    How is a month "Long-Term"? No Wonder people think you're supposed to upgrade these yearly.

    • @AppleInsider
      @AppleInsider  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +25

      A month is far more longer term than the ones that come out on launch day - which is most of them. They, at best, have it for a week. At worst, they’ve had it for a day and publish a “review.” After years of doing these, there’s nothing I learn after 6 months versus a month.

      @@AppleInsiderif that’s true then you would buy a 256 GB model, then after a month, you fill it until you have no storage left. Then you convince yourself you already knew this is how it is supposed to be. I guess you are the best driver you will ever be in 4 weeks. What a load of bs.

    • @AppleInsider
      @AppleInsider  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @@MultiMam12345 woah now. Storage is entirely subjective. Some people use 50GB some use 1TB. I'm not going to pretend I know how much storage everyone will need. Personally, I have a 256GB iPad mini that is just fine for its use and -- before this -- I use a 1TB iPad Pro and I have about 400GB left. So I know my storage needs based on editing video and RAW photos. Plus some games.

      in that case, always get the lightest colour. scratches less visible AND lighter colours actually reduce thermal issues. I heard apple always uses the light models of devices when conducting any kind of testing.

    As an iPad Air 5 owner, I've been thinking the same as you: it's not worth getting the new one. Yet. After WWDC, and we see what's new in iOS and the software - especially the AI - and which hardware you'd need for the experience and features you want, then it might just be worth it after all.

I would also like to know if the speakers in the iPad Air are good as the ipad pro 10.5 in., it has 4 speakers, what about the iPad Air? Plus I rather have a touch screen. Do I need to get the keyboard which initially never used it for the 10.5 in ipad pro?

    wait wait wait… isn’t ‘Air’ line supposed to have better screen than vanilla iPad? My brother have iPad 10th gen, and we were comparing specs and they are literally the same (screen-wise) between these 2 models. is that accurate? because I wont overpay 250€ (in Europe) for something with same screen? I only use iPad for media consumption (Netflix, YT, some card games) so I don’t really need m2 cpu

    • @MrOldskool1974

      They aren’t the same screen. The new Air uses a fully laminated display which makes it much nicer to use than the 10th Gen which is not fully laminated and makes the display seem to sit further away under the glass.

    $599 for any make tablet that only has a 60hz refresh rate in 2024 needs to be called out more. It's shocking Apple are doing this. No excuses.

    • @Necca_UK
      @Necca_UK 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    • @stecallaghan
      @stecallaghan 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@Necca_UK Apple of course are not the only company who can offer this - some offer similar longevity for updates to base models such as Samsung. Plus you get all that with the cheapest iPad - so IMHO anything that is pitched at $599 with a 60Hz refresh rate in 2024 is poor. I’m not an Apple hater - I own Android and Apple devices both mid and high range - it is because of this I see that Apple is cash grabbing from their customers and short changing them. The lack of backwards compatibility for the new models for accessories is a pure cash grab. They could even have given the new Air a 90Hz refresh rate - they chose not to again.

I'm going to wait until I need to upgrade the Ipad and will keep checking reviews of the Air before I do. I use with Magic keyboard and Pencil so it will be a pricey upgrade. BTW--I use a case on my Ipad so I don't care about color TBT. I'll also comment that I don't care if it is boring---if it works as well as my 2021, that's fine.
