Take your pups to puppy school to socialize them at an early age and for you to learn how to do basic dog training otherwise they may develop bad hard to break habits. My 10 week old schnauzer walks up to 3 km a day off the leash which gives her lots to think about and burns energy

My schnauzers even though small, they are pullers. I finally purchased a harness that has a ring on the top back as well as the front. It was a game changer. For first part of the walk when she is full of energy and tugging I place at front wring. As they PULL AND TUG, It will slightly twist them, not hurting. It immediately stops the tugging. Towards the end of the walk as she is tired out, I place in the back. If she doesn’t tug I leave it on the back. If she does, I move it to the front. Now 3 years later she walks in sync with us. Part of the reason I started doing this she developed a hack cough from the collar pressing on her trechia. It was causing almost permanent cough gag reflex. Within a few days of changing to a harness’s the chocking and ga reflex stopped. Also my schnauzers all couldn’t do the pup cups. I treat her once a month if that. My vets all told me it is solid sugar and milk which is pretty hard for a lot of schnauzer who tend to have allergies. I’m so jealous of your puppy stage. What a great dog

Could the dog breath under that blanket? I feel like there wouldn’t be enough air

Yes, He is in a bigger cage now, but we still cover it with a blanket to block out light. He is perfectly fine, and it's a normal thing to do for most caged animals at night. The blanket is very thin as well, it's not like a quilt.

Love your puppy vlog! I’m getting my first schnauzer this weekend and I’m very nervous but excited! Just a tip, we fed my old dog that passed a few years ago Ol Roy and at the time the DR. Said it’s not very good and similar to feeding your dog McDonald’s. The breeder for our new pup recommended Purina Pro or the Hills brand!

OMG CONGRATS on your new pup! I know Ol Roy isn't the best, that's why we mostly feed cooked food like ground chicken and vegetables. But on the off chance the cooked food isnt available, and we have to feed him dry dog food..we don't want him to get an upset stomach. All that to say, we feed him a little of the bad stuff just in case it's the only thing available.
