Bill, I just wanted to tell you something very special. I have been fighting Bipolar Disorder for 33 years. I know Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and have trusted Him all my life. I have been praying for the Lord's total healing from that for me. In 2005, I started receiving my healing. You see, my husband and I went to The Holy Land Experience, while in there. The Fisher's Of Men were putting on a concert. At the last, they wrapped up the concert with :"It Is Finished." I felt someone touch me, and I felt a warm flow go from the top of my head all the way through my body. I raised my hands to heaven. I said:"Praise God I am Free!" I am still on medicine, but I KNOW because of what Jesus did for me....that healing is STILL GOING ON! He said:"If I ask ANYTHING in HIS NAME, HE WILL DO IT!" Amen?

It Is Finished The Story Behind the Song by Gloria Gaither Bill and I love to hear great orators as much as we love great literature. It has been our privilege to hear, in person or through the media, many great speakers. We’ll never forget the milestone moment in our nation’s history, for example, when Martin Luther King Jr. delivered the now famous “I Have a Dream” speech. To teach English students the principle of communication, we used the eulogy delivered by Senator Mike Mansfield, of Montana, after Kennedy was assassinated, “And she took a ring and placed it on his finger. . . .” And who could forget ten thousand voices at the Praise Gathering for Believers in Indianapolis affirming in one great voice the truth Tony Campolo had drilled into our very souls: “It’s Friday . . . but Sunday’s coming!” Because we had learned to recognize and appreciate such moments, Bill and I knew that it was a timeless honor to sing at the same service in which nationally known radio orator B. R. Lakin was to deliver a sermon on Jesus’ last words from the cross: “It is finished!” It was hard to forget the way Dr. Lakin ended his message. And the drops of blood from His precious hands seeped into the sand below the old rugged cross and said to the sand, “It is finished.” The grains of sand whispered their message to the blades of grass, “It is finished!” A little bird swooped down and plucked a blade of grass and flew to the top of the pine tree and carried the message to the uppermost branch, “It is finished!” The pine standing like a sentinel raised its branches to the sky and repeated to the forests around and the clouds above, “It is finished!” The heavens echoed the wondrous liberating news, “It is finished!” until the winds blew across the sea and the waves lapping on the shore repeated the message to the farthest oceans, “It is finished!” Bill and I were overwhelmed with the beauty and grandeur of this picture. What was finished? I couldn’t escape the question. How could I ever hope to comprehend the scope of redemption and capture it in a song? For a year I struggled. Bill kept saying, “Honey, we need to write that song.” I said, “Yes, we must. But I’m not ready. I can’t distill this truth into four verses and a chorus. Let me live with it a while longer.” I read and reread the crucifixion story. Insight by insight I made the truths my own. The drink from the Messiah’s cup on the Passover night in the Upper Room; the prayer Jesus prayed for His friends there and for us here. The betrayal by Judas, the denial by Peter. The inquisition, trial, and execution. The amazing last words of Jesus. I considered the implications of the troubling of the forces of nature: the earthquakes, the unnatural darkness, the strange storm. And I worked to comprehend how these chaotic eruptions in the natural realm were used to issue new proclamations in the spiritual realm: a torn barrier to the Holy of Holies, an opening of access to the mercy seat and the awesome presence of God, a redefining of the terms royalty, priesthood, sacrifice, intermediary. At that time our nation was involved in the long and seemingly pointless Vietnam War. When “the conflict” was finally ended, a generation of America’s young had been riddled. This was the only war I had known well. I was born after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and I barely remembered the Korean War. War-the cross of Jesus was about war, a war of cosmic proportions, the war of the ages. This was a war with a clear objective: freedom for every soul since Eden. The voices and lyrics are wonderful, but what I especially am blessed by is the joy of being saved and loving Jesus that radiates in the faces of every singer performing with the Gaithers. I was gloriously healed by The Lord when being at a "Fisher's of Men Concert at The Holy Land Experience. They sang this song. I had been praying for years to be healed from Bipolar Disorder. I am telling you, The Lord touched my shoulders and my head, then something so warm ran from the top of my head through my whole entire body. The Lord spoke to me and told me that my healing was beginning that day, and would finish in time. I claimed my healing that day. I now have been upgraded from Bipolar to A.D.D. God is so good! Just trust and pray because there really is no other way.
Today is October 21 , David’s birthday . I pray for him everyday that God use him for His glory throughout the world . God made David to be born this generation for one purpose for saving and reaching many souls for His kingdom . In 2012, I took an homeless man Anthony to apply to disability benefits and on the way to the social security office he was listening “ I’ve just seen Jesus “ and asked me to pray for him cause he wanted repent . I never seen anyone crying like him . One month later he died from heart attack at aged of 57 . I am sure that Anthony is in heaven cause marvelous witness by David’s heavenly voice ! Nobody can witness anyone like the voice of David . May God continue watches over his health and guide his steps till God fulfill His purpose for His kingdom .

