Your video saved me a lot of money dishing out for a new motor mine only had the front bearing seized I have it fixed now thanks to this videos help thanks bro😊
@@Hungrybird474 well, is it getting real hot, stop moving-the bearing will eventually seize, short battery life. If you take the motor mount assembly off- you should be able to spin the motor by turning the sur gear on the bottom side… make sense?
Good job. The bread trick is way cool. I would think that you could use contact cleaner to de-grunge the rotor and stator. It's crazy to see how much dirt gets into the motor. Thanks for sharing all this great information. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Bread trick,LIKE A BOSS...will it work on a Hobbywing 4kv 3652 540 "can"? Endbell isn't a thru hole like 3500kv velineon motor....thanks for any info on that. Thanks for sharing too......"Bread trick"LMAO.👍🍻
@@phillybrc I got the motor and armature out. The one bearing was broken to pieces. I noticed a partial ring of what looks like blue silicone under where the bearing would go. I didn’t see any partial blue chunks fall out. Do you know what this is? If not I could post a video on my TH-cam channel.
The motors came with my RC”s…and i bought one used on Facebook Marketplace. Are you in the states? I hear Jennysrc is awesome for stock parts. Cheap prices
Another great video!!! The bread trick is awesome! I have a feeling I'll be doing this soon. Right now I'm waiting on new metal parts for the rear diff. The plastic gears look like they're designed to fail. I have one question for you... I have a Granite, I want another... Granite, Big Rock or Typhon? Oh, and get yourself some affiliate links so you can make money on all the purchases you force me into! :)
HAHA. I would like to make some money lol. I love having the Granite and the Typhon. Similar but different…being able to have options between buggy and truggy with the Typhon is so cool. It rips as a buggy and thinkin of puting some slick Hoons or something like that for the asphalt…Typhon is killer. Also the Typhon sails off jumps as a buggy with very little correction in the air. Best starte rc for kids in my opinion too.
Unfortunately the bearing all the way in the bottom shredded itself. When the main part of the motor came out, a bunch of ball bearings followed it so I'm stuck with the outer ring of the bearing and it ain't budging. Sucks I've got to replace a whole motor because 1 bearing came apart and the remaining part can't be removed.
@@phillybrc That would work if it was the whole bearing, its not, just the outer ring of the bearing. We can't get anything into it to try to cut it out either.
I’m in the same boat. Did you ever get it out? I made a little pick tool, Ive heated the housing, I’m running out of ideas. Perhaps cutting it with a dremel but I suspect it’s hardened…
The bread thing, omg. I thought I was in the twilight zone for a second. That’s unbelievable.
Haha, unreal that trick actually works! I ve done it many times. Thanx for watchin!
@@phillybrc my new motor bearings are coming on Saturday. I cannot wait to try this 😆.

Blew so many bearings in that same motor I through to the side and went castle! great video 👌🏽

Good info..Bread trick was cool
I agree!! So wild!
Nice video 👍 It's like they designed these motors to be throw away. You should be able to get to the front and rear bearing easier.
I agree, but for a couple bucks a bearing it s worth going thru the effort to just keep blasting them til they fail! Thanx man!
Very nice video. Make this repair look really easy.
Thank you for that great compliment.
Wow! I haven’t had one go yet, my wire cover at the motor always breaks. Maybe I don’t drive in enough dirt. Great how to! 💯👍
Ohhh ya, Philly s doin’ it in the dirt! Cheap fix. Thanx bro.
Freak’n sweet video brother. very well done!
Many people forget about those two bearings.
Love the comedic commentary too!
Thanx Randy! Thanx for watching man, I appreciate!!
For both side
Thank you! I really needed this video.
Hope it helps! Thanx Jessica
Thanks for the video!
Anya advice on how to get the bearing race out if I didn't catch it in time and the front bearing already exploded?
There is a tool you can buy that looks like a step-bit drill bit. It has a handle so it will grab and extract the race.
Very good tutorial brother! Thanks for sharing!
Thanx bro, thanx for checkin it out!
Awesome upload brother! 👊good job!👏👍💯

Great video. When you did the bread trick did you have to hammer the shaft to get it started? Thanks
No, just pushing by hand worked. Use back of the rotor shaft. Thanx Bapa
Would that be the cause of a motor making a whiney screeching sound?
I could see how a seized bearing could make that noise but can t say that I ve actually heard that.
great job mate..keep going champ🏆
Thanx man!
i can't for the life of me get the new bearing seated flush. any tips?
No kidding. Is there any dirt or debris under the bearing? Stopping it to seat? Any possible chance you have wrong bearing?

So, just the outer race is stuck in there?
Try a masonry bit. Wedge in there then spin it with the drill. It may break it free
