    Truly a beautiful mindset/world to be in once you get to this point naturally in life. And majority of other people just don't understand why you are who you are or why you do what you do but that's fine. I'm going to die living through this journey and being out of my comfort zone and I'm perfectly ok with that

    David Tuffley, a great deal of what you've said about "SA people" reminds me of a lot of people that I know, including myself. However, I do not feel I've found my calling in life, or meaningful purpose. I tend to be overly analytical. With every question I've found answers, three or four more questions replace it. I never feel I'm getting ahead of mastering my own life. As far as avocation, I feel held back by fear of failure. There's a constant agonizing question which burns in the back of my mind. "What if I'm wrong?" And this applies to every circumstance and occasion I've encountered. If there's anything I've felt certain about, it's that nothing is absolutely certain. How would an "SA person" overcome this headgame which leads to purpetual doubting and questioning? And, is that even a healthy state of mind?

      It would be to understand that making mistakes is an indispensable part of making progress. There's a saying among successful IT entrepreneurs that it is good to "fail early, and fail often" so you get the inevitable false starts out of the way before succeeding. Trial and error is the natural way. So you could ease up on yourself about making mistakes. If you're anything like me, I still recall the taunting voices from childhood that ridiculed me for mistakes, I just don't listen to them any more.

      David Tuffley - Thank you for that sound advice. I must be one of the rare few that has impeded myself despite praise and support in my upbringing. Everyone used to go on about how intelligent I was and how making a life should be easy for me. After a failed marriage and strained relationships with family members, along with lack of direction and guidance, and serious changes in religious outlook, I feel adrift and lacking confidence to invest much in doing anything worthwhile. Perhaps spending time with my sons in completing an art project I've been considering for a while will give me a boost in the direction of taking on larger projects. Your words in this video are very comforting. Thank you, again.

      @@DavidTuffley I truly believe we think alike, We should hangout sometime ! That is me and my since of humor. I hate to name drop, but I had a friend named Sam K. We did comedy together, He called our since of humor our built-in Self-Defense Mechanism With my upbringing it was a great tool to use. But to be on this journey is that bad to have? I love to l make people laugh or smile.

    I can connect everything you describe to myself. I truly in tuned with reality. I understand life from its great extent down to a single organism. Meditate daily. I'm see myself as one with the universe and I believe life has no purpose but to wake up everyday, i know I'm a successful human being. I not judge mental but I view society as a two way mirror cube and I'm in the center looking out. I've came to realize I am not ordinary. But for this same reason I feel unrecognizable. Almost alien like. This feeling has been driving me crazy wanting to find a reason but fall into depression. I reach the top to fall back down. Where do I go from here??

      (Being true to oneself would be my advice, but then again who am i to say).

      Delll Delll wow ty delll. Seeing this again reminds me truly who I am. I am sa. I am dasein. Always transending and I continue my journey to truly meet my destiny.. I had my world at a standstill for so long it's taken me more than a year to leave the dark night.. According to the anatomy of the spirit by Caroline myss, I needed psychiatric help to understand what I was going thru but with daily meditation and re evaluating toxic relationships, i have moved on and vowed to never endure that dark night without an ultralight heart. My last meditation I found my 'higher self' she held my hand and as I walked away, her golden iridescence fill my misty grey ora like glitter in a snow globe. LOL and I came up with my own daily prayer: never forget, innocence, you are the gift shining your light on those around you. Appreciate each day you help a tree grow larger, a frustrated boy understand, a shadow to know where to go. You are there for them with your inner light know each day you wake, give thanks for it, everything else is accidental. The world is ours. Maslow would definitely get me. And thank you again for your words of encouragement!

    Dear David, thanks so much for this very helpful video, which I perceived as almost made exactly to answer my personal dilemmas and needs. I do appreciate also your presentation, incl. a very pleasant voice, so it's an enjoyable experience to learn from you. My only suggestion would be to use teleprompter in future videos, as then you will look us in the eyes -much better then looking below and right as in the video. I subscribed with thanks.

    Great video and it gave me so many answers to my questions. one question i want to ask which is, do SA people perceive reality in early childhood?

    • @DrDavidTuffley
      @DrDavidTuffley 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Self-actualization happens when those lower needs are met - a child could be having all of their lower needs met and be in the process of self-actualising. The child would need enlightened parents and an ideal childhood - not an easy thing to arrange.

    Any help appreciated - I am very much individualistic as you describe. I am massively anti group think. However, the “group” tend to ostracise me and gang up on me somewhat. How does one prevent this

    • @DavidTuffley
      @DavidTuffley  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my own case, I stopped trying to be part of the group, withdrew from it but not entirely. People noticed but made no effort to bring me back. Later, the did try, because now they were curious. Doing this brings you onto a new and better footing with the people in your life.
