Here we are in 2022 and the 3rd Gen coyote is really shining. 850hp on a stock motor, absolutely nothing needed to put a blower on, 10 speed still kills and with just bolt ons you’re in the 500’s easily
Back in the original 5.0 days we thought 350-360rwtq with the long runner cobra intake was a really high number out of 302 cubic inches. The shorter runner victor 5.0 could make more high end power but reduced torque. It's crazy that the DOHC is making a rwtq that a well build 350 would do.
mine was the same way. I had to drive around for a little bit for the fuel to read properly. after it read properly the e85r had more timing than the flex fuel tune.
If I understand Lund correctly the flex fuel tune is using a combo of pump gas with ethanol mixed in. e85 is just that and e85r should have a higher content of ethanol.
That's impressive...i have 15gt 50th yr...18 mani lockouts..bbk LT...cat delete...pmas cai..lund soft tune...x pipe..twin tip mufflers shelby...425hp rwhp...im not happy...lund wants another $300 for retune flex...but i also need 47lb injectors...+$300 again
You ran e85 with the 18 manifold with the stock 2015 injectors? I was told it was 100% necessary to at least get 47lb injectors if I want to run e85 after switching my 2016 to the 18 manifold
csr801996 even though it’s well known, it’s pretty crazy a 305 ish cubic inch motor NA with 3 mods makes 500 to the tires. Surprises me every time. Great little motor. And great torque
It's not really insane to think a brand new car that's DOHC makes more power than push rod technology from decades ago with some simple mods. Solid runs though
The stainless works quiet mufflers have flow issues too btw, not sure if thats the model he has on the V. Race proven motorsports has a video showing the stainless work mufflers took away like 80 hp due to bad flow.

On American muscle headers run for $1,500-1,800, catback, $1,500-$1,650, tune & intake bundle, $950. Not including labor cost or a good set of tires to put the power to the ground.
RaceRed302 needs time to read the e85. He drives around for a bit gets it flowing and comes back bet he makes more power than the flex tune. It’s going to be under the curve tho not really peak
Does anyone have gen 3 coyote cyllinder head flow numbers? I have like 289CFM@.500" lift, but that's the same number that was around for gen 1 and gen 2. I have to believe part of the power gain was improved cyllinder head flow and it would be higher than that.
Likely the issue with E85R tune is ethanol % content not high enough. I have an 18 GT with Lund E85 flex tune. I was told by Matt that to run the R tune I need ethanol content of at least 85%. Pump E usually isn't that high. C85 from VP would likely make a big difference. Expensive though. Get an ethanol content tester to check pump gas to find out. You can buy one for about $15. FWIW.
