Prime is my favorite show and One is my favorite movie, but I can't decide between these two tbh (I also like the IDW comics actually, but not as much)
The marketing did this film so dirty. It's a shame it's box officeis so low. Hopefully streaming and toy sales are enough for them to make a full trilogy. We need it.

there's been a couple of comic book versions that haven't been outright evil (not necessarily good, and in both examples I can think of they were manipulated by others into doing some bad things, but ultimately they regret those things and choose to go into self-exile as a result)

I was on the same boat, man. That first trailer killed any hype or interest I had. And when I heard it was a flop, I wasn't surprised. BUT THEN, all the clips started getting uploaded, people who watched the film talked about it, lots of people were hyping it up, and all those clips made me so invested, I had to see the actual movie. And bro, the marketing team absolutely failed this movie. This movie was INCREDIBLE. I genuinely believe this is one of the best transformers films to exist. It has everything, and it is also unifying so many elements across many different iterations. It's so damn GOOD. This movie deserves so much more love and I'm glad it's getting it now that word is coming out how amazing this movie actually is
I skipped watching any trailers because I wanted to go in to the first viewing blind and man am I glad that I did. It would've convinced me not to go to the first showing. Me and my roommate were the only two people in the entire theatre for the first showing in my town.
i actually forced myself to watch this movie and watched it in the last day of its week and thus i watched it take this your a low class child and the movie is soooo worth it😊
I feel like they built that up so they could rip out his voice box later so it hits harder when it happens. Feel like Bee is gonna get captured by Megatron at some point and he is going to get tired of Bee talking so he's going to rip it out, cementing him as an evil person. Hopefully we get more movies so that storyline can happen.

31:48 Love that we got to see Arcee, Wheeljack, Jazz, Ironhide, Sideswipe, Moonracer, and bunch of other recognizable bots here. Hopefully Arcee and Wheeljack become main characters next movie, their dynamic in TFP was so cool, they need to make Arcee more like TFP and IDW comic Arcee.

Elita One’s original name is Ariel. She and Orion are lovers in the original Generation 1 series of Transformers. They ended up changing their names to Elita One and Optimus Prime later on.
I saw the film twice. It may not have Peter Cullen and Frank welker in it, but I really enjoy chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Herny in this. In case you didn't know, Megatronus prime is sometimes depicted as betrayer to the prime and goes by the name the fallen and is the firest decepticon, but in this movie he seems to be an actual hero and Sentinel prime is the betrayer. Can't wait for the sequel
I went to go see this movie on the big screen, and my theatre was full of Transformers fans. I can guarantee that this is *THE BEST TRANSFORMERS MOVIE EVER!!!* Everyone in my theatre was on the edge of their seats in the 3rd Act and were clapping at the end of the movie, and Ive never seen people clap for a Transformers movie before! The trailers did this movie SOOO DIRTY! Everything from the stellar animation, music, fantastic fight scenes and choreography, the story, the character arcs and fantastic voice acting was just incredible. Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry truly blew me away, mainly because they absolutely killed it as Optimus and Megatron and brought a level of humanity to the characters as you truly understand where both of them are coming from and how much they care for each other as friends as it genuinely breaks your heart watching them fall apart. Brian Tyree Henry especially brought such a level of complex tragedy and emotional pain as D-16/Megatron that Ive never seen before when it comes to the character and honestly, he might be my new favourite take on Megatron. Usually Megatron has never been portrayed as a sympathetic villain who was a product of a corrupt system before in most media outside of the TF comics. I loved how you can see his thought process through his eyes and how he was genuinely happy being a miner and believed in the system, but after learning about the truth about Sentinel, his entire worldview shatters, and his mental state slowly collapses more and more. The moment he is mocked and tortured by Sentinel, D-16 finally has had enough, and the moment he accidentally shoots Orion, we see I'm going through a complete emotional breakdown seeing his best friend almost dead but also perceiving it as a betrayal as D-16 has always had to cover Orion and save him for all his recklessness. However, he still chooses to take the bullet because he is trying to save D-16 from making a terrible mistake, but ultimately, it is too late, and now only Megatron exists. Chris Hemsworth was also surprisingly excellent as Optimus Prime, and it really shocked me how much range he has as an actor/voice actor as he sounded like a young Peter Cullen. I especially love his arc of growing to understand his responsibilities and that scene where Orion inspires the miners to fight back against Sentinel was so empowering because it really shows what kind of person Orion is as I love the detail of Orion kneeling down at the miners' level because, unlike Sentinel, he was one of them and saw all of them as friends and family and inspiring all of them like a good father figure, which is everything Optimus Prime should be, a noble, hopeful leader whos never afraid to be gentle or compassionate to others. The movie is also surprisingly dark, as the trailers did not do this movie justice. There are genuinely a few mature and gruesome moments that shocked me and made me question whether this was a PG movie? It may have some moments of fun and levity for kids, which is funny, but when it needs to, it knows when to take itself seriously. It knows that the audience is smart enough to understand the Transformers franchise lore, which I appreciate. Im just disappointed with how poorly Paramount marketed this movie was as it truly deserved better promotion for such a great movie and yet the box office has many concerned that we might not even get a sequel, which I really hope this movie does get a trilogy of Transformers animated films because there is still so much potential to dive into the Civil War of Cybertron, the Quintessons, how Cybertron ultimately collapsed from the war and explore these characters on a deeper level.
After seeing that final battle in the movie, at the cinema, I had to change my pants! It was amazing! I absolutely love how they use their ability to Transform in fights, showing that when it comes to fighting, they have almost no limits!
I learned about it just recently but it turned out that the composer of this movie, is Brian Tyler! Same guy that did the music for Transformers: Prime! And you can actually hear some bits of the sad theme from the show in the scene where Orion is granted the Matrix!

