Awesome content Alex! Love it all. I’ve learned a lot since following you so thank you for that. Looking forward to seeing what the gen3 will do with the ess kit and what the zr1 will do with the mods you have coming for that as well. Stay blessed. Catch ya next time.
That’s gettin’ after it sir! Do you have any plans to do some 1/4 mile runs via NA and with the ESS? It would be very interesting to see what kind of times it lays down at the strip. Thanks.
yo, greetings from brazil, i have a mustang gt 10auto here, does e85 / flex in US does have a little % of water? im looking for a flex / gas 85 (he have a gasoline of 87oct with 25~27 ethanol) , i dont know which one to choose. can u help me sort it out ? there is no good tunning companies here..
Alex if you consistently run a good quality e85 day after day on the flex tune will it learn its way up to match the race tune or is the flex tune timing still that much more conservative?
The flex is always learning and if you don’t let it sit drive nice after refueling it will learn in between or the car will idle a little choppy etc.. should run the e85 dedicated tune as long as your on e85.
This seems slow all around doesn’t it? Isn’t he in florida at sea level too? I have lunds flex on my 19 10 speed with the normal mods (kooks longtubes,JLT, e85 lund flex, factory active exhaust) and it runs 8.9-9.5 with around 78-82 ethanol rating. I’m in MN at around 1700 altitude.
@@YDBT4LIFE after my car comes out of storage here in MN I’ve gotta load up the E85R and send you a data log since I ran the flex most of summer and didn’t run the dedicated e85r too much. I am probably out of free revisions etc since I purchased the tuner and tune around 8 months ago?So how much is it to send you a log to just take a peek and make sure it’s where it needs to be?
@@cormaro13 At WOT the imrc's are fully open so idk why you think having lockouts basically having the manifold already at max flow would be restrictive? They are used to help tune low rpm driveability. Nothing to do with performance once you go WOT.
Do you have a solution for the 2019 GT clutch grind? If I shift around 5000 rpm, as the rpms drop I get this nasty grind. Plenty of people have documented it. Stock clutch/flywheel issue?
Great video but all it goes to prove is that the flex tune could be better. You need to add more spark based on ethanol % and you could also allow the spark to add more and increase the rate of spark added with the knock sensors. We do this all the time with ecoboost tuning. It takes more work in the file and you also want to use OAR/LOR to scale more spark in. It’s much easier to add the spark in and make a dedicated e85 tune but a flex tune can achieve the same if tuned correctly..most companies don’t provide as well but the people that self tune really dig deep into the file and spend more time on the files
Yes but not for hire..I do ecoboost for hire. Much of the oar logic is the same. Everything is more involved with boost so making a N/A coyote have a flex tune the same as an e85 tune isn’t terribly difficult. Much of the logic wasn’t available in the gen 1 but it is on the newer ones
Ok. Well if you can offer bad ass flex tunes that perform just like E85 tunes and have the ability to Lower timing on pump gas on the same tune. You can make millions. I suggest you try it.
You don’t have to get defensive but I figured you would..I’m just saying people already do that with coyotes and ecoboost. The logic is already there. Use the oar/Lot scalars. Self tuners often put more detail in their files due to lack of time restraints. The stock tunes already do this you just have to modify it for a wider range . When the oar value rises more spark will get scaled out …it’s what you are already doing with the flex tune just have to take it fuether

It definitely sounded a lot smoother. Great video.
Nice. After watching this I’m not to disappointed that my E85R, tune only car went 10.8s 60-130.

So why can't the car be programmed to run Flex with the E-85R tune?
Also, what would happen if you have an E-85R tune but fill up with 93?
That rear seat delete kit is nice 🔥
