Looking at the getting the st line X model, the amount of stuff you get with it is incredible for the money.

Hello, your review is very informative.
I’m looking at buying a 70 plate 1.5 diesel ecoblue st line kuga. I do 12-15000 miles a year so I’m not expecting the dpf to be an issue. However, friends say it won’t be very economical because the smaller engine means I’ll have to rev if more to get up to and maintain speed on the motorway. Is this right?
I’m not a car enthusiast so that’s why I’m asking. Thanks for reading 👍

my personal opinion but, I've never owned a diesel and never plan on buying one in the future also im a die hard japanese car enthusiast,
you may wanna type your car model and make into google and search car forums or try searching reddit or youtube,
i really hope you find the answer for your vehicle mate

We had no issue with the smaller engine at all, it still has plenty of torque so pulls well. My issues with this car were on my part, it wasn't a good fit for our lifestyle. Our current Tesla is, but that won't be ideal for someone who is constantly pulling a caravan or commuting in remote areas.

When you got the prompt to go for a drive and clear the filter , did it clear it every time and how long did this take ?

It always cleared after about 15 minutes of driving. We live not far from some dual carridgeways which helps. I'd recommend avoiding this car, and any modern diesel if you are doing regular short journeys or sitting in start stop traffic.

@@chr15b that's great thanks for the reply, yeah the driving I do should be fine for giving the car a run . I had a problem with a previous car (honda CRV) where the filter would not clear and cost me a fortune to replace but good to know the one on the ford did clear after a prompt.
