Clorinde is now in Genshin Impact's version 4.7, and since she is a brand new electro sword user, we HAVE to pull for her on our Swords Only account. The question is, can we win the 50/50?...
Swords Only in Genshin Impact can be quite challenging at times. However, as the self-proclaimed master of "Weapon" Only challenges in this game, I am able to best any obstacle (probably).
HoYoVerse put out a tweet saying "Polearm Impact"... So I decided to take it upon myself to make a new account, but only use characters who wield a sword because absolutely nobody asked me to.

Tip for Java and anyone else reading this: When you're up against the Ice Dancers, Furina or any character with a ousia alignment, their ousia ability will instantly take down the cryo shield.

Weapon wise, Kazuha or Shinobu would love to get Xiphos ! Kazuha a bit more for personal ER use, Shinobu probably to "battery" other characters in the team, since she's used in Alhaitham team with Xingqiu and DMC (both could use higher ER), or just for Clorinde, like you mentionned.
Speaking of Clorinde : Mistsplitter could go back to Ayaka/Ayato, and she could do very well with R5 Finale of the deep (craft from Fontaine), since it gives a lot of atk (24% + 300, on top of 565 + 26.7% base stats) and if with Furina/Jean, she almost instantly gets +40% electro damage, while the enemies get 40% debuff.
Tbh if u want too then spend some money money bc seeing more 5 star swords on the acc whould be rly fun tbh but only if u want too!

I was lucky getting clorinde on my very first pull this banner at 30 pity. Been going for her sword since then but haven’t gotten lucky yet
When building her I put her with furina, xingqiu, and Jean. I didn’t realize they were all sworda until hours later so I now jokingly call that team the “SwordsOfJustice” and it’s actually a pretty good team.
Edit: also after testing I feel like finale of the deep, Fontaine forge sword, works better for her than mistsplitter personally.
I pulled my Clorinde during this, and she came slightly early 🎉

@@columbinadamselettefan It not, chiori wants to do geo damage, if she does pyuro damage, all of those geo buffs she has in her kit dont work, which include gouro, her goblet and any geo damage buffs the party might have

Well, 3 out of 4 are good for this account. That's a win, from my point of view. Not as good as it could be, but not as bad either.
For example, he could've pulled any non sword character like Mona instead of Jean. What would he do with them on SwordsOnly? And he could've pulled another bow or a spear from the weapon banner. 75/25 is better than 50/50, but still high enough to lose.

23:24 'yes atleast one of those is heavily cryo resistant and also ayaka's DMG is considerably effected by constant Freeze Aplication for which Furina kinda lacks the capability.
Furina actually works VERY well for ayaka’s freeze - you really don’t need much hydro app at ALL for freeze, even barbara can maintain it. The issue lies in the cryo application, and we currently only have 3 good applicators in the game, ayaka, wrio and charlotte.
Also, freeze doesn’t work against bosses so ayaka also doesn’t work massively well against them in freeze comps.
I wonder if doing "Alhaitham XQ Kuki Kazuha" on first half with "Clorinde (Dendro MC or Kiara (Kiara if C4+)) Furina and Jean) on second half would be more optimal.

I remember this is exactly how I got my main, Raiden Shogun. I lost the Pity to Mona and then worked my butt off to collect a lot of primos to finally get her on my last single wish.
Did that too for Yae Miko except I lost to Qiqi 💀
The second I saw the Raiden ult leak I was obsessed. I worked my ass off and managed to gather 30 pulls in a month. The day she came out. I managed to get her on the third 10 pull TWICE. She is my first 5* as well.

You don't really need super long up time on the dendro application you just need frequent application. And Clorinde's self heals should be more than enough to trigger Furina's fanfare.

An easier way to explain is that after enhancing normal atk, use 3 na then E then repeat it

Give albedo some screen time by making him the c6 Benny pyro dps, team idea: albedo chiori Benny and Layla or furina or xingqiu
tip for Java and any clorinde havers watching this: Clorinde's talent priorities are skill, burst, and normal attack. Her kit's dmg mainly comes from her skill. Keep reading for further explanation about her kit!
So basically, after activating her skill, she enters the 'hunter's Vigil' state, i believe, which converts her normal attacks into electro gunshots, and tapping her skill will make her dash, dealing AoE electro dmg. with each electro gunshot she releases, she gains bond of life. How to work her skill is like this: you activate the skill, hold charge attack until her bond of life value is equal to 50% of her HP (basically until the red bar is halfway through her HP bar), after that, tap her skill so she dashes forward and deals electro dmg. tapping her elemental skill will reset her bond of life. her skill's dash will do more dmg scaling of the bond of life that has been resetted. Also, everytime the bond of life resets, she heals herself.
Additionally, unleashing clorinde's burst causes her to generate some extra bond of life. Therefore, you should burst with her first, then do her skill, since the bond of life from her burst and electro gunshots combined give her a TON of Bond of Life value, she deals more dmg with her next dash.
Ideally, when using her in a team, you should start the rotation with the other characters setting up their skills/bursts and then switch to her and do big numbers. Like cyno, she needs quite a bit of time on feild, and after her skill ends, you're gonna need to set up your characters again within the CD of her skill, and switch to her again. rinse and repeat!!

