- Furina has come in Genshin Impact's 4.2 update, and as the first archon who wields a sword, of course we have to pull for her. Bad news is we need to win the 50/50...
Swords Only in Genshin Impact can be quite challenging at times. However, as the self-proclaimed master of "Weapon" Only challenges in this game, I am able to best any obstacle (probably).
HoYoVerse put out a tweet saying "Polearm Impact"... So I decided to take it upon myself to make a new account, but only use characters who wield a sword because absolutely nobody asked me to.

Jean + Furina is such a good power combo for almost any team. You should definitely invest more into Jean.

is this good? Jean+Furina+Yelan+Hu tao, i also have Mona and Ayaka too. (I don't have Furina but im quite lucky so I hope to get her in her next rerun)

the healing pet on Furina's pneuma alignment doesn't follow you, only the three dmg pets do. If you want to place the heal pet somewhere different, you can charge atk twice. But the healing radius is just as large as Nahida's burst!

The Abyss mages need enough "space" in a cone shape in front of you to be able to teleport. If you're facing the wall but are too close to it, then there isn't enough space between you and the wall for them to actually teleport.
“Quick” Furina Rundown:
Furina’s Normal Attack has a chance to deal Hydro DMG at certain intervals, however, it doesn’t apply Hydro.
This type of DMG is called Arkhe DMG.
She can switch between Ousia and Pneuma by using her Charged Attack.
In Ousia form, her Elemental Skill summons 3 entities with independent ICD that deal DMG based on her Max HP and talent level.
In Pneuma form, her Elemental Skill summons 1 entity which heals based on her Max HP and talent level.
When her Elemental Skill is active, she can walk on water.
Her Elemental Burst summons an audience that gives her Fanfare Stacks whenever an independent character’s HP is changed.
She can get up to 300 stacks, the Fanfare Stacks that buff the entire team based on Furina’s talent level and the amount Fanfare Stacks gained.

The hydro damage from normal attacks doesn’t apply hydro, it’s the arkhe damage for either pnuema or ousia, it’s just elemental damage without applying any element to the enemies. All fontaine have those, either on normal attack, skill , or burst.
Edit: just to clarify for those who may mistake for a normal hydro hit.

Here's a tip that'll probably make farming for Furina easier for you: if you're running the skill DMG set then an HP goblet is better than Hydro DMG
With freeze you’d be better off with Kaeya instead of Xingqiu - Ayaka is you main damage dealer and she’s energy hungry, also cryo resonance is nice.
Going Ayaka/Furina/Kaeya/Jean also frees your Xingqiu for Alhaitham hyperbloom team with Kuki and dmc/Kirara

A reminder: cryo resonance gives crit rate. So Java can casually gain 15% crit rate just like that

9:33 Characters with crit rate ascension: Itto, Diluc, Furina, Lyney, Wanderer, Xiao, Yae Miko, Yelan, Yoimiya, for a totoal of 9 characters. Coincidentally, characters with crit dmg ascension are also 9.

I scrouched up as much as I could, it made me go all the way to pity... and gave me Jean (Still just missing Diluc). I had one wish left, and had decided I'll throw this last wish in and then save for Kazuha. Even skipped the animation expecting it to be blue- only to get jump scared by Furina, I made the most inhuman sound. It was techinically 5 wishes after Jean and I've never gotten a 5* that early.
New challenge: get every sword character and their own sword

1:07 Well, considering I managed to get Furina's weapon last night after losing once to Baizhu's donut when the patch first came out, yeah, the luck is real.
My Furina looks a little weird, has red hair and a Pyro vision, a claymore too, odd my Nahida looked like this too

For weapons, you can run her with an ER weapon like Favonious or the pipe sword from fishing. If you got the 4star Fontaine gacha hp sword you can use that in her too. Her best f2p weapon is festering desire, but you can’t get that anymore unfortunately
She can be played burgeon with C6 Bennett. Since her charge attack resets her summons attack cycles, she can force the crab to attack more often. So just run her with C6 Bennett and DMC and you have a burgeon team.
So far ive seen 5 content creators loose their 50/50 to tighnari while going for furina, I've also lost to him
Btw the abyss mages only teleport to you if it's actually a valid place for them to be. When you were looking away, you were too close to the end of the arena where they can't stand so they didn't teleport
A small thing that'll be nice to remember is that if you take Furina to Floor 9, you can shut down the center thing on 9-3 regardless of which side she's on by just having her stab it with a normal attack (in long hair mode for the first half, in short hair mode for the second half). You could also put Furina on the first half and Lynette on the second half, then you can shut them both down. It's not as if you're even close to needing to do that, but just putting that out there.