Yes I love that he doesn't get jealous when the other singers are doing wonderful he just praises the Lord and gets happy. I love that.
it was during this cycle of the GVB tour that they did the Kennedy Center concert not long after the 9/11 tragedy. That is where they performed "Let Freedom Ring" and Bill Gaither said that sing belonged to David and the GVB would not sing it unless David was there to sing it. Bill said no tenor of the group has ever been to own the song like David and that David is the best tenor he has ever heard in his life. That is a HUGE statement coming from a man like Bill Gaither.

For ONLY YOU UNDERSTANDS our tears since YOU LOOK at the heart, while humans look at the flesh. O LOVE that will not let them go. When they don't have the strength to try, and have cried all they can cry hear their hearts that need YOU more today than yesterday. Bill, I just wanted to tell you something very special. I have been fighting Bipolar Disorder for 33 years. I know Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and have trusted Him all my life. I have been praying for the Lord's total healing from that for me. In 2005, I started receiving my healing. You see, my husband and I went to The Holy Land Experience, while in there. The Fisher's Of Men were putting on a concert. At the last, they wrapped up the concert with :"It Is Finished." I felt someone touch me, and I felt a warm flow go from the top of my head all the way through my body. I raised my hands to heaven. I said:"Praise God I am Free!" I am still on medicine, but I KNOW because of what Jesus did for me....that healing is STILL GOING ON! He said:"If I ask ANYTHING in HIS NAME, HE WILL DO IT!" Amen?

