Just got fit into a tsr3 with a TR Black 7x. Tightest dispersion I’ve ever tested and brought my smash factor from 1.48 in a 2012 Rombax 75x to a 1.51. I’m sold on technology.

I’m currently testing the Red TR 6x and Blue TR 6x models and from initial swings, they’re very smooth yet stable.

which one do you like more over the other and what swingspeed is the x designed for?

I have the Blue 6x in my driver, blue TR 7s in 3W, and had tried a 6x TR Red in my driver also. With my swing, the TR blue in the 3W times up just right to give me good launch and contact, and I historically struggled with 3W. I tend to favor the blue over the TR red in the driver because I tend to get a bit quick in transition and find the stiffer tip of the blue prevents the hook more often where the TR red whips through. On solid hits, the blue and TR red are indistinguishable. Same launch spin and ball speed.

In no world is a 155mph ball speed carrying 270, except at elevation.
I have TM4, MLM2, and Top Tracer data to show with a range ball I’m between 170 & 175mph… and 280-290 is the carry.

( I am 58 years old...90-94 mph swing speed....130-140 mph ball speed..hit a high ball usually fairly straight and am a 9-11 handi cap ) which shaft might suit me best ( which flex and which weight ? )

Try the Ventus Red TR 5S and play a ball with less spin than whatever you're playing now. You'll gain clubhead speed and ball speed and with a lower spinning ball your flight will be in a better trajectory window and basically give you a few more yards. I tested this shaft and I'm 59 and have 97 clubhead speed with same balls speeds as you but need the increased launch cuz I play the Cobra LTDX LS which is a ridiculously low spin head.

@@cryptoking8060 I am 58. Have TSI3 and before that a Cobra LTDx LS. Just changed into Tensei blue ck 70 tx (Cobra) and Tensei black 1k 70 tx (TSI3). Low launching in both. Ball speed 138-147. Getting fairly frustrated. They are okay. I know I need to work on me to get into the 280yd arena consistently.
I am now convinced I need to look very close at the Ventus TR blue and Ventus TR black.

@@johnpaton8047 Titleist heads do spin more so your launch will improve. I play Reg usually but after a fitting found the stiff ventus red TR was unreal. Use the LTDX head not the LS, couldn't get thing airborne lol. This combo is a beast for me way longer than my SIM with the Diamana. I built this setup based on my home course. Don't need to fly it all the way. No forced carries off the tee. Love this setup and ridiculously forgiving. To the point of feeling like I'm cheating! Good luck on your build.

I'm playing blue tr in my driver and it is noticibly stiffer in the handle. The dispersion however just went tighter. I was playing black and the switch to blue tr was a no Brainer from a performance standpoint. Im putting a red tr 8x in my three wood. I think it's going to be a real weapon. 6 across and 4 shut is going to go right RB that's just how physics works.

That swing is not great. It isn't the shaft.
Also pretty dumb to use a two swing sample size after deleting shots. That said, the Blue didn't perform at all for him

The real world challenge here is that the Ventus won’t make it into a lot of amateur bags at the current price point. I’ve contacted two fitters recently and it’s a $500 shaft only option in the UK. That’s $180 more than an Oban, Project X or Mitsubishi.