Clorinde was my first double 5 star, when I did a 10 pull with 50 pity and on 50/50 that was the last thing I expected. Now she's just my favorite character, even though her c1 isn't that great

I haven’t really seen anybody comment these so I just wanna mention:
Personally, I love thundering fury (electro artifact set) on Clorinde because it makes her E cooldown shorter and so the rotations feel smoother. I was originally gonna go for the new set like Arlecchino but after testing 4 Thundering, I immediately dropped those plans.
I know this doesn’t relate to the video but I have an idea for a Genshin four star. So he’s a shotgun wielding, Pyro, monster hunter. His goal is to eradicate every monster in the multiverse since his sister was killed by a hillichurl. You have to defeat him since he is a weekly boss and he has two phases. First, his shots are slow and weak so this phase is easy. Next he will shot as fast as a machine gun and and has a 250% damage multiplier. If you defeat you obtain as a character. He has 5 million HP and you have to be AR 55 to challenge him.
You have to hide behind some monuments as he shoots to not get destroyed. The monuments collect Pyro damage and if they collect enough, the boss gets tired and you can attack him. Please give some name suggestions. His is from Natlan.

I felt the same for kazuha rerun.
I had wanted him since releas and stockpiled till 5 star with my 2 friends, I pulled for all 3 and got neuvi on both my friends account. One of them also got a double (a jean after neuvi guaranteeing furina ) and I was the only one who lost. Kazuha was the only character I cared enought for to prefarm primos and materials too. Somi can confidently say I felt you pain during the jean pull

BTW Java if you want longer rotations with Clorinde, 4pc Thundering fury is her 2nd best in slot, less technical to play and you can also use some of the artefacts for Keqing.

people say c6 bennett ruin ayaka but from the way i play her i see no dmg loss in that
i dont use ayaka NAs much anyway even in monocryo/freeze teams its just CA>E>Q then swap to funnel ayaka and by building melt ayaka c6 benny will allow her to melt her Es (200k E goes brrr) and half her burst which is alot of dmg in exchange for half her NAs dmg that i dont use anyway
imo the only characters bennett truly ruin are Fremi Eula and kinda c6 Lynette which there are alternative for him with these characters

I will say that healers arent the best with bond of life characters since healing them will lower their bond of life value cus any healed HP will get rid of bond of life before it actually heals the character's HP. Clorinde also has a self healing mechanic with her bond of life when she uses her skill again after activating it, much like how arlecchino converts her bond of life into hp with her burst. Running her with a shield is preferable over a healer for this reason, so Kuki isn't actually very useful with her at all lol

(its been 2 years xiao still has THE WRONG TALENT listed as his highest priority talent to level up, the amount of people genuinely getting misled by it is actually insane)
genshin needs to start specifying what they mean by na damage, Yoimiya wants hers levelled up and it basically says the same thing as Clorindes skill so how would people even know. Ive seen way too many people pour so many materials and hours into a pointless talent, at this point its better to remove it or add a bonus scaling or something
Ayaka & chiori infusion (if you ever got her C6) CAN be overriden by Bennett C6 so rip using Bennett with them 😂

you can use 4pc glad on chlorinde, it's really not much worse than the new set and maybe even better if you have good substats. When you inevitably have to farm primos after losing a future 50/50, you can build companion sets in the teapot and they give you a decent amount of primos (you can probably get 2000+ in total), if you stock up on those things that let you create furnishings instantly beforehand, you could get a lot in a single day and it's much more efficient than doing long-ass quests or god forsaken hangouts (brother ew)
p.s. the normal attack talents were an unfortunate situation)
Not gonna lie, I'd have defo skipped the character banner to try my luck Oops, All Swords. They are so rare. I think the last banger weapons banner was Lyney's initial run and the Oops, All Bows banner 🤔
Istg I’m still salty at this banner, also it is scary how similar my pulls were to yours. I lost my 50/50 to jean as well and had just enough wishes to get her at soft pity so I feel your pain. I really wanted to pull for her weapon because before her banner came out I was at 73 pity so I was hoping I would win the 50/50, but nope, made me lose and she didn’t come home until soft pity. Also, out of all the pulls I did I only got one Sethos which I’m also sad about. Glad to see I wasn’t the only one struggling on this banner but it sucks all the same🥲