Bill and I love to hear great orators as much as we love great literature. It has been our privilege to hear, in person or through the media, many great speakers. We’ll never forget the milestone moment in our nation’s history, for example, when Martin Luther King Jr. delivered the now famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
To teach English students the principle of communication, we used the eulogy delivered by Senator Mike Mansfield, of Montana, after Kennedy was assassinated, “And she took a ring and placed it on his finger. . . .”
And who could forget ten thousand voices at the Praise Gathering for Believers in Indianapolis affirming in one great voice the truth Tony Campolo had drilled into our very souls: “It’s Friday . . . but Sunday’s coming!”
Because we had learned to recognize and appreciate such moments, Bill and I knew that it was a timeless honor to sing at the same service in which nationally known radio orator B. R. Lakin was to deliver a sermon on Jesus’ last words from the cross: “It is finished!”
It was hard to forget the way Dr. Lakin ended his message.
And the drops of blood from His precious hands seeped into the sand below the old rugged cross and said to the sand, “It is finished.” The grains of sand whispered their message to the blades of grass, “It is finished!” A little bird swooped down and plucked a blade of grass and flew to the top of the pine tree and carried the message to the uppermost branch, “It is finished!” The pine standing like a sentinel raised its branches to the sky and repeated to the forests around and the clouds above, “It is finished!” The heavens echoed the wondrous liberating news, “It is finished!” until the winds blew across the sea and the waves lapping on the shore repeated the message to the farthest oceans, “It is finished!”
Bill and I were overwhelmed with the beauty and grandeur of this picture. Afterward, I wasn’t surprised that Bill said, “We’ve got to write a song about that, honey. ‘It Is Finished’-what a great title!”
Even then my mind was exploding, stretching, asking, searching. What was finished? I couldn’t escape the question. How could I ever hope to comprehend the scope of redemption and capture it in a song?
For a year I struggled. Bill kept saying, “Honey, we need to write that song.”
I said, “Yes, we must. But I’m not ready. I can’t distill this truth into four verses and a chorus. Let me live with it a while longer.”
I read and reread the crucifixion story. Insight by insight I made the truths my own. The drink from the Messiah’s cup on the Passover night in the Upper Room; the prayer Jesus prayed for His friends there and for us here. The betrayal by Judas, the denial by Peter. The inquisition, trial, and execution. The amazing last words of Jesus.
I considered the implications of the troubling of the forces of nature: the earthquakes, the unnatural darkness, the strange storm. And I worked to comprehend how these chaotic eruptions in the natural realm were used to issue new proclamations in the spiritual realm: a torn barrier to the Holy of Holies, an opening of access to the mercy seat and the awesome presence of God, a redefining of the terms royalty, priesthood, sacrifice, intermediary.
At that time our nation was involved in the long and seemingly pointless Vietnam War. When “the conflict” was finally ended, a generation of America’s young had been riddled. This was the only war I had known well. I was born after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and I barely remembered the Korean War. Vietnam was my generation’s war-the first war to pull the nation apart rather than unite it. It left both those who served in it and those who refused to serve confused and bewildered and at odds with one another. It was an ambiguous war.
I well remember the night Bill and I sat and wept in our living room as we watched on television the return home of prisoners of war from Vietnam. Some fell to the ground and kissed American soil. Others threw themselves into the arms of waiting parents, wives, and sweethearts who had lived in the fear that these soldiers would never come back. Some hugged their two-, three-, and four-year-old children whom they had never seen. The relief on the faces-the tears, the joy, the hope, the pain-was almost too much to bear.
About that same time Bill and I picked up a major news magazine that carried the story of another American soldier. This man had wandered out of the forest on some secluded island in the South Pacific. He was carrying a rusty weapon and was dressed in what remained of a tattered American uniform. He was suspicious and frightened as authorities took him into custody. The article explained that this was a World War II soldier who had been lost from his company and left behind. No one had ever told him that the Allies had won the war, that he was free to go home, that victory had been declared long ago. All those years he had remained at war in his mind, fighting a battle that had already been won.
The song Bill wanted us to write was falling into place for me.
War-the cross of Jesus was about war, a war of cosmic proportions, the war of the ages. This was a war with a clear objective: freedom for every soul since Eden. It was a war fought on earth where mankind could see it, and a war fought in the unseen world, from the heavens to the very pit of hell. What was finished? I’d asked the question for a year. Bill had the music; now the words would come.
I saw the crack in the earth-caused by the quake that shook Golgotha-as a cosmic split in the universe, a line that divided all history and all time into bc and ad. I began to write:
There’s a line that’s been drawn through the ages;
On that line stands an old rugged cross.
On that cross a battle is raging
For the gain of man’s soul or its loss.
The sides and powers of the conflict were clearly defined. If there ever was a holy war, a righteous cause, this was it. And each of us had major stakes in this war’s outcome.

A defeated enemy is impotent. Every battle-weary soldier must be told: the war is over!
I thought of that poor, bedraggled man peering suspiciously out from the dark forest, afraid to come out into the sunlight, guarding his little island. I saw myself, and I suddenly realized that this is a picture of us all. Because of Jesus, Satan has no power over us unless he can keep us from hearing the news of the victory, unless he can convince us that the war has never been won.
Of all the declarations of freedom-the Magna Carta, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights-none has been written so eloquently or at such great cost in bloodshed as the one spoken in three words from an old rugged cross: It is finished! Every isolated soldier of life’s battle must hear it.
Yet in my heart the battle was raging;
Not all prisoners of war have come home.
These were battlefields of my own making;
I didn’t know that the war had been won.
Then I heard that the King of the Ages

Bill sat down at the piano, played his tune, and sang through the words on the yellow tablet in front of him. Tears ran down our faces as we embraced anew the truth that had set us free. We were coming to know at a sweeter, deeper level what was meant by the words the blade of grass whispered to the bird that day on Golgotha: It is finished!

