Sad to see the devastation from the hurricane but I hope you find the bottle of your dreams, Kyle. Glad you got to spend time with your dad doing something you both like doing together. Cherish that.
So sad about the devastating effect of the hurricanes.Be careful of snakes. That worries me.Nice to spend quality time with your dad. Happy New Year to you both.🇬🇧
We live a hop-skip and a jump away from where you are Kyle. Be careful in the debris. We were hit by Helene pretty hard, structural damage to the house and looks like a bomb went off in the yard ( we’ve been able to get the yard half-way in order but to date…no contractors to help with the house ). Sorry to be a “ Debbie Downer “ but you enjoy your hunt and I hope you find something exciting to add to your collection. 😊
@@jimmylarge1148 , yep but I don’t want to be on TH-cam as someone’s video. Ya know what I mean? So we’ll just wait until one of the contractors contacts us locally. Thank you for asking. ☺️
Glad you got to spend time with your dad. Enjoy your time with him, he is awesome. The video was so fun to watch. Good luck on your hunt for the elusive bottle.
The knowledge banging around in your brain is phenomenal. I love your bottle videos. As an itty bitty, I'd go with my mom and her BFF bottle digging. To keep me occupied, they'd dig up a worm and let me play. Soooo many times mom would end up finding a worm in the wash water later on. 😅
I lived in Swainsboro Ga not far from Nashville from like 1969 to 1972 something like that. Loved my time there and often wished we hadn't moved. I was still in grade school during those years.
Personally I myself would be collecting any and all broken colored glass found. I'd take it all home and put it all in a tumbler and have some nice colors for display in a nice clear bottle or jar. Maybe even use some for crafting or to make a stained glass window for show of my beautiful colored finds. Just an idea for yall to try if you would like to try it for yourself. Sure seems to me you tend to find an awful lot of beautiful colors of glass treasures on your hunts. Good luck to yall on your hunt. I hope you find that bottle and many more treasures you are looking for including marbles.
Three full days and not a single doll part? You are slipping Kyle. It was crazy to see you find a marble out in the middle of the woods. I see you and your Dad have matching arrowhead tattoos, very cool.
Found this channel a week ago it's very addicting! Loved ur Calvert Cliffs vid from a while back been there a few times my home state. Not many creeks around me but I walk a lot of beaches
Wonderful video. Thanks for taking us along! Have you ever considered collecting some of the old pieces of glass to tumble to create “mock” sea glass? It looks amazing in old mason jars. Only takes a few days in the tumbler.
Hey there! That was an awesome bottle hunt! I love just walking in the woods & to find a nice old bottle is a bonus! Much love and respect from Henderson Ga USA
Have you thought about searching in an area that has some abandoned buildings such as a gas station or small general store. I also watch another guy who goes to old town’s, find the old plat maps that show where old hotels, bars, restaurants, boarding, houses, gas stations, etc. he then goes and gets permission to dig on those sites. And he uses a probe bar just like you do to locate Wells, burn pits, out houses, which he digs out. Primarily, he finds bottles. I think if you could do something like this, you might have a better chance of obtaining your goal of that special bottle. His TH-cam channel is called, lost horizons. You might want to check it out or get in touch with him to ask for details how he finds the locations he does. Thanks for taking me along on these exciting journeys of discovery. Physically there’s nothing like that I can do anymore, so I think I live vicariously through you and your girlfriend. 😁
I love Tom's channel! He's in a totally different part of the country that seems to be easier to get permission sites for some reason, and it's far less developed. But I'm still gonna be doing my best to get access to those kinds of sites!
Kyle, I hear a jingling noise. Does your dad carry a large ring of keys with him because it sounds like me when I’m out I carry a ring of keys for just about everything in my house. I’ve always done that as a kid carrying my keys and everything else with me it just so I can pick up the jingle sound of the keys jingle off each other. That’s awesome. Look at the damage. The trees are in. You should find something really awesome.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm extremely glad to see you decided to put some gloves on. I'd hate to see to get injured. Also the arrow and dear bone & the skull was an awesome score.boy i sure hope you are wearing a good tall pair of boots to help protect you from snake bites too. Good to see you spending time with your dad too. Love watching & seeing you explore and the treasures you score. I'll keep watchin. Take care and good luck on you treasure hunts.
Cause that’s funny Kyle I usually keep my keys on a ring and clip them to my belt and that’s all you hear is the jingle jingle that’s funny but anyway, sweetie I hope you find that bottle you want but again you’ve had a really interesting video and I enjoy it❤❤
Really liked the search Kyle . I found a really old black glass bottle under a downed gigantic oak in Maryland a few years back . I think that round steel thing you found was a lid to a cast iron wood burning stove ! Nice ! 👍
Great video! Some of the clear/lite bottle blue marbles come from Cod bottles, the glass on the neck of the bottle was pinched & the marble was placed in the bottle thereby stopping anymore of the drink to be swallowed other than a sip at at time, very interesting concept & very collectible bottles! I am sure you already knew this, but that first marble you found looked like a cod marble, kids use to brake the bottles to get the marble out,it is rare to find a whole bottle!Happy hunting!
I liked you adventure looking for a specific bottle a Nashville Ice Co Nashville, Georgia soda. At least you found a section of the bottle with the identification on it which was surprisingly quick. I think you'll eventually find it when you least expect it. Your father's stopped was unique, personally I think it went to a perfume bottle. Good luck on your quest for your soda bottle Kyle. Take care and be safe. Missed seeing Natalie with you, that's why you didn't find much marbles.
I have a theory that the kids who had to dump the trash, back in the day, would throw rocks at the pretty ones for points. It seems like all the neat ones are destroyed, and the clear ones go unscathed. Anyways, another thing I have thought of is saving the broken ones to tumble in a rock tumbler with contractors sand. Then they could be sold for crafts.I can't go bottle digging anymore because of bad knees, but maybe you or somebuddy else would do this?Just a thought.Great channel.I like a lot of the same things you do-glad to see you gettin' out in it!
I remember when I was growing up in the late 80s and early 90s we'd walk the woods right up the road in Brookfield and occasionally find an old dump like those. The bottle was embossed with the store name on the side and a H on the bottom and said property of coca cola around the base. I'd love to get back there some day with my detector but the guy that used to take us there died several years ago. The bank vault is still standing or it was 20 plus years ago. I want to say it was the world's largest cypress mill at one time. Should do a little research into it. It was an amazing place to walk around last time I was there
Kyle, there are things that look like two prong forks that aren’t very big maybe to your hip with the handle included and you can put it in the dirt gently and turn it left and right to loosen things up so that you’re not using that big old shovel and potentiallybreaking more than you mean to food for thought
Love this video and can't wait to see more like it! There was a lot of destruction all over Lowndes County also. Love watching your searches. I'm learning about what to look for when I get out this summer. I live in Ohio right now we have snow. One question, do you clean out the bottles then boil them in water is there anything else you to the bottles during g the cleaning process?
I usually just use a bottle brush and some soap and water. I wouldn't advise boiling them. The high temperature would probably crack them. If the stain is particularly bad you can use muriatic acid. But that stuff is really not fun to deal with.
The hunt continues. At least you got some great bonding time in. Nice adventure!

