He is a rodeo cowboy. He didnt make finals or win money in the rodeo he was participating in(the short go). Cheyenne, Wyoming has one of the biggest rodeos in the country. She was tired of being second to his rodeo career.
Chasing the Rodeo is a dangerous career choice especially if you’re riding bulls or bucking horses. That’s why she never knew what his call would bring
King George! He is called that for a reason! Simple story telling that doesn't need to be an over produced song or live show! He is a true working cowboy to this day on his ranch in Texas! Married to his high school sweetheart in 1971! The song is about a Cowboy making the rodeo circuit from town to town! BTW I'm glad you liked "Dad at Comedy Barn" for your birthday! Love your channel and reactions!
Me and my wife just saw him in concert with Chris srapletin as an opening act for this man who is the king of country. I was watching .my wife who is 61. She was fangirling over this man, and I had to concede that idea because it's understandable. He's a real man. She watched him when she was in high school and had a solid crush back then. HES AMAZING LIVE!
Say Shy Ann. I love George and I am in Australia. Short call, he didn’t make to what we would call the finals or the 8:13 money round. George was never a singer, he was always a rancher in his heart and a family man with a lot of talent. His wife was his high school sweetheart and she never missed a concert. Thank you.
if your a rodeo cowboy you go from one rodeo to another during the season. there is a new rodeo every weekend. so a cowboy goes from to another all over the country. traveling all week then rodeo on the weekend. many do not get home for 2 - 6 weeks at a time during the season. to a rodeo cowboy the rodeo always is number one in their life with everything else taking a backseat.
Rodeo has a professional tour, similar to golf. Some rodeos have an elimination round, with the top scorers competing in a second round (the short go) for the prize money. If memory serves, Cheyenne (the capital of Wyoming, hence "aimed his truck toward that Wyoming line") is the last rodeo on the circuit for the year and has the largest purse. As mentioned below, if you react to the video of "Amarillo By Morning," you will see clips of rodeo competition.
When it says “expecting the worst in the back of her mind.” Look up Lane Frost. There’s a great movie about him called 8 Seconds. He died in a rodeo in Cheyenne. That’s a good explanation for that part. The “short go” is the final round where the top dogs and buckles are (and the money). Relationships are also hard in the circuit. You’re away from home months at a time and with the dangerous nature of riding a Bronco or Gary bull that can weigh upwards of 2000 lbs, It’s a stressful environment. Subscribed to you. Enjoy your reactions
I live in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The largest outdoor rodeo in the country. For the week, (last full week of July) its a love/hate for it. Brings tons of money but the traffic is HORRIBLE!
Rodeo cowboys travel around on their various circuits. It's hard on relationships because they're hardly ever home. Plus, with the rough stock riders (bulls and bucking horses) there's always the chance of terrible injuries or even death, although it's like any sport, and it has its dangers. Injuries can happen in any of the events. There are also buckle bunnies, which are like rodeo groupies, also not good for a relationship. And they're broke most of the time because they're living on the hope of prize money which generally goes to someone else.
Staying in Cheyenne, check out Garth Brooks' "Beaches of Cheyenne". It is another tragic rodeo love story, but with a chilling twist. It has always given me chills.
It’s not necessarily that he’s a “fast man”. He is just living a life chasing rodeos instead of a normal 40 hour a week job with steady paychecks. Add to that the danger in the job and it can be tough on a relationship.

George Straight is the king of country in our era🫶🏻
One of my absolute favorite artists, regardless of genre. Another favorite song of his (among so many) is Amarillo by Morning.
“Run” is a Must.

I think you would like his song "Troubadour"! He also has a funny song "All My Exes Live in Texas"! You just can't go wrong with any of his songs!
Gotta love George strait he is the king of country ❤

Also George is a real cowboy that has done the rodeos. ❤❤❤❤ Great reaction.
The movie he made is really good. It's called
Pure Country.
It's pronounced ShyAnn. Nice reaction. There was a time many, many moons ago I had a massive crush on George.
He was my very first crush! My second was Christopher Reeves as Superman.
I named my 2nd daughter, Cheyenne after this song came out she's 33 now, after that everybody was naming their daughters Cheyenne
Absolutely 💯 fire

You have to check out The Chair by George Strait!
Cheyenne hosts one of the biggest rodeos in the world, fwiw.
Rodeo is a way of life. It could be music or business or many other things and the song would still fit.
I had a cousin that died when threw off a bull practicing for a rodeo. Got a hoof in the heart
Another song in this same vein is “Rodeo” by Garth Brooks. It’s how the rodeo life is first over everything.
George is the best!
He’s also know as having the largest concert the US.
110,000 + people.

Another country music icon is Garth Brookes. Please check out Rodeo, The Thunder Rolls and Papa Loved Mama 😉
My favorite is “They Call me the Fireman”
It's referring the rodeo in Wyoming. Short round is the finals. And this is my wife's horses name lol.

Yes George is known for the twin fiddles.
React to George Strait Amarillo by morning and you will see an example of rodeo.
You should watch 8 Seconds it's a great movie about a real cowboy Lane Frost. It explains the cowboy life so well. It's a dangerous life
🤠🔥🤠
Another great Rodeo song and a new artist for you would be "Hooked on an 8 second ride" by Chris LeDoux
If you get a chance check out a rodeo video. These are tough guys. I think you will like it.
The song is very literal. Some understanding of "Rodeo" is required.
Cheyenne is pronounced like Shy-anne.
Shy-ann is the capital of the state of Wyoming.
Just a cowboy following his dream,of chasing them rodeo's and trying to make some money.
Rodeo circuit
It is pronounced "shyanne".
He loves the woman but he's a rodeo junkie.
Play any king George music, there's is nothing but great music
He’s a rodeo Cowboy, he didn’t make the short go/finals in the rodeo ring….cowboys are gone a lot chasing dreams of the 8 second ride
React to David Allan Coe- Spotlight.
Pronounced Shy-Ann
Its pronounced,,shy ann..

Add to that the danger in the job and it can be tough on a relationship.
He's on the road/rodeo circuit trying to make some money, and away from home for long periods of time..
I rodeo'd for years and i can tell you it's like a drug. Fear, thrills and excitement. Believe me it can ruin a life also.
