You would probably gain more top speed if current wasn't passed through a Tamiya battery connector. If you have a non contact thermometer, read the temperature of the battery connector vs it's surroundings after a couple passes. It's going to be much warmer, heat is wasted energy. This drains your battery quicker as well.
Nice work slowly getting there but it's not as easy as it looks to go faster. I'm running a tamiya TZ motor a 63t pinion and 25 spur gear and it's a lot faster. I have a 31 and 33T but yet to try as I need to get a speed meter first.
@@rctamiyaaddict4687 I don't have that issue here in Malaysia it's always 30 degrees Celsius 365 and if it rains it's never more than an hours or 2. I just got back from Belgium yesterday I went for work and I just happy to be warm again 😀
Nice work! I just acquired my 1st tt02 used, it came with a 12t motor. I made a video about it on my channel if you're interested in watching. I subbed as well cause your content is top notch sir. Keep up the awesome work.
Just fitted that motor to my tt02 with the tamiya speed tuned gear set. Much faster but keeps cutting out after a few minutes and the tamiya tbl02 esc is really hot. If I turn off and on again it's fine for a few minutes then does it again. Any ideas?? Do I need to change my gearing ratio to stop it over heating do you think
oh wow you have found a great motor there. And it went really smooth, no wobbly driving
what is the pinion/spur ?
29 pinion and 64 spur

Thank you for the advice, always welcome.

Nice. Just added the 63t spur but the weather here is naff. Hopefully will get another run in soon.

I will check it out. Thank you.
Looks like you got a great deal and hitting 39.5 too. Just subbed 👍🏻
Hi are you using the stock tamiya esc with this 12t motor?
Yes, just the one that came supplied.
@rctamiyaaddict4687 ideal thanks

I’m no expert on gear ratios and esc’s but I think you might have to if it’s over heating.
