crackles and pops. The 5.3 sounds really good, has a badass sound while driving. The 5.3 has a beautiful purr to it. While the 5.4 just ain't cutting it clean. My vote is the 5.3
I would say Chomper won because its much louder and its got a deeper sound to it than the Ford and plus Ive always loved the low rumble of a 5.3L Chevy or Gmc.
I will ALWAYS love the sound of 5.3’s as I am more of a fan of the low rumble

Such a sub-standard comparison of two brands. The Ford was superior to the GMC, but neither one was at all impressive. A waste of my time!
I like how u can still hear Larry clapping for like a mile on the light take off… THATS ford power right there y’all
I agree with most people. Larry is definitely louder overall but those 5.3’s have a clean good sounding choppy tone.

I like the loudness and clap of Larry but I think I enjoy the tone of Chomper more.

Larry clapped harder
