How hard is it to replace the wire and plug set going to those stick coils?

Hi Chris, your videos are priceless. Bought a 99 1100Rs. Since it's gotten cold here my idle has gone down to about 800, sometimes stalling. How would I bring it back up to about 1000 without messing everything else up since it runs great under acceleration. TY

Back the airscrews out a bit to increase idle.

Hey Chris...I have a 2004 R1150RT...Looks the same as the bike in the video....I believe the clutch spline stripped out... because two weeks ago I shifted into third and heard a noise and then rolling on the throttle there was no transfer of energy to the rear tire just a whining sound. I am in the process of tearing it down...with the help of
(watching) your 2:24 hr video on the Transmission and Clutch Replacement...on a 2000 R1100...anyway when you replaced the clutch you measured 12mm between the lock nut and the nuroring?...and 7mm of free play on the clutch lever....my 2004 does not have the lock nut and Nuroring....do I need to have 7mm of free play on the clutch lever...the Clymer Manual says there is no clutch adjustment (doesn't make sense) ...your reply is very much appreciated!

Hello William, your 1150 has a hydraulic clutch. There is no adjustment possible. If there is a horrendous noise when the engine is running and the noise changes if you pull the clutch lever in and it sounds like this: th-cam.com/video/vvQaZhh662Q/w-d-xo.html your splines have failed., unfortunately. I hope not. Good luck, Chris

Hello Chris...Thank you so much for your reply!!! I have taken down the bike by watching your video...without it...I wouldn't have attempted it...It was the clutch that was stripped out and the input shaft from the transmission wasn't in to bad of shape so I replaced the Clutch disc. I purchased the Clutch disc and Staburag NBU30 along with the new gasket and rubber washer for the slave cylinder from beemerboneyard! The nearest repair shop is 100 miles from here and he said it was between $2500 and $3200 to repair it....I purchased everything along with the alignment tool for $320....so your video is a god send! Now it is just putting everything back together...Fingers crossed!
I wish you nothing but the BEST in life Sir!!!

I will let you know when I get it back together and whether it runs...or NOT....fingers crossed...I am buying a 12mm angled hex allen to get the pins put in correctly! Thanks William

BMW is out of their German minds . . . there has to be a car part replacement from a Japanese car or truck that's 1/3 the cost of that SHITTY BMW stick coil.
H E L L N O. You have to kill me first to make me pay that much for one stinking coil.
