When I saw The Room at a cinema we were given plastic spoons to throw at the screen, people even brought their own buckets of spoons to throw...spoons every where.
I know it's just a random stranger's opinion, but i really think that makeup look suits you the best Charlette. Amplifies the best features of your face and doesnt overshadow them like some other styles. Also, fantastic video of course! Been looking forward to another favorite movies video ever since you made the first one in front of your huge collection! :D
Nice to see some Cronenberg on there. Videodrome is my all time favourite film but I still need to see Naked Lunch. The Room is also a guilty pleasure for me too. Endlessly quotable.
If you're a fan of a "film" like The Room, you will probably like Neil Breen's movies. He has I think five movies so far, and they're not self aware. You can find full downloads of many of them on TH-cam.
I loved your first collection review a while ago and was happy to find this one! LOVE What We Do In the Shadows - so hilarious and very original! Great shirt by the way - I am a 90's JP fan as well.
I started watching Bates Motel a couple of weeks ago and I'm obsessed and I still haven't watched psycho, I was going to watch it but I've already seen the ending so should I even bother?
The substance used to depict blood for the shower scene in Psycho was Hershey's chocolate Syrup. The lay out and story boarding for the shot were done by Saul Bass. Mr Bass also created the AT&T logo.
I did a year of film school and my screenwriting teacher had some interesting stories. One, for example, was when he was talking about good screenwriting vs. bad screenwriting. He gave us examples of good screenwriting throughout the whole class, so on the last day, he decided to show us an example of bad screenwriting. It was a short film probably from the 70s or 80s. When the opening credits started to roll it said: "Written by (my teachers name)" so we all laughed, then it said "Directed by David Cronenberg" and we all gasped. He hadn't told us that he had worked with David Cronenberg (although he did talk about hanging out with Steven Spielberg) so we were all shocked. It's also kinda cool because I don't think the film will ever be shared publicly. If I can remember correctly, it was about a woman who thought she was a cat??
Love your voice as always. also, I know u probably answered this question ages ago but what is this beautiful subtle lip color you wear a lot in these casual videos? if anyone else can answer it please feel free as well thanks ^.^
I'm glad I'm not the only one who owns The Room on DVD and questions why they bought it. As for the movie about the film, it's called The Masterpiece, formerly The Disaster Artist, and Tommy is making a cameo.
My favorite movies: -The Godfather I and II -The Exorcist and The Exorcist III: Legion -Taxi Driver -Reservour Dogs -Kill Bill I and II -Goodfellas -Elite Squad II -2001 A Space Odyssey and 2010: The Year We Made Contact -A Clockwork Orange -From Russia With Love -Blade Runner -Star Wars Original Trilogy
Thank you for this sequel to your first video! How often would you say that you sit and watch a film at home? I have a personal goal of watching 100 films this year. I'm currently at 60, so this video was a great inspiration :)
I just love your videos! I definitely want to watch The Room after your description - just to see if any film can possibly be as bad as you say that one is! 🌞
I know you love reading so I would highly recommend reading Naked Lunch! The film is based on the book by William S.Burroughs (as you mentioned). It's loosely based on his experiences in Mexico and was also banned for a while due to the nature of the book. He was a part of the Beats Generation which also included Allen Ginsberg and Lucien Carr. They were trying to liberalise literature in America. Not sure if you've watched it but Kill Your Darlings but that includes a key moment of his and the Beats Generations life's. Little bit of a ramble but just wanted to give you a little information, haha. x
What did you think of Map to the Stars, assuming you've seen it? No surprise that Hitchcock's films have the capacity to startle and surprise even modern audiences. A lot of his ideas and methodologies remain to this day, influencing contemporary writers and directors inside - and even outside - the movie industry.
Your Hitchcock story isn't 100% correct. He partly filmed on black and white to avoid gore, but he did it mainly because he had to have a small budget. The studio didn't have much faith in the film, so he had to use his TV company to keep the film cheap (under 1mil). Also, he didn't use any form of fake blood, he used chocolate syrup.
I enjoyed "My Favorite Films Part 1 and Part 2" really enjoy your enthusiasm for each movie ! I enjoyed the original "Bate's Motel ! It is a classic! Charette it's fun for you to tell about theses movies. Next time , please don't forget "The Shinning." Loved your videos. Thank you. ~Phil
If you think "The Room" is the worst film ever, you've clearly never suffered through "Birdemic" and/or "Requiem For A Dream". 3:) Nice to know I'm not the only one that still insists on buying the actual DVD as opposed to merely streaming a movie on Netflix. Especially if there are BTS features on how the movie was made. Love to watch how things progressed from concept art to the clay model thingies (can't remember the term for them), early CGI models and whatever else have you. Many thanks for uploading this and all your other videos. No matter how terrible my days can be, there's nothing like relaxing to a video by you, VeniVidiVulpes, TheUKASMR or VisualSounds1. Please keep up the amazing work.
If you want to watch another Hitchcock classic try "Frenzy". Brilliant cinematography, every bit as great as Psycho imo. Also love the way you say Macabre 😁
Since you like The Room, and if you haven't seen them yet, check out Neil Breen's work. His movies share similar narrative elements and structure, but they're all nuts and fun to watch regardless.
If you like The Room then you'd love the book The Disaster Artist, written by one of the actors about the goings on behind the film, genuinely funny and interesting book.
