I think if I was gonna dip my car, this is what I would go with. Im loving it. I want to see you combine ZBR and ZBB sometime, maybe do some speedshapes with different ratios? Throw in some ZBO, why not? I want to see how the black to color and color to black shifts work either against or with each other.

Best one yet. I can see why Fonzie was so excited for the results and Gabe was staring down the 5-grams per gallon. Excellent subtlety. 5 out of 5.

@@bele28 I think they need to put it over a lighter base. Maybe over the gray or even try it over a blue base. I think it looks good, but I'd love to see it with a more pronounced blue like you see when they pour the mix into the paint canister. That blue looks AMAZING there!
@@BillDerrit just looks a weak blue with orange peel finish 🤷♂️
This is a "mature" colour, you can even spot some slight purpling of the blue in certain angles along with the fade to black is really stunning!

That purpling could be down to the inconsistencies of the white balance of the camera instead of the paint.
I think this is probably my most favorite color. It's pretty subtle but gorgeous coloring. You all killed it with this one.
Now THIS is the color that I would love to see the rainbow unicorn over/ or in conjunction with...I think- think being the word...that it would be an absolute sparkler!!!That could possibly be a 10..!!

This is just beautiful. Since you went with the lighter pigment load and it turned out so well, would you consider doing a side by side or split paint job showing the differences in too little/correct/too much pigment and what the results are?

That is beautiful! The deep blue is such a classy color and then shifts to black which makes it a little sinister. It doesn’t jump out like many of the other color shift pearls but I can’t look away. Awesome!

this has to be one of if not the best one you have ever done !!! from black to blue, perfect. most of the hyper shifts have green or red or gold r something in then that just messes up the finished look . this is perfect.

5/5. Glad you guys made this a kit, too! Looks like a paint option you'd pay extra for at the dealership when spec'ing out your own car! Would love to see this done "off the rails" as mentioned and see what happens when you go past the recommended pigment load.

I've been looking through a lot of these older videos, seeing what has been done. I think I've found a personal favorite that I'd want on my vehicle! 5/5! I like the shift angles, and the deep blue and black tones. Very nice!
I have a 2008 mazda 3, I believe I found my color for the mazda, Beautiful!!!!!
Love the chrome-like effect this has on the finish. It's not too loud, even at the brightest angle, and would complement just about any car looking for the kind of radiance this parades effortlessly. 5/5

Love this color. I could see the wheels turning when told heavier loads could cause some interesting results. Would love to see what a 10 gram and 15 gram load like. Keep up the great work guys.

This has now become one of my favorite hypershifts! Absolutely blown away, and it almost looks like my factory Midnight Black Pearl on my 03 WRX. Gabe hit it on the head with 5 grams and it's beautiful!

The blue is awesome all by itself but the black shift is subtle and mesmerizing!
I love how this looks when done the recommended way.... But the over spraying result sounds interesting too. I'm hoping from the look in Fonzie's eyes and the sigh from Gabe we get to see that eventually.
LOL! There is no negative effect with too much of this pearl you just start losing the black and start introducing more purples and ambers. It will definitely be beautiful with a higher pearl load we just really wanted the black to blue effect for this one.
So much yes! Gentle shifts always look classy but this is next level. Amazing job guys

i was just gonna say the same thing. dip really doesn't have a solid luster like cosmetic PPF has. I just got some samples of flexishield in the other day and my god... its the cats meow... way better than dip, way better than crappy orange peel vinyl wrap...just straight up wow. to the point where you'd almost want to lay it down on a detailed car thats had all of its orange peel smoothed out ( not sure if it would shine through the film or not )
I'm having it done to my mustang and added to paint. Once done I plan on sharing pics but not sure how to do it on here.
That's a pretty sick combo. The blue is dynamic and the colour change is in good proportion. May even get away with a little more in the mix for a slight darker result.
I was thinking of adding a little more black in it too.

What would be the difference between this and the Ultra Blue interference Pearl over a black base?
IF you used a red base coat, would you get a purple to black?

that blue is insane! I was just about to do blue/black candy until this came out! Ordered 10g as soon as I saw the pour! How many coats did you have to spray to get the coverage?
We need to see it over different base colors. Would love to see a better kick between the blue to black, like the ZBR

The entire point of why this is getting better comments than any other one I've ever seen is because it's subtle. MOST of these hypershifts are too "better kick"! They look like something a teenager would love or show. But most adults, prefer something a little more classy and refined, with less zing. Get it?
Pretty great. Not sure if the blue really pops or not, maybe the camera isn't picking it up very well or not. A blue to black shift is something I have wanted for almost 30 years. I love the idea.
I thought the blue would have had a stronger chroma as well.
30 years ago (and today, still) a very similar effect could, and can, be achieved by spraying a dark blue candy over a black base.
I was blown away at the mixing paddle action.
Stunning colour and very subtle over the black.

1984 I have an Alfa with the same Blue to Black effect paint on it. It was from Metal flake,Royal Blue on Black pearlshent 😉