I was gloriously healed by The Lord when being at a "Fisher's of Men Concert at The Holy Land Experience. They sang this song. I had been praying for years to be healed from Bipolar Disorder. I am telling you, The Lord touched my shoulders and my head, then something so warm ran from the top of my head through my whole entire body. The Lord spoke to me and told me that my healing was beginning that day, and would finish in time. I claimed my healing that day. I now have been upgraded from Bipolar to A.D.D. God is so good! Just trust and pray because there really is no other way.

Today is October 21 , David’s birthday . I pray for him everyday that God use him for His glory throughout the world . God made David to be born this generation for one purpose for saving and reaching many souls for His kingdom .
In 2012, I took an homeless man Anthony to apply to disability benefits and on the way to the social security office he was listening “ I’ve just seen Jesus “ and asked me to pray for him cause he wanted repent . I never seen anyone crying like him . One month later he died from heart attack at aged of 57 .
I am sure that Anthony is in heaven cause marvelous witness by David’s heavenly voice !

it was during this cycle of the GVB tour that they did the Kennedy Center concert not long after the 9/11 tragedy. That is where they performed "Let Freedom Ring" and Bill Gaither said that sing belonged to David and the GVB would not sing it unless David was there to sing it. Bill said no tenor of the group has ever been to own the song like David and that David is the best tenor he has ever heard in his life. That is a HUGE statement coming from a man like Bill Gaither.