My absolute favorite quotes come from "The Blues Brothers".....Elwood : "It's 106 miles to Chicago, we gotta full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses". Jake : "Hit it !!" Second favorite quote (from "Full Metal Jacket") - Gunny Sgt. Hartman : "WHAT IS YOUR MAJOR MALFUNCTION, NUMBNUTS?!? DIDN'T MOMMY AND DADDY GIVE YOU ENOUGH ATTENTION WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD?!?
If you are getting into Cronenberg you should really check out his early bigger released films like "Shivers", "The Brood," and "Rabid", he really was the body horror king back in those days, "Scanners" is great also, avoid the 2nd & 3rd though lol and Dead ringers is worth a watch as well, still don't get Naked lunch myself even though i get the reference and know about william S Borroughs, His version of the Stephen King Book "Dead Zone" is one of the better adaptation around, i never find that too many of them work, anyway just suggestions
I looovveee this video, I keep coming back to it lol, your picks are great! Have you watched anything by Darren Aronofsky? He's a crazy talented director, he also does some pretty weird films. Black Swan is my favourite, it's an absolute masterpiece. Based on what you picked here, I think you'd like it! Cheers, thanks for the amazing videos :) xx
If you like Cronenberg you should definitely watch his two films starring Viggo Mortensen - History of Violence and Eastern Promises. Both fantastic, particularly History of Violence.
Some great films here, The Room has a special place in my heart :) If you're wanting to continue down the rabbit hole of wonderfully weird and what the hell! films then I realllllly recommend Altered States directed by Ken Russell and Possession directed by Andrej Zulawski. Both are great examples of really surreal, abstract cinema with open and artistic interpretations :)
Have you ever seen 'Hour Of The Wolf'? It's a Bergman film about vampires. Very odd film. You might like it. Also you haven't lived unless you've seen 'Polyester'. Divine is hilarious! Very low budget on purpose.
Have you watched Dead Ringers yet? Holy crap. For my money it's the best meeting of the off the wall psychosexual stuff & the body horror stuff Cronenberg is known for and more traditional storytelling in terms of character arcs and thematic development. Also Jeremy Irons is just incredible. Twice.
Love having asmr movie time.. Though it does make me realise there are other films than just Star Wars! Great video!
Yes I love 'What We Do in the Shadows' I couldn't stop laughing while watching it! I'm so happy they're making a sequel
YOU'RE TEARING ME APART LISA
"WHY LISA? WWWHHHHYYYYYYY????!!!! Oh hi Mark"
I'm pretty sure it's spelled "Oh, hai Mark" lol
The flower shop scene makes me laugh so hard EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Bryson Edward Howe d
Jeff Brown hi doggy
Your video is both calming and wonderful with a pinch of playful energy loved it!
Insert your favourite quotes from the films mentioned here!
"We accept the love we think we deserve"
"Keep your stupid comments in your pocket..."
No Luke, I am your father
"that's one big pile of shit"
"See ya in Pittsburgh"
Couple of my favorite noir era films, double indemnity, the big sleep, key largo, and strangers on a train. Love the videos my dear keep them coming!
Your eyebrows give me life! No for real, a wonderful video as always! Keep up the good work
Great collection!!!......all work and no play makes jack a dull boy...love the shining
Oh my goodness, your eyebrows look incredible! Thank you for another great video!
Great list of films! The Room is hilarious and fun to attend at a midnight screening.
When I saw The Room at a cinema we were given plastic spoons to throw at the screen, people even brought their own buckets of spoons to throw...spoons every where.
Seeing it at a public screening changes the experience much more for the better, except for worrying about getting hit by all the flying footballs.
CarpeDeezNutz Wiseau got two people up on stage and married them to each other then and there.....the man is just batshit crazy!!!!
"i did not hit her, its not true its bullsh*t i did not hit her, i did Nooooooooot"
oh hi joeka
I absolutely love 'what we do in the shadows'! It's a shame not many people that I know have seen it
Nice to see some Cronenberg on there. Videodrome is my all time favourite film but I still need to see Naked Lunch. The Room is also a guilty pleasure for me too. Endlessly quotable.
What we do in the shadows! Hahah love that movie. Seen it three times now :D
Good taste
"I did not hit her, it's not true! It's bullshit! I did not hit her! I did not! Oh hi, Mark." Greatest quote ever.
Amazing colours in this video 👌🏼
If you're a fan of a "film" like The Room, you will probably like Neil Breen's movies. He has I think five movies so far, and they're not self aware. You can find full downloads of many of them on TH-cam.
The Room! Nooo! That film follows me everywhere I can't escape it
I loved your first collection review a while ago and was happy to find this one! LOVE What We Do In the Shadows - so hilarious and very original! Great shirt by the way - I am a 90's JP fan as well.
Impeccable taste. Love to see some David Cronenberg
I started watching Bates Motel a couple of weeks ago and I'm obsessed and I still haven't watched psycho, I was going to watch it but I've already seen the ending so should I even bother?
Love love love this video, I think I could probably listen to you talk about anything. You have gained a new subscriber to your channel.
I loved Flight of the Concords and had no idea Jermaine made a movie so thanks!
You mean Jemaine
The substance used to depict blood for the shower scene in Psycho was Hershey's chocolate Syrup. The lay out and story boarding for the shot were done by Saul Bass. Mr Bass also created the AT&T logo.
I really enjoy all your videos. Thanks
Your skin always looks gorgeous. What foundation are you wearing in this video??

I just love your videos! I definitely want to watch The Room after your description - just to see if any film can possibly be as bad as you say that one is! 🌞

Incredible ASMR voice

So no Blu Rays?
Neil Breen movies make The Room look like Laurence of Arabia.

Ye, at the start she puts a caption saying it wasn't meant to be vertigo
Sorry, you're absolutely right.

If you like Cronenberg you should definitely watch his two films starring Viggo Mortensen - History of Violence and Eastern Promises. Both fantastic, particularly History of Violence.