I literally screamed “LETS GOOOO” When Tighnari appeared since i main him until I remembered this is swords only
finally catched up with this series today and i got rewarded with a fresh episode!
also i did the fishing before she was even out
that pole was sitting there at r5 waiting for furina
maybe they change the pattern or that you aren't far enough from the mages, if i remember correctly the reason you have to look at the wall is to limit the spawn location because it's tied to your field of vision
Here’s some info on relatively useful quest chains to do in Fontaine if you haven’t (for Java or for people just in comments)
1) theres a series of quests throughout Fontaine called: Ancient Colors (near the Beryl/Elynas statue of the 7), Ann of the Narzissenkreuz (west of Fontaine’s city), Unfinished Comedy (already was shown in a video, triggered by going into the Fortress of Meropide), and Aqueous Tidemarks (by Fontaine Statue of the 7) that unlock a quest in the new area called “Search the Algae Sea”, finishing that quest chain will give you a free 4star sword that can let non-fontaine character use Arke (not super useful but still the sword looks cool)
2) Theres also a relatively short world quest (about the same length as the one to unlock Enkanomiya) called “The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes” triggered by finishing a puzzle under the big Willow tree that unlocks a shop where you can trade Tidalga for various items including the flowers needed for Furina (you can get a total of 15 that way)
Also u can walk/run on water with furina infinitely with her skill active as long u replenish the skill
when it comes to teleporting, enemies want to teleport in front of you, so you need to be far enough for them to teleport and facing in a direction where there's space for them to teleport, if either is false, they just won't teleport

Ayaka freeze with Layla Jean Furina (double fav or fishing sword for Furina) is most likely the best bet for swords only account !
She could also be the healer of the bloom team with a healer set (maiden ER/HP/HB to burst on cooldown and have her boost the team + heal more, like a proto Amber Mona or Noblesse Barbara). But if i remember tests correctly she doesn't boost bloom cores, just the onfield character damage.

I think you need to upgrade Jean to at least 81 bc she heals the hole team and Furina needs a heal up-time for increasing the dmg of little 3 gusy, and they decrease hp from the hole team.

Tip:
Furina scales off of HP.
I recommend hp%, hydro damage bonus, critdmg and critrate.
Also, Long hair=Healing mode
Short hair=Damage mode
Hydro damage is only useful for c2 and above. It's still recommended to use HP/HP/Crit for c0-c1 build

I lost my 50/50 too and I wish it had been a Tignari(one of my FAVORITE mains and 3 cons away from being c6) but it was a Keqing. Im just glad it wasn't a Diluc, the only standard 5 star I don't like playing.
I'm actually using Furina on almost the same team with the exception of swapping out Xinqiu for Kazuha and it works really well

java, a good team comp is furina with jean and c6 benny and xingqiu. one of her better f2p weapon would be the fontaine fishing weapon or festering desire

You should only pull on the weapon banner if there are 2 swords, because you could lose all your primos in that banner
FYI, there's a new free sword for finishing the Narzissenkreuz world quests. It baisically gives non-Fontain characters pneuma or usia. But otherwise is the same as thw flute. And you can even r5 it too!
He doesn’t do quests or any exploration on these acc if u can’t tell, so I doubt he did that quest

Hey Java the cup Furnia can when you charge attack or use her skill and when she use her skill she goes into healer mode and use more damage for seven or six hits I hope this helps

Jean is the perfect pair for Furina, though Kazhuha and another healer works well too. Though its better to have your main healing and swirl be the same, so Jean is better. Plus it fress Kazhua up for other teams. I'd invest in Jean. Plus shes a standard character so you might just end up with cons of her down the line.
Came back to genshin, won 50/50, and did a few pulls on the weapon banner, accidentally got her sword. Genshin be giving me luck after returning
java heres furina's kit in 7 words, (hydro Bennett when whole party gets healed, ) add jean and furina into any team to turn it into the best team imaginable, just give her ER and use her ult and make sure all party is above 60% hp at all times, don't use her healing cuz u have jean.
Java you could grind the Narcissus quests to get the free Narzissenkreuz sword, it's the most painful quest-chain and we all know you love pain!

I tried Furina taser and it works great with Kazuha and another electro and another hydro
She works well with about 80% of the current roster. I would say using Bennett and Xiangling with her is painful because of Bennett’s stupid circle

I layed out a guide to Furina, building her, and making a team for her (I havent watched the video yet, only 5 minutes in)
Furina Build:
Aim for 40k HP to max her passive, her skill and burst damage also scales with HP
Her bis artifact set is Golden Troupe 4pc
Use HP sands, HP or Hydro Goblet (HP Goblet is easier to build with, and can scale better with the 4pc Golden Troupe set), CD/CR Circlut (Easier if you have a CR circlut)
