Dave, it looks like the first three mods to the Maverick were actually high quality and look like they fit and work quite nicely, something that is kind of rare nowadays. When Dave is happy we are all happy. Keep up the good work. TP

Nice upgrades! I haven't owned a truck for 10 yrs, last one was worn completely out, but due to some financial issues I couldn't afford to spend what dealers wanted even for used.
I have grown use to being without a truck, but lately I've been wanting to get another. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and remember the Maverick car, so when Ford introduced the Maverick truck, I was a bit resistant. The little truck has grown on me the more I see them, so it might be a nice compromise to getting back into one.

Great stuff, Dave! Glad you finally got the Maverick you ordered and the upgrades are really making it your own. So odd that the temp will not display on screen when adjusting the control while using Android Audio. My ‘17 F-250 Lariat shows temp changes even while using Car Play. Looking forward to seeing how you correct that issue.

@redneck do you notice less storage room in the bed? I was gonna order the factory steel roll top for my truck when I get it, it rolls up and sits on top of the bed rails nut blocks your rear window view. I really like this set up but don’t want to be intentional with the space since the bed is already small.
I agree, was totally let down by being told it was a digital read out temp control and got switch to the shit version.

Just wondering about the tailgate does it have a electric actuator for it so it locks and unlocks when you unlock the cab or do you have a mechanical cylinder to unlock the gate.
The Lariat has an electric actuator the XL is manual - not sure on the XLT ;)

Nice cover! Curious.. what are the dimensions of the box that cover rolls into? Does it compromise much of the bed space?
It does a bit probably 8 inches - its clear underneath the box but it does take up some room on the top
First "upgrade" I did on my Tacoma was get the tailgate letters. Not really sure why that doesn't come standard but whatever lol

You said very heavy it’s not heavy at all, you said very expensive you bought the cheap model. I have the pro MX on my f150 king ranch and the pro XR on my lariat ranger. The ranger cover is 2,200 full aluminum heavier then yours and my 120 pound bombshell of a wife lifted and installed no issues

Yeah they dont do letters.
The name is stamped on the tailgate. The lettering he installed fills in the depressions of the stamped letters to make it more noticeable and bold.

Big fail in now showing measured dimensions once installed, lots of people will need this information as a selling point
Tell me you didn’t read the instructions 😂😂 you did so bad in the install. The clamps go in-between the plastic screw and not at an angle!!
