    Thanks for this recipe. I have been craving a burger. FYI-you can buy wheat gluten in the bulk at Whole Foods and it is so much less expensive, and nutritional yeast. Also Kroger Worcester sauce is vegan.

    Holy moly...that’s the best vegan burger I’ve ever seen!!! Now this right here, this right here, will make me go and buy vital wheat gluten!! I can’t wait to find the updated post.     This looks so good. Have you thought to add beefless bouillon to it? What brand cheese was that it melted beautifully.

    Thanks for this recipe. It looks delicious. But I don't have that kind of grill. If I sear it in a skillet, is 5 minutes on each side good? Or will that overcook it in the centre? I have heard that even slight overcooking of seitan makes it rubbery. Don't want to mees it up.

    You know how wih seitan you usually have to knead it into submission for about 5 minutes? Did u have to do that with this burger. I find that if i dony my seitan has a more chewy sponge like taste. Look rrally good. My husband is transitioning into a vegetarian and im looking for more "meat like" foods to make him. Thanks for the vids

    Made this exactly. Soon as I put it in the broth to simmer it fell apart. Whts up with tht

      You may need to knead your dough a different amount, seitan is pure gluten and gluten needs to be worked in order to activate. You may have not activated it enough (need to knead it more) resulting in it falling apart. I make seitan quite frequently and avoid this problem by kneading my dough 😊

    I tried this but all the onions and mushrooms kept falling out and it wouldn't hold together to form a burger patty

    I just tried this recipe and it was an epic fail for me. The seitan broke up and it was to mushy. I put the 1/2 cup water in the seitan. Which seemed to be to much.
