Thank you for this video. I feel so inspired to finally stop dying my hair and embrace my grey! I am so excited. I have been so afraid and have been hiding my grey for years. But I now realise that this has to stop. I would never have even considered this before viewing your channel. It is my birthday in a couple of days. Hi. I’ve embraced my natural gray for years now. I use curling creams to play with my natural curl pattern.
However, I’m nervous about flat ironing my hair because the heat does dull or “yellow “ my gray. I’d love to straighten my hair to mix it up. Can you share how-to pro tips? Thanking you in advance.
Sounds great! Well…the main pro tips are
1. I highly recommend is to use flat irons at a moderate temp and don’t use marcel irons.
2. Use a blow drying agent on the hair prior to blow drying
3. Use a styling agent on the hair before using heat.

Good day. I have to tell you that I've watched several of your videos during the last year and a half. Toying with the decision to go grey. I have resisted even cutting my hair because I don't like to spend a lot of time doing hair. Having a perm since high school made my life easy. Two recent events renewed my latent thought to go grey. /first, the last perm I had put in left my hair in a very damaged condition and I realized I won't be doing myself any good to continue subjecting myself to chemical alterations to my natural hair. Secondly, my daughter ,age 45, passed after a long illness. I realized that "everything must change, nothing stays the same" as Bernard Unger wrote. So, at 76 yrs, I had the straggling perm cut off. My hair grew so much, It was a problem to fit my wigs on. One afternoon I was late for an appointment and just decided to just 'go with it'. I was taken aback by the favorable comments others made! I plan to send Pat's inspiring transformation to my hairdresser to get her ideas on how to refine my look. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT!!

I wanted to wear my own gray hair after seeing someone at the salon I used to go to that looked fabulous with her grey hair. My hair was just starting to come in but I stopped going to the salon and just started to wear my natural hair. My hair is now beautifully gray but I love her cut because that is how I used to wear my hair. I know that this cut would be very becoming on me too. Thanks to you and Pat for sharing!!

I have a question I am a fair skinned and very fair skinned and I went grave at one time and I looked in the mirror and I look like I was 95 years old it did not become me so I was willing to try it but it don't it's no contrast there if I was darker skin yeah I could do it but I'm fair skinned and it don't look right

And the naturally curly look all depends on how you like your curls. It’s hard to put a time on it. And a great part of it is using the ‘correct’ amount and type of product for your hair type. Most types need to be pretty saturated to properly enhance the curl regardless of the product you use.
Ultimately, when you lay on it, it may need to be refreshed.
And to be honest, most people with natural hair (in my experience) generally wet their hair everyday to refresh. 😩

Are you allergic to temporary hair color wax? I put a pretty rose gold color in just the front of my hair for a fun look. It lasts until you wash it out. A little color with no commitment.
