    • @nobleskywalker4639
      @nobleskywalker4639 7 ปีที่แล้ว +654

      Mo Yusuf actually this combined with luthor's plot is a pretty big part of the story problem is that the plot in the theatrical was incomplete it was a combination of blaming superman for africa, framing batman for the deaths in prison so essentially lex played both of them which is something lex luthor is capable of doing

    • @Mikeydude27
      @Mikeydude27 6 ปีที่แล้ว +287

      Lex is still part of the reason they fought! People had this issue that they didn't fight cause of their ideologies, it was Lex's plan. Well It was actually a combination of them both! Batman already didn't like Superman cause of the 911 chaos that went down in Metropolis. Superman already didn't like Batman cause he's been branding criminals non stop. But Lex seeing all this and knowing who they both are, and what their ideologies are, he makes this plan to pull the strings to make Batman hate Superman a lot more

    Unlike most versions of Clark Kent where he was always a shy, bumbling and very mild mannered guy, this one was very confident and actually outspoken on what was wrong and right, he came across as a guy you could actually speak to and trust with the truth unlike most reporters who like to exaggerate the story and look for an easy way to get their name on the top of the paper's byline. This movie was one of the few rare times we got to see Clark Kent in full investigative reporter mode trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together, i thought this was one of the better versions of the character and Henry Cavill did an amazing job bringing those elements to the front.

      There's also the "hunting" part specifically. Not only with what Travis NEWgod said about the Man-Bat scene, but the other scene where he returns to that place and says, "They were hunters," as well as Batman "hunting" the kryptonite Luthor was having transported. After this scene, as well as the one with the woman saying to Clark that you don't stop men like Batman with words, but with a fist, Superman halts the Batmobile. He put a stop to Batman's hunt-at least temporarily.
      While I'm at it, I'd like to say, I love the look on Batman's face when he first sees Superman. Absolutely terrifying. He's seeing him in person for the first time. He just appears out of nowhere and stops him dead in his tracks. Literally.

    This adds a nice layer to the character. Clark is a person who strongly believes in truth and justice, being an investigative journalist perfectly compliments his Superman identity. He can help people by uncovering lies/conspiracies that others are too fearful to do so because powerful/dangerous foes are behind it. There are things he can do as Clark that he cannot as Superman vice versa, the two identities back each other up.

    • @Syryu
      @Syryu 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Exactly. I'm always annoyed when Superman stories sideline his Journalist Clark Kent identity in favor of Lois chasing scoops and Superman just showing up to catch or punch things. Clark is just as effective a reporter as Lois. Him hitting the streets and talking to people, especially vulnerable people builds his "Champion of the Opressed" title and reinforces Clark's love for humanity.
      Also it gives the story a more grounded and human element rather than frequent sci-fi threats.

You could've had the flash/Injustice scene, a scene with no context or explanation, as a post credit and include this in the movie. Post credits are for teasing, so explanation isn't mandatory. Have WW checking out JL via e-mail as post title credits, then Mad Max Batman as post credit. Simple and would've saved a big part of the movie

      The knightmare scene I feel played a good role in the continuation of the JL, but maybe not in the movie's story. Because the Knightmare scene is the future that the movie was headed without the formation of the JL, where everything goes to shit. And Flash came back in time to warn bruce to find the JL, which changes the time line and now lets us have the future of the actual JL not the Knightmare. It's really cool to see and think about but, I agree it should not have been in the movie especially since it felt really out of place

      The nightmare scene had multiple purposes. It was pivotal in Bruce's change in attitude towards Superman. Before the scene Bruce's fear of Superman was a hunch. He lies to Alfred about pursuing Kryptonite. He is not yet sure that what he is doing is right. After the nightmare he delivers the whole: "If we believe there is even a ONE percent change he is our enemy we have to take it as an ABSOLUTE certainty" story. It delivers proper motivation for Bruce to go after Superman without loosing credibility in the eye of the viewer. Then it tied in to a bigger universe and a future movie. Brilliantly done imo

      I think it'd make sense for it to be Bullock, given he's always disapproved of Batman's methods and the fact that Gordon condones them. Sure, he's criticizing the GCPD in the article, but the fact that Batman is now seemingly branding criminals for execution, to him, would be crossing the line and he'd have to speak out against it.
      At the same time, it's a little well-spoken for Bullock, but it could be more like the Batman: Earth One version.
      I could see it being Dent if this does happen to take place before his downfall and rebirth as Two-Face, though.

    • @NickFamzi
      @NickFamzi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup like what others said as maybe Harvey Bullock instead of Harvey Dent who for sure became Two Face around the DCEU ariund few years ago in the current DCEU timeline and hopefully we still see Two Face with interactions with Batfleck and the others in new upcoming DCEU movies around the future in years from now which would be very exciting!

    Zack Snyder: Writes a wonderful little arc for Clark Kent as an average, everyday reporter and gives him a motive and a reason for Clark to go after Batman after discovering the horrifying facts and the truth.
    WB: That’s cool.
    Zack: Great.
    WB: Let’s cut it out.
    Zack: Wait, what?
    WB: Yeah, we don’t need the audience and critics to figure out what Superman’s motive is. They just want to see them fight, that’s it.

      What do you mean Batman shouldn't have branded or killed him...? Do you all think that a life in prison is enough motivation for assholes to not become criminals? Do you all actually think that there would be a shred of peace or justice in this world, if humans were not kept in check by fear 24/7? Criminals should be tortured until they beg for death, every last one of them.
      And for those worthless idiots who actually buys that "oh, but he has a kid" bullshit, when you decide to live in a country, there's the implied promise that you'll follow that country's rule. And, in this world where everybody has an angle, there just isn't enough resource to to make everybody happy. That promise to follow same the set of rules as everybody else, that's the only thing that can be effectively enforced and still be relatively fair for the entire population. So, if you break that promise, no matter what the circumstances are, it's lights out for you.

    Would've like to see more scenes like this. One of my faves from the WB animated series was an episode where it was mostly Clark trying to solve the incarceration of an innocent man. He used his super hearing to listen to the man's heartbeat to deduce he wasn't lying for example. Superman's cool and everything but he can also come off one-dimensional and wooden.
