Kaiju no 8 is follows the theme of “what if I became the monster and used it for good” and so far it’s great. Unlike AOT who’s main character went down a dark path
It's a fun show honestly. I mostly follow the manga but the show is good. I didn't really see it as falling off but I know it's what a lot of people say.
yeah the first numbered was general godzilla time or the first one to be weaponized the anime hasnt shown number 1 yet so i'm curious if we even had the idea to take a picture of it that wasnt turned into some form of reiligious thing
Kaiju number 8 was an interesting anime. We finally had an adult protagonist and I can actually vibe with, while he was doing what he was doing to try to be near his child friend who of course happens to be a girl he himself has a strong sense of Justice and basically is a good dude, the side characters were fun and the music specifically the op and ed are different even if a friend did not like the ending theme because it sounds like a song you would here in your mall which thinking about it it does and the world is interesting. My only issues were that I wished the show was either 26 episodes or 50 instead of just the now standard 13 and the while the OP and ED is good, those are pretty short in length but other then that, it was a good break from all of the teenage protagonists, isekai protagonists and comedy teenage protagonists. Always glad to see you react to stuff!

Kafka wrote "Metamorphosis" which was about a man turning into a giant cockroach overnight, and then coping with the massive burden he's suddenly become for his loved ones. "The Fly" was the Jeff Goldblum body-horror movie, and the older one about a teleportor accident that got a man to swap heads with a fly (famous for the scene where he gets caught in a web and screams "Help Meeeeeeee!" in a tiny little fly voice).
Don't worry, Airier. At a certain age, *_everything_* will make you feel old when you remember how long ago it was when you last saw it. I knew you'd appreciate the literary reference that the main character has for a first name.

30:00 A lot of those companies throwing literal hundreds of millions of dollars at oversized, undertrained models, fed on a diet of undercurated, bulk-scraped garbage data from social media, have actually been going out of business. It turns out that putting ".AI" at the end of your company name , and announcing that your new model will have a thousand times more parameters to train (an a thousand times the training and deployment costs) of the guys who announced a model last week, will bring in lots of investment money, but if you don't actually have more than that to your business plan, it's just a plain, old-fashioned Ponzi scheme, with a much higher electric bill. Meanwhile, you can do any AI art that the average person will want in Stable Diffusion, on a GTX1600 or better. Something with RTX will be a few hundred times faster, but you definitely don't need a server cluster of A100 TPUs and the power budget of a small industrial nation to do this stuff.
i know this is off topic but like man i'm both the perfect and worst reaction channel viewer cause i'll only watch it with the reaction channel and never by myself and even if i watch it by myself i'll skip to the combat which is probably why voltron is still just power-rangers with slightly less flavor to me and that shit has i think 9 seasons?
Tokio subjugation university can mean a school in Tokio in which you learn to subjugate something (in this case kaijus) but it can also mean a school were you learn to subjugate Tokio
