It looks a bit cumbersome, and the controls seem like they are about a decade behind…for that I’d probably ‘value’ it a bit less. That 100w claim is just blatant false marketing…just because it can do it in one mode…Uugh. Great review as always. 😎📸
Whoa I paid 250$ for my GVM BD45R on Amazon. I almost considered getting an f100 instead. This video helped me stick with the GVM. Thanks man, extremely helpful!
Amazing review and interesting product as always. Unrelated to the review though, do you mind telling me what filter you’re using on your lens? Or is it just naturally flaring like that?
It’s still under embargo, but generally speaking it’s a “gold streak filter” that’s a part of a big kit that can hot swap VND, Mist, Streak, GND, etc. I threw it on because I always found watching the effects scroll by to be so unremarkable. Gotta add some interest to it haha. Review embargo lifts March 29 ;)
I had to delist the original AD200 review because the production quality was so bad, but hundreds were still watching it monthly, often complaining about the low quality 😂
Most laptops don’t have power adapters of that high a voltage these days, but I’m sure Some do. Overall it can always be charged via usb c, but it doesn’t take in 100W that was unfortunately. The power adapter has to be used for that.
Such an odd design. Seems like it should be able to be fixed in firmware if it’s even possible to access such things through the usb c port. On other stick lights I wouldn’t expect such a possibility, but there’s so little risk to overdriving the LED’s on this when it’s dynamically cooled with so much airflow.
@@WesPerry definitely strange but I'm not shocked tbh. Zhiyun always seems to be spec chasing like with the Crane 3S and it's massive weight capacity despite being a pretty big nightmare to try and use day to day
I bought two ...very disappointed ! Buying the Fiveray 100 lighting system with a built in battery systems is a bad Idea ! I'm already experiencing battery issues in 8 months in ! From a run time 30 min to 10 minutes at full power really sucks! Both units have issues with the dial changer , Both units are different as well , the second unit I purchased two months later allow for different color schemes while the first unit I purchased didn't have the same features or the first unit may be missing that feature...the scroll dial is overly sensitive and poorly designed.. although it appears to be made well there's much to that should be improved ....walk away from this purchase! Buy a system were you can change the battery easily... and stay away from that scroll dial, It is poorly designed and frustrating to work with ...
Well that is indeed quite disappointing. I sold mine a month or so ago, but hadn't experienced that yet. I do agree that wheel is just a user interface nightmare, though.
Legit honest youtube review. Feels like too many people kiss up to the brand to continue to get free stuff.
Yeah, my brand relationships tend to be pretty shot, unfortunately 😂
Cool video ! Could you suggest a very strong RGB 60-100W one that is compact size lightweight and app controlled ?

Great and honest review, thanks 🙌

Yeah this thing is a toy compared to the BD45R
Very honest review

@@WesPerry very nice
I already have the freewell gold streak, anamorphic filters, and this looked similar
Been watching you since the first Godox reviews

@@WesPerry people complain about free things all the time. Don’t let that deter you.
If I buy a kit without a power adapter, will this light stick work with a laptop power adapter?

@@WesPerry thanks for the answer!
Gooood
was totally considering this but half power at daylight is just dumb. cheers

Oh really? I had mostly only heard good things about it. Haven’t tried it myself.
44 seconds...wow!
Impressive!
