Good vid mate I am thinking on getting one soon a 1.5 diesel currently have a duster, looking at a 2017/2018 model, good to see a fellow Glaswegian 👍🏼💪🏼all the best
Absolutely no regrets Shaun, we've done just over 1,000 miles in the new car and find it much better. Getting over 100 miles extra to the same tank too. I think it's a much better engine for this car.
Hi Chris, Good Video, I have the Titanium X Sport with exactly the same engine in the car as you have, it surprised me to hear you say that you get low 20s around town, my around town is around 33-35 MPG and on a long drive it goes up to around 44 MPG, we have had it for 4 years now and were thinking of changing to the new Kuga but on looking at the interior it is not to our liking, our Kuga has everything that ford made to put on the car and to find a kuga with all the same bits on it is a no no,
Glad you like it Terence, we liked it too but not with that particular engine. We have a new model now (MK3/21 Reg) with the 1.5 EcoBlue (120hp) engine and automatic gearbox and find it's a much better choice. The spec of the car has increased also - we have the same ST-Line but it came with the B&O Audio Package, LED Headlights, Reversing Camera, Lane Assist and Electronic Tailgate as standard.
Hi I've searched everywhere on Google. Can't find the answer I'm looking for. I'm buying a 1.5l ecoboost 150 hp ford Kuga 69plate. I want to know exactly how many miles I am likely to get out of a full tank and ideally how it costs to fill up. Don't need to know mpg though thanks. Appreciate any info you have
You can do the math. The car has tank around 13 gallons I’m sure - you’ll find that on Google. Peoples experiences will vary depending on driving style etc.
Hi there! I own the same kuga as you. Bought new in 2020 because it was sale for models from late 2019. Only difference is that mine is automatic. I agree that this engine lacks of power and it’s terrible on mileage. The only thing that i have done it was the ecu tuning from bluefin. And now it puts somewhere around 190hp. No problem with power anymore, but horrible on mileage. I get about 10-11/100km city driving ;( Despite that overall i think it’s a great car, enjoying driving it :)
Great video mate couldn’t agree with you more on the car the one I have is 2019 kuga auto 4x4 1.5 petrol 180bhp it’s a great car but like you said fuel consumption is awful had mines 7 months now and can’t get it better than 27mpg but other things make it worth it but really enjoy the car and hope you make a new vid of your new car 👍
Cheers Andrew. Yeah they are brilliant cars. I'll make a video about our current one soon, it's the third generation Kuga with a 1.5 EcoBlue and Auto box.
I actually ordered mines way in advance Shaun - ordered it in November 2020 but told them I didn't need it until mid-April. It was available to me from the start of March (Registered as a 21 plate) but they held onto it for me.
@@chr15b thanks viewing one on friday , we only really drive round town make 5 miles trips and couple times down south a year what you think best option diesal or petrol & what the difference between the zetec and the st line thanks for replying :)
The fuel consumption really is terrible. I have exactly the same model and I only get 26 miles to the gallon. It’s generally a decent car but I will be looking forward to handing this back to the lease company in a few months time and getting something more efficient on fuel.

I still need to find the time to make it Shaun, hopefully soon. Just went over 1,000 miles so I can comment on some good and bad points.
@@chr15b I hope there’s not many bad points 😂
Can I ask was this car the AWD model or the 2WD 150bhp. I'm just looking at buying one ATM
Mines was the 2WD 150bhp model.
Hi bud is it easy to change the speed o to degital for the mph ??? My eyes no that good now
Very easy yeah, three or four presses on the steering wheel.

I think the diesel is a good choice for this car. Enjoy it mate. 👍

@@chr15b does it have enough power for car being just 120bhp
Plenty, the increased torque makes it pull a lot better and it will initially feel more powerful than the Ecoboost.
Nice 1 mate can’t wait for it but got to wait 14-18 weeks for it
How do you find hill starts, I have to really get the revs up to go anywhere

I'm gutted about the petrol consumption and the torque, I really want/wanted this model don't know what to do now?.
Great video thanks.
I'd suggest driving one and see how you feel Peter. I just shared my opinion, you may not feel the same as me. :-)

Would you recommend for family car & miles per gallon really that bad roy d town
Great family car, a bit sluggish to move off due to the lack of torque and not a wise engine choice if you're doing a lot of miles.

Maybe because the car only has 10k miles and isn't run in yet.The mpg might improve over time
