- Hello viewers, in this episode I set about respraying the gear surround panel on my Mk2 Ford Focus ST.
It's started to look a little tired, so a respray was in order.
I hope you enjoy the video, and thanks for watching.

Got the same trouble with mine buddy, will give this a go, thanks for the video, very helpful
Good luck, and thanks for watching 👀 😁
That has tidied the trim nicely there Paul. Great job Sir! 👍🏻
Thank you Russell, it's starting to come together.
Another good video Paul 👍 not noticed mine being in the same condition but will check tomorrow and see, given me some ideas so thanks 👍
Yours is probably mint John, thanks for watching 😁
@@PaulinhoThompson Think I was just lucky with the one I bought.
I'm not sure I'd go for a massive gear stick up there, I find the stick you have perfect height, good video as usual Paul ! :D
Cheers 😁 the standard ones are nice. I'm considering a short shift kit, do you have one ?
@@PaulinhoThompson Yes I have a short kit, gear change is nice with it
@@Rarkal cool, I'll look into getting one, thanks.
Old knobs/big shaft/lotions made me laugh. Or is my mind in the gutter ?
On another note ...The shift kit is great especially if the linkage is mounted high. Its like changing gears on a motor cycle as they have a very short shift.
Btw The ST (XR5) in Australia does not have the 12v outlet (lighter) in the panel like your car Paul. Thats a good way to have it.
We have it (unlucky) only one located under the arm rest between the seats . That means whatever is plugged in the cord gets damaged from the arm rest .
Or are you super lucky to have both ?
Cheers
LoL glad you liked the jokes, interesting to know the differences in UK and your car. Thanks for watching.
Hi Paul, your videos are great. I've been doing similar niggly jobs on my ST and this is on my list! I also want to repaint the bonnet vents that were on the car when I bought it. Keep up the great content 👍
Appreciate the complements Kev, and good luck doing yours.