I'd say the best place to learn about the basic broad strokes of the lore/franchise would be Transformers: Basics on Chris Mcfeely's channel. He goes into different continuities, timelines, and pretty much everything
THIS MOVIE IS THE MOVIE!! This movie absolutely DESTROYED MY NOSTALGIA I had with the Bayverse and became my FAVORITE TRANSFORMERS MOVIE, EVER!!! 100/10!!!!
My favorite moment is when he gifts D16 the decal. It perfectly shows how much they care for one another and how much D16 holds Megatronus in high regard.
That’s actually not arcee, that’s her sister Elita-1, and her other sister chromia is the one who won 1st place in the Iacon 5000, and arcee is one of the miner bots who get a cog at the end.
Transformers needed a reboot so badly in their movies, and while we did kinda get that in Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts, One knocked them all out of the water. It's a shame that the marketing for this movie stunk, because we deserve a trilogy with the quality of Transformers One. (shoutout to TFHypeGuy for getting a bunch of people on Twitter to see it)
The one thing that I don’t think people picked up on was d-16s eyes changing from yellow then after learning the truth orange then he killed Optimus they turned red
My favourite moment is when Orion is falling, and you can see cybertron transforming so he doesn't hit anything. Cybertron itself is transfroming to catch him as he falls.
One of the best pieces of Transformers media by far. It does the fans justice, we've been wanting something like this for so long!!! Screw the marketing for doing this movie dirty.
Fyi : the decepticon used to be the army of cybertron while autobots usually filled with bots who worked as courier or scientists, thats why decepticon managed to cull the autobots
Just a heads up this movie is its own continuity. Its not related to the Prime show but it shares aspects of it and it has the same composer which is why the music slaps so much and why you can hear the actual Prime show theme in the movie a few times.
The amount of "miners" jokes people made around this movie cracked me up. Then again, the miners are minor class, so any miner that steps out of line is committing a major offense...
Everyone thought this is gonna be a comedy! But I knew it, Iiii knew that it's gonna be sad and serious too! This tells the origin story of Optimus and Megatron, I knew it's gonna be heartbreaking 💔!

Even I thought the movie wasn't gonna be as good as TFP but now I'm dying to watch it 4 the 1st time myself in person cause that was bone chillingly badass and not to mention perhaps the best Transformers movie in history 🙌

The Matrix of Leadership is not found......it is earned :) What I loved most it this showed that Cybertron is Primus...and Primus felt the pain of his people...as in the end he gave the cogs back to those who has it stolened once Prime had risen and was earned the Matrix. :)

Everyone responsible for this movies marketing needs to be fired and barred from ever working in Hollywood again. Anyways, D-16 caught his brother in all but design. Megatron dropped his soon-to-be nemesis.

