i just discovered your channel and im so glued , im busy hunting for a project mk1 this has to have gave me more than cool confidence to start my mk1 super great detailed content bud i love i love keep up the great volkswagen work
Great video very well explained, I’m doing a 1.8t swap in my mk2 I already mounted the engine m, your video help me a lot with the question that I still had. I will subscribe and keep watching your videos..!!
I’m really curious. How many days of labourage were captured in this one video? Looks like many…thank you for the wonderful infoentertainment once again!
That's really tough to say. This was shot over 4ish months between other projects and parts of the rebuild (hence the weird continuity). Just the stuff I did on camera was probably around ¿150 hours? That's a very rough guess though. Thank you for your support!
When i put a 02A on my mtdi mk2 it also hit the gearbox mount when turning, so i bought a Passat B3 front engine mount from poland dirt cheap. Interestingly a couple of days later i browsed the local junkyard and hey a B3 so i ended up having two :P And it sure fixed the issue. You can actually make a diy short shifter for the 02J shift tower smiths euro shows it. I did it and it reduced the forward and backward travel about 3 cm each way so 6 cm ish in total from third to fourth
I'm pouring over diagrams of cooling lines. Did you delete the aux (after-run coolant pump from the Mk4? I'd love a vid on just your coolant connections :)
re: the Letterkenny thing: yeah, a smidge of Alexander if I'm guessing. th-cam.com/video/2Z9cxjmNGcc/w-d-xo.html Entertaining AF though. Carry on feller.
-wrong coolant -pre filling oil filters when you literally explained why pre filling is a bad idea, thru explaining how they work -hot boy tune -no ppe anywhere -missed a point about solder introducing resistance to circuit -thinking 2 step on the street is cool thanks for showing me a few things i needed to see before i swap my Carat, but you really should perfect your craft before you try again nice to see homebrew builds i'd never drop a dollar on this car if it was for sale.
also you being in a rollover and THEN hardwiring your fuel pump 12v signal...TO THE IGNITION...is ... is baffling to me man your next rollover will result in fire if you don't miraculously remember to switch the key off boss or get a ford rollover breaker in line at least !! if this thing was in my bay for inspection , immediate fail
@@bakedbeansgarage116 sick reply but i'm just red seal heavy duty and 28 ... join us at the mk2 group man i did post your vid there and i said the same thing but we could use more content creators like you there it's a bit quiet we need ppl actually doing the damn thing not wondering how it is done

I'm actually glad to hear that, couldn't find anything online about that issue. Also sounds about right for trying to find uncommon parts, haha.
You’re pretty funny dude 😂
You sound so much like the Superfastmatt!
Double the oil, double the fun
I need it to be double the CONTENT.
Excellent video, could you give me the part number of the gas pump you used?

"positive electrons"
I’d honestly rather have something made in China rather than Romania🥶.
