I’m a big time David Phelps fan, but sometimes as awesome as his voice is, we forget just how incredible Guy Penrod’s range is as well! He’s belting out some crazy high notes too. This GVB combo is my favorite

Here it is, 2022. Most of these singers are retired or semi--retires, but David Phelps just goes on and on.
And he doesn't lose his voice, he is just as good now as he was them.

Without a doubt the greatest tenor I have ever heard. There are some good ones out there, Guy Penrod, Larnell Harris, Steve Green, Wes Hampton to name just a few.
I can't listen to this song and not tear up, lift my hands in the air and marvel at David's anointing God given talent. The scripture based lyrics are so inspired, but David's voice soars to heaven!!!

Fore anyone who didn't see it, a week or so ago, Bill and David both released statements saying that as of April 1st, David will be leaving the Vocal Band to pursue his solo career once again. David said he wanted to focus back on his family again and the grooling concert schedule of the Vocal Band and Homecoming concerts is overwhelming him. He wants to slow down some. I will surely miss his power voice in the Vocal Band, but can completely repect his decision for more family time. Guy Penrod did the ssme thing. Maybe some day in the near future we will see David and Guy both return to make the GVB a powerhouse vocal group as it was when they both were there before. Guy, David, Mark and Bill were my favorite make up of the GVB. What power they brought to the stage.

@@rebeccalitchfield6698 I 100% agree. Russ is BY FAR better. Mark is good and all but should stick with Comedy, but when it comes to singing, Russ is far more superior. Give me Russ, Pinrod, Phelps and Bill ANY day of the week.