YOU SAW them working long and laboring hard to receive the grace by justification even though YOU stated, "This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."(John 6:29 KJV) YOU SAW the unwillingness to accept YOUR PLAN OF SALVATION THROUGH YOUR SON JESUS CHRIST. YOU SAW them living with the guilt of committing crimes to the heart. YOU SAW them enduring personal crisis. YOU SAW the weight of the burden on their hearts with each tribulation. YOU SAW them seeking comfort from the above mentioned topography, ONE OF THE MANY MARVELS YOUR PERFECT HANDS HAVE MADE. 👏👏👏 YOU SAW their worries about tomorrow.
If their hearts were a window that they could look through, oh the pains and scars they would see. What a cruel fate the skin gives as a mask to the inward pain. But the skin couldn’t cover THE SUFFERING YOUR ONE AND ONLY SON BORED on the cross as PAYMENT for all our sins because HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ALONE HAD THE MERIT TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR HOLINESS. Indeed, ONLY HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IS SUFFICIENT TO SAVE us from this present evil world as evidenced by Mary's song of praise. "And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." (Luke 1:46-47 KJV) Awesome thanks to YOUR GREAT PARDON for being easy on the heart. 🥰
They have seen a lot of crazy things done in YOUR NAME. For example, the father of lies futile attempts to make crooked the right ways of the LORD to turn people away from faith in the WORKS OF JESUS CHRIST ALONE. How can anyone bear the thought of his or her life story detracting from the GLORY AND HONOR KNOWN TO BELONG TO CHRIST ALONE? As a consequence, YOU ARE A MYSTERY OF GREAT MYSTERY to them. Despite this conviction, YOU ARE MINDFUL of them as evidenced by the fact that YOUR JUDGEMENT is not speedy, allowing them to pursue the desires of the flesh.
They are aware of hypocrisy in religious assemblies that like to be seen and heard. In addition, secular education teaches that there is no right and wrong, if GOD exists there is no way of relating to HIM, and moral standards shift according to the whims of fashion. Therefore, their minds are conditioned to question everything this world has to offer including “THY POWER THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE DISPLAYED.” They have accepted the heavy burden of dealing with the troubles of this life and seeks to know another way, YOU THE GREAT COMFORTER TO ALL who did receive YOU as their personal SAVIOR. Still, YOU have shown them NEW MERCY every day with each thought they make and each breath they take.
Unfortunately, like the prodigal son, we are all guilty of wandering far from YOU LORD because the negative experiences of our lives tend to build roadblocks to the TRUTH. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them to identify the way, truth, and eternal life (that is YOU). Since to know and follow your SPIRIT is more exciting than any 007 movie, and YOU DELIGHT MAKING the ordinary into extraordinary. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST MAKE them understand that there is no way around YOUR TRUTH, and that there is something about YOUR NAME. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them defeat in their minds what is false in YOUR EYES.
LORD GUIDE their thoughts to know that the path of sin is hard on their hearts for the purpose of crying out to YOU to know the joy, peace of having the heavy burden LIFTED by THE GOD OF PEACE I AM, and ANCHOR their souls in THE HAVEN OF REST. In other words, LORD use the storms in their lives to get a hold of them to trust YOU and believe. In truth, YOU ARE THE JOY that seekest them through pain.
LORD HELP their fainting hearts to believe that YOU, who was slain on the cross over 2000 years ago has the POWER TO CHANGE lives today through the INSTANTANEOUS GREAT FAVOR from GOD to the house of Israel made known in believers by YOU to make YOUR NAME EVERLASTING. 🥰 For as the statue liberates the citizens so the cross liberates the soul. ONLY YOU can calm the trouble waters of the mind when one admits to wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, JESUS IS LORD, and believes in the heart that GOD RAISED HIM from the dead TO LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt away from the heart in accordance to YOUR WORD found in Psalm 51:1-10 KJV. 👏👏👏👏👏👏 O, the wonder of it all to experience within the flesh the feeling of a tree being cut back/pruned inorder for it to grow stronger and more beautiful after meditating on the words of said Psalm. 🥰🙌
LORD MAKE them know that ONLY YOUR HOLY SPIRIT, through the experience of a new birth within believers, can prevent the family circle from being broken because THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE YOU HAVE GRANTED means a chapter of their lives is decided. Creation sings the rebirth song for them yearly, through YOUR PROMISE of springtime, giving rise to the idea that by the mention of YOUR NAME flowers grow, and the desert blooms again. 🥰
LORD GUIDE their understanding of words to use to come into YOUR PRESENCE with an honest reverence of WHO YOU ARE to experience the beauty that time can't erase YOUR WISDOM resting on their faces. LORD STRENGTHEN their determination to never waiver in efforts to search for YOU because the wages of sin is too high for anyone to pay. Additionally, THE KING OF KINGS is needed in their hearts to learn how to expand their capacity to love for YOU are LOVE in any language. 🥰 Once they learn to speak it with boldness through YOUR WONDERFUL COUNSELING all the world will hear, and know that LOVE is the language of their hearts. So LORD, KEEP KNOCKING on their doors until they let YOU in to know hardships and struggles will end with a GREAT CELEBRATION WITH YOU. 🥰🙌
If one believes faith cannot be forced, YOU WILL GIVE that individual over to the stubborn heart to follow own counsel which will surely fail him or her to the extent that the punishment will last forever found in Psalms 81 NIV. Given this, I pray that YOU WILL MAKE that person see that this feeling is wasted for a world in which we become strangers as we age, gives us thrills instead of peace, aims to solve a problem but creates another, and unrest surges with each passing generation. Shed some light into their broken hearts for YOU ARE THE GREAT JEHOVAH, THE GOD THAT HEALETH thee.
Lastly, LORD when they call on YOU in earnest prayer to come into their hearts to be born again, I pray that YOU WILL GIVE them the blessed assurance of their salvation because nothing breaks YOUR HEART, or tears YOU apart like when they cry from the trials of the devil who comes to slander, falsely accuse, steal, kill & destroy. Only by drawing nearer to YOU LORD will put them on a path to a glorious one way trip winding upward to YOU where pain is not welcome because the heart will never break anymore. For ONLY YOU UNDERSTANDS our tears since YOU LOOK at the heart, while humans look at the flesh.
O LOVE that will not let them go. When they don't have the strength to try, and have cried all they can cry hear their hearts that need YOU more today than yesterday. Many thanks LORD for speaking TRUTH in our lives TO BLESS those who are not offended by THEE. LET YOUR WILL BE DONE because YOUR LOVE ALONE CONQUERS everything by WAITING for them to cease struggling, and finally surrender to YOUR EMBRACE to learn about YOUR LOVE AND PROMISE TO TAKE CARE of your children exquisitely. 🥰 Since...
