The site shows the replacement motor for my bike (NTEX02117NB.3) is part # 412767. Would that be the newer quiet motor? The only reason I want to replace mine is to get the new quiet motor.
That model uses an AC lift motor. AC lift motors are not interchangeable with the DC lift motors that are found on later models of this bike. The DC lift motors are the ones I think you are referring to as being quieter.
Hello, I am not sure if the problem is the motor or the control panel. The incline/decline stoped moving , as soon as I put it a part and tested the motor without been attached to the bike, it does work, but when I attached, does not move , it just make a noise , a couple clicks , then nothing. I tried to calibrate it to, it does do it when the bike is not attached only. 😔 Any suggestions 🙏🏻
If the motor extends and retracts when not connected to the machine. then it sems like there may be something physically keeping the unit from being able to move up and down.
@@FitnessEquipmentHelp that was my first thought, I loosed all bolts a little bit, put some grease everywhere, and nothing happened 😞. Maybe something got screwed up on the board 🤔. I got this bike used and they told me that the resistances don’t work, checked the connections and saw that the resistance connector was put inverted, (colors of the cables), so I flipped and resistant stated working 😊. I noticed that the resistant moves too with the inclination , so maybe got crazy on the board for having those cables connected the wrong way ?
@@hugocontreras4067 Depending on the unit the wires to the resistance motor may be in a harness that reverses the yellow and blue wires and the red and black wires. This is done so they can use the Same motor in different applications. In any case this should not have any effect on the incline unless the resistance bracket is interfering with the frame when it tries to decline. I don't think it could cause a failure in the board. I think it is possible that the motor may have failed. Seems the board is working if the motor runs when not attached.
I know this is a bike but I have a Norditrack Commercial 1750 that recently decided to stop having power to the display. I checked the power and used a meter and power is coming in. When I took off the cover and looked at the board, there is one red light. That light does nothing, no blinking or color. Is the board my issue?
Not at this time. However once the left side cover is removed it is a matter of 4 screws and a few wire connections. There are no other adjustments necessary. If you are concerned about where to put the wires on the new board. take a picture or write down where the wires are on the old board and plug them into the new board in the same place.
@@FitnessEquipmentHelp would really appreciate a video for replacing the controller board for this bike. My brand new bike does not work and apparently there is a problem with the controller board. New part has been ordered, I am yet to receive it. Hence looking for a video on how to replace the controller board.
@@pujakamath3665 once the side covers are removed as shown in this video the board is replaced by removing 4 Phillips head screws and disconnecting the wire harnesses. I will try to get a video as soon as conditions allow. I think you will find it a strait forward replacement once the side shields are removed.
The console on my S22i Studio bike NTEX02121.8 will not light up, it is dark. I have done several factory resets without luck. I have noticed when i get on bike, the manual resistence buttons on handlebars do not work. Does my monitor console need to be working in order for those manual resistence buttons to work? I am just wondering if there is a bigger issue here other than my console does not work...........could I need a new motor for the overall bike? I called Ifit support but very frustrating. Extremely kind person but definately a communication barrier, I don't think she was understanding what I was telling her. I just got this bike about a year ago. Can anyone help in troubleshooting. The bike monitor console is dark and the manual buttons do not seem to be working despite the monitor console being dark.
Yes the console needs to be powered on for the buttons to work. Make sure the power supply is plugged in and the cord from the wall into the power supply is tight. there should be a green light on the power supply. If the light is on then, unless you have damaged a wire by moving or dis-assembeling the bike (not likely), you may need a new lower control board or console. (Lower control board is more likely in my experience.)
I have the replacement motor. However the shaft is a bit too short to connect. I didn’t buy this bike to be a mechanic. Not happy with it lay this point
I have the same Nordictrack S22i which I purchased about a month ago and starting last week, whenever the elevation would adjust the back of the machine would make a bang or clunk noise (not all the time, but sometimes). It feels like the machine is settling or something. A few days ago, in addition, whenever elevation would change I also hear a grinding noise. The elevation changes normally, the noise is unsettling. Do you think it's my motor going bad?
Were you ever able figure out what was causing the noise? I'm dealing with the same issue, (no grinding just the snap/bang). Contacted customer service, they recommended I remove the plastic covers to see if I could determine what was "hitting" the motor...gave me the link to this video. I got everything off, ran the incline and decline, managed to get the noise but couldn't determine it's origin.
@@Barni501 I'm sorry I don't. The odd thing is that after I put everything back together I no longer had the bang.....that is up until about a week ago :-( The one adjustment I made when i had all the covers off is that I noticed the eyelet on the rod that connects the motor to the frame was turned to one side so I adjusted it to line up straight....probably just coincidence that the noise went away.
Ditto. Not sure, but I think it's just a terrible design. Only about 1/8th inch if that, for the wrench to grab onto. I think it winds up rounding off almost immediately. Have to have them send me a new one to replace the one I'm going to have to drill out.
I don’t know what happened but my wheel fell to the front bar stabilizer when I released the m8x32mm bolt that connects the incline motor to the frame. Unfortunately I did not need to dismantle to this point at all. All I needed was to change the controller on the left wheel side. I managed to get it back together although it required me to manually hold the front of the bike up to align the bolt to attach to the frame. I do not know what happened! The wheels don’t move bc the front wheel is still against the front bar. Why did this fall like this for me? Please help!
Pretty sure I’m having this same issue. At 4:34 when he connects the spindle it is short and then suddenly it fits. Mine is too short snd not fitting. How did you get it long enough to reach?
@@matthewmurfitt I was eventually able to get it. Thank you! Now I am struggling to get the bolt in. It doesn’t seem to line up with the threads and won’t go all the way through. Any tips?
@@HeyitsSHEA19 you can use a thinner lead punch or something to the like to help line everything up. It might help to get a hand and have someone take pressure off the bolt while you try to guide it.
The covers won't come off on my bike. It is as if both sides as still attached at the bottom even though I have completely unscrewed it. Has anyone else had this problem???
there are some screws that are only accessible from 1 side of the bike. I would just double check that there still isn't just one screw on the right side on the bottom holding the two shields together. Just in case :)

to remove the left crank arm loosen the 2 crank arm clamping bolts with the included 5mm Allen key. Then loosen the crank arm screw. it uses a 3mm Allen key. with the screw removed and the bolts loosened the arm will slide right off of the axle. I Hope that helps :)
Manual says M6 and you say M5. It's definitely not M6 as that's too big to fit into the screw. M5 wallows around and has roundedd off the head. I've broken 2x allen wrenches already. Why is this such a pain in the ass? I want to exercise, not become a god damn mechanic.

Why change parts on a fairly new bike or does this model have alot of defaults