Should've mentioned..some the creeks yall in Alabama..looked(and proven)there's gold.

That stopper was most likely to a perfume bottle. The narrow, longer stem that it has is to put just a dab on the ladies' pulse points. 💜🧡❤️

Its possible the spot with all the broken whisky bottles was a still site.
I was thinking that, too
Good times, making memories ❤
The pile of bottles maybe a bootlegger bottle cash. I find one once got 4 BIM quart whiskey bottles 3 were embossed.
Very cool! I didn't think of that!
Boy that was a crazy storm. Be safe
I'd love to find some bottles my grandfather ,family blew in the 1890s .

What your doing today, me and about 10 kids would call it scavenger hunting so your bring back memories of long ago
Being so dry . You would thing that the reaction from the sun onto glass would start a fire
I went bottle digging 2 days ago and found alot of ceramics
I went to visit and check on family out around Ray City and saw all this damage, it's wild. It doesn't even look like the same area anymore.
Amazing that you found even a small piece of your hometown soda bottle. I call that a great start for the new year!
This reminds me of the tornado that went through Bellville ,Ohio ,the tornado that tore up the Mansfield cemetery. And of the awful ice storm of 2005

I can't believe I did honestly! Hopefully a sign of more to come. There's some really nice Ocilla bottles! I haven't found any yet.
That tick would have been buried under the point of a sharp stick if I found it( the reason I don't walk in the woods when it's warm anymore)

The ol' tick on a stick.
Could make a napkin ring out of the broken bottle from your hometown that you found.
Definitely! I was thinking of at least sanding it down so the edges are smooth and not sharp.

Kyle, that was fun. Thank you both.
I love bottels from the 30s and 40s from all the history from that time
Have you ever explored the Satilla river or the 17 mile river?
Or are they even a candidate for exploring?
Have you ever looked for where the factory was that made those bottles?
I've researched it a bit! If I'm correct about where it was there is now an apartment complex there 😂😭
Have you thought about privy digging in Nashville?
I want to do that badly! Gotta get some permissions!
❤❤❤❤❤
Be forewarned. Trees that are uprooted can stand back up and that would end your day very quickly.