There are many continuities of Transformers with very different origins and histories. This is a brand new one. And this is by far my favorite origin story for Optimus, Megatron, and even Transformers as a whole. I do somewhat prefer the original 5 faced designs for the Quintessions over the new ones, but I'm sure we will see way more of them in the future and they will grow on me.

Orion’s Speech was really when he became Optimus Prime. And “I’m done saving you” was when D really became Megatron

I especially love his arc of growing to understand his responsibilities and that scene where Orion inspires the miners to fight back against Sentinel was so empowering because it really shows what kind of person Orion is as I love the detail of Orion kneeling down at the miners' level because, unlike Sentinel, he was one of them and saw all of them as friends and family and inspiring all of them like a good father figure, which is everything Optimus Prime should be, a noble, hopeful leader whos never afraid to be gentle or compassionate to others. The movie is also surprisingly dark, as the trailers did not do this movie justice. There are genuinely a few mature and gruesome moments that shocked me and made me question whether this was a PG movie? It may have some moments of fun and levity for kids, which is funny, but when it needs to, it knows when to take itself seriously. It knows that the audience is smart enough to understand the Transformers franchise lore, which I appreciate.
Im just disappointed with how poorly Paramount marketed this movie was as it truly deserved better promotion for such a great movie and yet the box office has many concerned that we might not even get a sequel, which I really hope this movie does get a trilogy of Transformers animated films because there is still so much potential to dive into the Civil War of Cybertron, the Quintessons, how Cybertron ultimately collapsed from the war and explore these characters on a deeper level.

Part of me was so scared that they'd ruin a dramatic moment with a bad joke. I am so glad that they kept the tone consistent for a scene.

After seeing that final battle in the movie, at the cinema, I had to change my pants! It was amazing! I absolutely love how they use their ability to Transform in fights, showing that when it comes to fighting, they have almost no limits!
I learned about it just recently but it turned out that the composer of this movie, is Brian Tyler! Same guy that did the music for Transformers: Prime! And you can actually hear some bits of the sad theme from the show in the scene where Orion is granted the Matrix!

My favorite moment is when he gifts D16 the decal. It perfectly shows how much they care for one another and how much D16 holds Megatronus in high regard.
That’s actually not arcee, that’s her sister Elita-1, and her other sister chromia is the one who won 1st place in the Iacon 5000, and arcee is one of the miner bots who get a cog at the end.
Transformers needed a reboot so badly in their movies, and while we did kinda get that in Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts, One knocked them all out of the water. It's a shame that the marketing for this movie stunk, because we deserve a trilogy with the quality of Transformers One. (shoutout to TFHypeGuy for getting a bunch of people on Twitter to see it)

Just a heads up this movie is its own continuity. Its not related to the Prime show but it shares aspects of it and it has the same composer which is why the music slaps so much and why you can hear the actual Prime show theme in the movie a few times.
Transformers is an underrated franchise I prefer it over the MCU and DCEU. The Monsterverse is also hype.
The amount of "miners" jokes people made around this movie cracked me up. Then again, the miners are minor class, so any miner that steps out of line is committing a major offense...

And of course 37:26, because it completely surprised me how far they went and showed us how Megatron and Optimus prime were born
And of course, the voice acting was phenomenal. When comes to Megatron and you can tell how hurt/angry he was.
Chris Hemsworth was honestly a nice surprise, because yes, he is Thor, and sometimes get slack for it. He’s a genuinely good actor because I believed him every step in the way.

The Matrix of Leadership is not found......it is earned :) What I loved most it this showed that Cybertron is Primus...and Primus felt the pain of his people...as in the end he gave the cogs back to those who has it stolened once Prime had risen and was earned the Matrix. :)

There are many continuities of Transformers with very different origins and histories. This is a brand new one. And this is by far my favorite origin story for Optimus, Megatron, and even Transformers as a whole. I do somewhat prefer the original 5 faced designs for the Quintessions over the new ones, but I'm sure we will see way more of them in the future and they will grow on me.
