  • An environment that helps business to flourish and a lifestyle with balance. Whether your motivation is professional or personal, your experience will be positive, enjoyable and worthwhile. Just like life in Guernsey.
Four recent locators tell us about their experience moving to Guernsey. www.locateguernsey.com
Thanks to talented local filmmaker James Harrison: www.jamesharrison.gg. Also to DroneGSY for the aerial shots.

Our Glaswegian working class parents brought us here in 1967 after my father secured a job on leaving compulsory military service in the RAF in Cyprus with the intention of staying 5 years. We're still here. I have travelled to many countries and experienced many different cultures but I will never leave our beautiful haven. Yes, it's been labelled a tax haven but that's not why I've chosen to remain and I could argue that point with some personal experience but choose not to in this forum. The scenery, the culture, the history, the safety, the people, the cuisine and the sweet smelling air are just some of the things that I have never found anywhere else all in one place. I love our 25 square mile "rock".

You live in nz, id love to live in nz why would you want to live on a tiny island that is no where near as amazing as new zealand. Guernsey will eventually be overpopulated and ruined by human greed anyway. That wont happen in new zealand.

@@anthonyrooksmith3189 New Zealand isn't as good as it seems, as with all places poverty is struck quite harshly here as a majority of adults in the work environment are working way harder to meet the average amount they would need to live on a daily basis. Although a beautiful country i will admit, it lacks a Government that can sufficiently provide an answer to the problem no one has really solved (Raising the people below the poverty line and decreasing the people above it). Its only partially our Governments fault as well but our Country is filled with countless problems as all places are. Gangs are also really big here and dictate a lot of the crime rate as with all places and in New Zealand a majority of Youth tend to join these scenes because families aren't wealthy because of how expensive everything is and cant provide for them hence finding family in a Gang that can. Will probably be a big culture shock too unless you have been to Australia before, but Honestly if you choose to travel here its an amazing place if you search for the right places to go e.g - Milford Sound (One of the best Lake/Mountain views in the world), Queens town (Beautiful views and is very prosperous), Tauranga (One of my favorite destinations to swim and go to the beach and New Zealand has some amazing beaches, Definitely one of many as a beaches as they are generally within 30 minutes reach anywhere), Auckland, Christchurch, Rotorua. Definitely search Milford Sound online, Its amazing there honestly.
Sorry for giving you a full response on something you didn't ask for bahaha,
Honestly I'm bored and since in live here i might as well let you know a rough summary of the good and the bad in New Zealand, but there's so much to do here if you look, Especially extreme sports but ill leave that for you to find..
      Kind Regards

@@xavierwehi that’s a very interesting account, we only get shown the very best of NZ on videos and are led to believe it’s a paradise on earth so this is an eye-opener.

Can’t even afford to live a decent quality of life in my hometown of Birmingham, no chance of moving to Guernsey. Appears it’s for the lucky elite as usual.

Im just south of Birmingham and not the lucky elite and neither is my daughter.
My daughter got a job permit and lives and works in Guernsey.
I move there in a few weeks.
Again... we arent the lucky elite.
If an employer wants you, you get a permit and then qualify for the cheaper local property market.
